Daughter & Mother! We are originally from Quito, Ecuador, but now we live in Los Angeles, CA. Our family owns Casa LunaLoma, a beautifully restored 100-year-old colonial house in the heart of Old Town Quito and the house that raised my Mother and her 8 siblings. Needless to say, it's a very special home which our family has now opened its doors to welcome guest visiting Ecuador.

Our Apartment "Panecillo" is a self standing apartment located in the first floor of Casa LunaLoma, a beautifully restored colonial house that has been divided into seven unique apartment/lofts, each one carrying it's own personality and special qualities.
This house was built at the beginning of nineteen hundreds in one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Old Town Quito, La Loma Grande. With a colonial architecture, three internal cobblestone patios adorned with geraniums and green climbing plants around the wooden pillars, was home of the Cascante-Lopez family that lived in this house for more than fifty years.
The house “stayed sleeping” for a long time, everything was closed down. Fortunately a family member took in his hands the big undertaking of restoring the house. While rebuilding the house he and the architect were able to balance the original architecture and antiqueness and at the same time bring the new comfort to the seven apartments.
The combination of stone and a variety of travertine tiles that was employed through the interior patios, along with the beautifully crafted stone water fountain that decorates the first patio, provides a warm atmosphere.
The house has a superb and magnificent view of the Panecillo and Virgen of Quito, from the terrace. In a perfect night with open sky and shining stars you can have a drink in the terrace and enjoy the view.
Following completion of the remodeling, preserving the old and balancing the new, bringing up the best of the artisans involved in the work, we are very pleased with the results and proud to present six wonderful apartments.
Each apartment has its own personality, nicely and comfortably decorated. These belong to the family, and are ready to be placed at the service of the tourist. We want to offer our guests a flavor of past generations, and comfort, and enjoyment of the present.

Our Apartment, a 800 sq. feet, has a unique balance of modern amenity comfort and design touches along with old colonial architecture and finishes.
Our apartment is cozy and light filled.
The living room is great for a small social gathering a family friendly: Great for just stretching or relaxing with a great book! Our living room also holds a record player with a collection of original traditional Quiteño music! It's perfect to get you fully in the mood!, but it also works as a Bluetooth speaker.
The dining room is perfect for a cozy intimate dinner and has a unique very modern feature of a rotating kitchen table that can be extended out during dinner or rotates back into position when more room is needed in the living room. It's a very modern touch within this apartment. We welcome you with some goodies which we always provide to our guest to include: Medium size bottles of our most iconic local mineral water called "Guitig" (A must-try), local Ecuadorian ground coffee, local Tea and crackers.
The kitchen is All custom wood and brand new. The style of the cabinets have been built to replicate the original colonial style found within casa LunaLoma. It is a fully functioning kitchen with fridge, gas stove and microwave. It also holds a washer and dryer which is very convenient!
Our apartment is WiFi friendly with a smart TV. We have two twin sized beds with a comfortable mattress that together make up a larger bed if needed. There is a build in closet.
Our apartment has free fiber optic internet connection with high-speed WiFi-enabled access throughout the house, so you remain connected.
Our apartment is cozy and light filled.
