Great stay

Great mid-week stay for my family. The space is small but it's all we needed. Check in and out was easy, there were plenty of towels, and amenities were great. The EV charger was really beneficial (it was a J1772 adapter).

Great Place To Stay

The condo was well furnished and in a perfect place. We loved it and look forward to staying there again ! Vacasa staff was EXCELLENT !!!

The view is astonishing, and a 12-minute drive of free entry to the grandfather mountain trail. The main gate to grandfather mountain took 15 to 20 minutes to drive. The room is small, but no issue for me, and we spend a few hours a day except for the toilet blocking.

Great place to stay! But lack of information.

This place was great! I booked it just to use their pool and hot tub. Called the host (Vrbo) to see if it was open, but they did what I did, they just looked up the website to see if it was open or not and told me "it says on their website that it's not open." Got there and spent many nights at the hot tub:) I understand they don't own the property, but still, they should have contacted the property manager to ask. Lack of communication with their own place they are using to rent for the public. Other than that, I had a great stay at the place with great views!

HORRIBLE TIME! ZERO STARS!

DO NOT BOOK!! DO NOT BOOK!! Our New Years was ruined!! The front desk at this place even said that this management company is horrible to deal with and consistently messes up. We arrived at 4:05pm to the cleaning crew still in the room and it looked and smelled like they had just arrived. 10 minutes later we see them leaving giving us the thumbs up as if the place was clean. Once we finally got the correct lockbox number and were able to enter the studio, we were hit in the face with an awful smell that lingered our entire stay and the parking passes were not in the room. We were told to drive to the front office to get our parking passes where we were then told we were at the wrong spot and that this studio is managed by a different company that consistently gives this location issues. We were then told by Vacasa we would have someone drop off parking passes to our room several times and no one ever showed up nor did anyone call us back as we were told. We waited and called for 2 days for someone to arrive with our passes and that never happened so we gave up. - UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS - The upstairs neighbors came home at 10:30 at night and would stomp the ground in their snow shoes/boots until 3 AM from Wednesday to Sunday. It sounded like someone was beating on the front door with a hammer. We requested them to at least remove their shoes several times only to have the situation get worse. (I took several videos) We also contacted the management company which told us they would give us a call back. (Never happened) We understand a little foot noise as we’ve lived in an apartment complex, but we clearly can recognize when it becomes disrespectful. For this location to have such a beautiful view and to be so convenient to the slopes, our stay was nothing but inconvenient,tiring and a waste of time! We did not get to take advantage of anything this location had to offer due to the fact of disrespectful neighbors and poor management! We will never rent through Vacasa again.

Needs improvement but could be great

Pros- very responsive host! - great view of the mountains and slopes - relatively close to alot of stuff Cons- not clear at all how to get to the actual unit. They gave an address to a building on the opposite side of the property, there are 11 buildings so they need to be more clear on instructions on exactly what building to go to and what floor. -No pool/spa access- you have to scan a badge to get into the pool/hottub area and there was no access key left in the room, which the heated pool and hottub were the main reason I booked the place. While the hosts were quick to respond, they had no solution to the problem so this really needs to be addressed if you are like me and booked for the hottub. Very disappointed with this... - they need to be clear in the listing that the fireplace is not able to be used, they show pictures of it in the listing but don't mention that you can't use it. It's an electric fireplace so I don't know why we were told we can't use it but also a negative. If they fixed these issues it would be a pretty chill experience but based on my experience I would not book here again

cozy, great view...

fit my travel needs perfectly. Can't beat it for one person, beat camping out in the cold. Cozy, great view, convenient to Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, grocery store, perfect. Now if the Vacasa staff would have provided the correct access code to the front door lock box, that would have saved me 20 minutes and frustration, but no big deal, I got over it once I walked in the door.

Beautiful Views

The positives first: The view from the balcony is breathtaking. It’s a tight fit for a family of 4, but will work if you’re mostly just in unit to sleep. The bed is comfortable. The negatives: While the unit is clean on the surface, it could definitely use a deep clean throughout the unit & kitchen drawers. They could definitely update the utensils, coffee maker, etc. There wasn’t enough towels for the 4 of us. It took 3 calls & a full 24 hrs to get enough towels for us. They don’t have chairs out on the balcony to enjoy the view. Due to weather conditions know the slope that’s next to the unit may not be open (that’s out of their control).

Nice place

Enjoyed our stay. Everything was done online. Only issues we had was we never received a parking pass and info we received said one was needed. Spoke with someone and they said they would bring one but never did. Also checkout was confusing. It said to turn in key at the office. We went there at 9am but nobody was there so we left it in the lock box at the room. Other than that the property was great.

Sugar Ski 11-202

The condo is in a convenient ski-in, ski-out location (about 100 yards to the slopes) so you can avoid the hassle of parking lots and shuttle buses. Some buildings at Sugar Ski & Country Club have an even closer, more convenient location. The mountain views from the condo are outstanding. The kitchen is well-equipped, however there was no bath soap and the heat in the condo wasn’t functioning properly. Fortunately, one of the Vacasa representatives was very quick and agreeable in resolving these issues quickly with portable heaters and a good supply of soap. The studio condo is small but met our needs for 2 nights.

Awesome place

The view was breathtaking, the home was clean it was perfect for my and my boyfriend! The hot water took me a second to figure out but we got it (maybe more detailed instructions on that) but besides that it was perfect and obviously we figured it out so not a bog deal

Easy access and WOW

Access to this home was easy. It's neat, clean AND comfortable. I still cannot get over the view form the balcony. Customer service was prompt and answered all my questions. Thank you for accommodating me on such short notice.

The room was very clean and comfortable, the view was spectacular, I had to video the trees in the morning, when I looked out off the balcony, see the tops of trees swaying with the breeze was amazing, never saw anything like it before, beautiful

Disappointed.

Furniture legs were all loose, blinds and baseboards very dusty. Bed was not proper made. Trash bag very fragil. I clean houses for living and seeing this the rentals that I clean are clean like if the queen was coming to stay.
