Great House

House is as advertised. If you have a big group, this is the way to go. Property manager was responsive to any questions and was very pleasant. Location is very central and slightly away for “tourists central,” which my group appreciates.

Big house, great location

Pro: Interior was very clean, house has a lot of room, & has its own pool & spa.Con: Landlord has obviously skimped on maintenence & repair. stained carpet, pool table needs to be replaced, makeshift repairs on pool table and at least one bed.

Loved every minute

The place was just perfect. I loved every minute of my stay. The rooms was clean. The house was very spacious, and check in was easy peasy. My only regret was that I didnt get the pool heated bc the water was cold. I will definitely rebook again.

Spacious and clean

Overall, the house was very spacious and clean. It was in a quiet area of the resort. However, there were physical signs of wear and tear-blinds broken or missing, sofa and loveseat with recliners that did not recline and had some torn areas, stove not working properly for the amount of cooking my family did, pool table with a broken/loose leg, and some spotted areas on the rug but overall, I enjoyed the house. It had enough space for family members, it was very clean, and had enough supplies to meet our needs.

Police activity

On Friday there were kids in a car club and the police came to handle the disruption On Saturday there was a shooting and we couldn’t get of cars from the crime scene. People were shot and killed in the home across from my rental. I will never stay here again and I should be compensated for this

Rent At Your Own Risk!

1. There was trash/rotten food in a bin very near the front door upon our arrival, and rats. 2. There was crumbs and food on top of both refrigerators. 3. I paid for use of the grill, but upon arrival there was a lock on the grill which prevented us from using it to cook that first and second day (as we had planned) and the owner did not respond to my texts and calls until after I contacted vrbo and they emailed him. 4. There was also payment for pool heating which did not happen until day 2. 5. The downstairs AC did not work THE ENTIRE time. 6. One of the dinning room chairs was very near breaking and almost caused one of my guest injury. 7. Owner now an additional fees for "marks on the walls" despite showing no evidence AND never addressing the issues we had during our stay. 8. The owner was contacted on two separate occasions, during our stay, by me regarding these issues and in both instances, did not respond until I contacted vrbo and asked them to email him.

OK house. Owner is the problem with hidden rules and penalties.

House was fine. Layout of house was great for the 12 people from my company. Location was deeper in neighborhood and further from interstate than we expected, so commute was longer than expected to the convention center. The problem is the owner. He had rules for the house that were not in the original agreement, and they were given to us the day before check in. These include, no shoes are to be worn on the carpet. More than 50% of the house is carpet. There are fines/penalties if a stain is found from someone wearing shoes on the carpet. Funny thing is that the carpet has poorly patched holes in it paint and caulk splatter all over it. Another rule that is by the thermostats is that you cannot turn the temperature below 72 degrees. This left some of the bedrooms warm upstairs and people sweating in their sleep. There were fines/penalties for turning down the thermostat as well. None of these "rules" were in the original rental agreement that we agreed to when booking the house. I even told the owner that, which he didn't care. We followed his "rules" because it wasn't worth fighting additional fees but had every intention of sharing this info with other potential renters.

Greedy, frugal and dishonest owner

Although the property's layout was spacious enough for our group, the description and pictures provided were not an accurate reflection of its condition. We were disappointed to find numerous issues with the property during our stay, including non-functional sofa recliners, missing spoons in the kitchen, and broken kitchen appliances, such as the mixer/grinder and toaster oven. The foosball table was also missing several grips, and the pool table had a broken side and torn surface in two places. The pool area chairs were in poor condition, and some were even on the verge of breaking. Unfortunately, the owner's behavior only added to our negative experience. The owner had placed multiple rules within the property that were not included in our original agreement. It was frustrating to be told that we couldn't set the thermostat below 72 without facing extra charges. Additionally, the owner was unresponsive when we reported that the heated pool/Jacuzzi/hot tub was not functioning for three days, and refused to refund us the additional $250 we had paid for it. To make matters worse, the owner attempted to charge us an additional $150 for scratches on the wall, despite the fact that we left the property in good condition. The video provided by the owner as "proof" of the damage was of such poor quality that it was impossible to see anything on the wall. We felt that the owner's behavior was unscrupulous and stingy, as they tried to charge us for damages we did not cause and refused to refund us for a malfunctioning amenity. Based on our experience, we have serious doubts about the owner's trustworthiness and their commitment to providing a fair and enjoyable guest experience. We are also slightly disappointed with VRBO for allowing this type of behavior to continue and for providing a platform that enables hosts to make false claims against guests using stored credit cards.

The overall stay was very nice. The guard on the gate was not helpful or nice.

The overall was nice. Take pictures of any damages. We were accused of breaking something that was already damaged. I would go back and recommend a friend.

Excelent rental house for groups of up to 26 gusts

I rented this property for a group of 25 guest family reunion and Birthdays Celebration. This house is very spacious and comfortable, rooms and the whole house very well distributed, has pretty much all you can expect to find in a hotel. We all enjoyed it very much and I recommend it for large groups like mine. The manager was very helpful by quickly responding all my questions. Thank you Yanjun Li. However, nothing in life is perfect! this house needs some repairs, cleaning and maintenance: Entrance was very filthy, scratches on walls, dirty and stained carpet specially on the stairs (carpet needs to be replaced) Table pool has a broken leg, bathroom close to kitchen has a broken doorknob from inside, and many plates from the dish sets are chipped. Everything else fantastic!

Solterra House 13 Bedroom

Eight senior male golfers, shared this house. Plenty of room and well equipped for our catered meals. We managed to cook. a few nights but pots, pans and utensels are below average quality. Having two refrigerators and two dishwashers are prefect! Guards at entrance still make it more difficult to enter and exit than is needed. They serve no purpose, in my opinion. I would recommend the house, but do not expect it to be well equipped to cook, we had to buy pasta strainer, wine opener, can opener etc.

GREAT STAY

Pros: Personal Pool, Wi-Fi, free streaming services, foosball table, close to grocery store, GREAT community Pool, ample parking, nice size rooms and common areas. Cons: Not near beach, grill not free, limited kitchen supplies (only one (1) fork, should have more TV in Bed rooms (only 3) for a thirteen bed room house, iron and iron board is to small for such a large house, Sheets and towels need to be upgraded (stains found on sheets) and more towels for a house that size.

House was okay

The overall experience was okay. We were not overally impressed. Lots of stains on carpet, crayon marking on wall, lots of patches in drywall (unfinished), pool filter broke and took better part of day to get someone to come out and fix it. The community pool area was great.
