¡Es hora de sentarse y estar en el tiempo del río! Este apartamento de 1200 pies cuadrados fue diseñado para que los huéspedes descansen, se relajen y se diviertan. The property is wonderful The view of the river and marine traffic is not to be missed. We tracked the ships and watched all of them we could. It was agood location for the falls and whitefish point. Not to mention the interesting So locks. We especially enjoyed the gas firetable and the bathroom up and down stairs. Great stay!

This was our second stay. It was as comfortable as we remembered. Everything was great and we couldn’t wait to watch the ships like we did last time. It’s a perfect location for that! We also appreciate having laundry available. We’ll be back for sure.

Art absolutely loved the view from this condo! He spent most days using his monocular looking at the freighters passing by. "Quick! Quick! There's one coming upbound!" He could not have been happier. Yes, we would definitely stay here again. Contact with the owner was wonderful, as was the location. Very pretty/efficient condo. We could have stayed there forever!

This house was perfect for our 5-night stay over Labor Day weekend. It was exactly as the listing pictures show. Very clean. The views of the passing freighters are AMAZING especially at night! Download an app so you can see info about the boats. We use a free one called BoatWatch. We caught Northern Lights one night as well! Tasteful decor, very comfortable furniture and awesome wall photos of freighters that I assume were shot from the yard. Thankfully a well appointed kitchen with everything I needed. Both regular and decaf coffee was provided, along with tea and creamer, and a welcome bottle of wine. Plenty of linens and laundry soap too. Great to have a washer & dryer to use! Marc was very easy to communicate with. We will definitely be staying here again!

Pefect location

Loved the view and it was a perfect location for a quick getaway. Size of apartment was great with all the amenities. Would stay again if traveling in the area.

This is our 3rd (maybe 4th) stay at Riverside Retreat. If you want to view the freighters and/or enjoy the peace of the river, this is the place to do it! Location is perfect for checking out other things to see and do in the area. Very comfortable. Hope to be back in 2026!

The location is awesome. Lake freighters, cruise boats, etc, travel past going up bound and down bound. The living room windows offer full view. The upstairs bedroom is as charming as it can be. The location also allows for quick access to Soo shopping and tourist attractions. Love this place!

This home was great, it had everything our family of 5 could need. The view is amazing, and to be able to watch freighters that we see at our house all the way up here was awesome. Highly recommend taking the kayaks out and exploring, especially when you have a a boat coming in. There is a small beach/sand area at the bottom of the steps by the water and it is shallow pretty far out which was great for the kids. Sauna was a pleasant bonus, you can watch the ships from there. Location is great, quiet road and you’re about 7-10 mins from town that has everything you could need. Lots to do in this town! Highly recommend this place. I have been coming to the U.P. my whole life but never stayed in Sault Ste. Marie, and it is a beautiful town with so much history.

Check in was very easy. Really enjoyed our stay. Hopefully we will be back next year. Kitchen garbage was not removed from previous renter. No big deal we took care of it. Stove top was not cleaned, but we didn’t use the stove. Will definitely come back

Riverside Retreat

Great location. Loved watching the freighters go by. Inside was clean. The patio and the patio furniture needed to be cleaned. The cushions had debris on them. Stayed 2 nights. The second night the neighbor/possibly owner had loud music and could hear a yelling argument going on.

A cozy retreat!

We felt right at home the moment we walked in. The riverside retreat was truly a retreat! Marc is a great hist! We also all slept very well which hardly happens when we’re away. I highly recommend!

Relaxing on the river

Another great time on the river. Love the comfy patio setup to read out on & watch the freighters. The fire feature is fun to use at night. Will be back again.

Beautiful Guest House in Sault St Marie

The house is immaculate and equipped with everything you need or want. It is beautifully decorated. The beds and bedding are luxurious. The property is amazing. We spent a lot of time on the swing by the St Mary’s River watching freighters cruise ships and all kinds of pleasure boats and jet ski. I enjoyed watching the ducks and birds. Definitely 5 stars!!
