Cute little cabin

We loved our stay! The decor was so cute, it felt like we were on the coast. The hot tub was a wonderful addition. Will definitely be back!

Spacious accommodations in a gated community

We really enjoyed our stay at Southern Lights. We had plenty of room, everything was clean and we felt very safe in a gated resort. The owner was very friendly and communication was great. Hope to stay again!

Weekend family getaway

Spacious and at end of culde sac. Hot tub nice but keep lights off (too many nats or misquotes). Beds comfortable and nice quality of sheets. Carpets need professional cleaning. Toliets need adjusting for flushing. Lake access very nice and enjoyed our time there.

Perfect place to stay in the middle of the bourbon trail.

Everything was perfect! Beautiful views, clean home, owner was very responsive and helpful with booking and getting us anything we needed. Even sent someone over with a new propane tank so we could enjoy the outdoor fire pit. It was a perfect centralized location to do multiple locations on the bourbon trail. Would 100% recommend!

Quiet with great view.

Long weekend on the Bourbon Trail with some friends. Was quiet and peaceful while resting and recovering. Coffee on the deck in the morning was lovely. Might be a little far off the Bourbon trail itself, but a few extra minutes of driving as well worth it. Plenty of room for 4 guys.

Manager very responsive, small issues but resolved. Not the most comfortable furniture or kitchen chairs. Very quiet and secluded for peaceful getaway. property has trail down to the water.

Great Location For The Bourbon Trail

The house worked great for us. 3 couples, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, laundry, hot tub and private deck with a fireplace table. The beds were comfortable. We spent minimum time there because we were jetting off every day in a different direction to different distilleries. We grabbed groceries to made dinner and breakfast at the house since there isn’t really any restaurants close by. The house was clean. It’s a dated house and community but the host made it comfortable and it’s way cheaper and more comfortable than a hotel.

Beautiful clean large house with a nice lake view and 2 Master Suites. Property was well kept including the trail behind house going to the lake. Had no issues getting in and settled, and the hottub was nice after the 9 hr drive. Came prepared for bugs near the lake as recommended. Lots of flys and some spiders, didnt have an issue with mosquitoes. A few things for the owner to consider;Carpet replacement - Although it was clean, there are numerous stains from previous vacationers.Main floor master bath fan - On its last leg.Wifi - post the password in the house. Never could find it online and verizon gets about 1/2 a bar.Overall a nice vrbo at a reasonable price and i would stay here again.

No hot water. No hot tub. Dirty windows and dishes.

The area is beautiful but this place was not worth it. As nice as the manager Suzanne was she couldn’t do anything and no one apparently makes sure things are clean and working between rentals. I guess the owners are to blame. They sure don’t take care of what they have. The deck was new. The view was nice. It was the only true part of their ad.

Amazing weekend at the lake

We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely cabin over the weekend. We stayed at Edgewater before but this was the perfect cabin for us. The property is at the end of a cul-de-sac which overlooks the lake from both the main floor deck and the upper master deck. There is a path that goes to the lake which was great for my son to fish and for us to take out the kayaks for a break for lunch. Launching from there would be a challenge but if you have a cart, completely manageable and that is a lovely cove without speed boats. However the marina is just a 1-2 min drive down. The hot tub was amazing, kids and adults enjoyed the time relaxing and enjoying e sights and sounds. The house is immaculately clean. I almost always re-clean a rental and did not feel the need to do so here. Management was incredibly responsive and easily reachable. The Mexican restaurant on the main road is also wonderful. I cannot wait to find time to come back to stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Kentucky Lake House

Our stay was brief, but we enjoyed our time at this property. The house is clean and very well maintained, and the views of the lake from the house were absolutely beautiful.

Spring Break Retreat

Our family chose this location to get away from the busyness that our schedules usually include. It was absolutely perfect! The property felt very much like home and was quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the scenery and even met a few wonderful neighbors also vacationing at the resort. Overall the trip was perfect and our week provided much needed R&R!

Peaceful Getaway

This property was easy to get to and had all we needed for our quick trip! The property managers were responsive during the booking process, and we didn’t need to contact them since we had no issues during our stay - yay! We enjoyed the clean, quiet, and beautiful surroundings along with our dog. We will be back! : )

Perfect for our girls’ weekend

We rented this cabin for a short girls’ weekend getaway (me, my mom, and my sisters). It was perfect. Cabin was well kept, views from the hot tub perfect (perfect for watching the sunset), nearby walking trails, Great Lake view nearby, safe overflow parking, and property manager was very easy to work with. Small maintenance issue arose our first night & she had the handyman out first thing the next morning, he was in and out in 5 minutes and super friendly. While process was hassle-free so we could just relax & enjoy our weekend. Would definitely rent this cabin again!

One of the BEST!

We spent Christmas with family and it was perfect. Owner was awesome to work with, very well stocked with kitchen necessities, paper products, towels, etc. Plenty of room for 6 adults and great location on Bourbon Trail. We will absolutely be back and rent this house again.

21st Birthday Bourbon Tour!!

We rented cabins 53&56 from Sue for our Daughters 21st and couldn't be happier!! My Sister's family stayed in one and us the other. Both places were clean and as advertised. The setting is very nice. Would definitely rent again!!

Great lakeside home

The owners were easy to work with. The house met all our needs. Plenty of towels, paper products, clean surfaces, and comfortable bedding. Our group would definitely use Southern Lights again.
