Burnet trip

Property was clean, well stocked. Game room in garage was awesome! Nice to be able to walk to dock and relax. Neighborhood was very quiet.

Highly recommended!!!!

The house is very clean, organized and nice decorated. Great open-concept kitchen area. It has a great dock. Kayak, canoe and paddle boards were available to use however the cold weather did not let us enjoy that! Definitely planing to go back during the summer.

Perfect lake house and excellent host!

This property is a dream house! It has absolutely everything needed to have the perfect vacation and its location next to the lake is awesome! Outdoor games, kayaks, indoor games, extra towels and blankets, kitchen utensils, coffee bar, you name it, whatever we needed, everything was provided, which made our stay the most relaxing and enjoyable one! And on top of that, the host, Trish, was outstanding! She was the best at communicating and her property, super clean and tidy, speaks volumes about how well organized and a great host she is! Would absolutely love to come back!

Treasured Memories

This is a spectacular property! I looked at LOTS of listings, before we picked this one. It was everything we were looking for... lakeside, great water access, fun activities, superb views, very spacious and clean. The house has been beautifully remodeled and decorated. It is so spacious and we loved the openness for hanging out together. We truly enjoyed cooking and gathering in the amazingly well-equipped kitchen. The lake views from the entire backside of the house are amazing! You can tell that this property was put together with great care. They literally thought of everything to make for a wonderful and comfortable guest experience. Also, the owners were very responsive and great to work with. Lots of fun memories made here... boating, paddle-boarding, fishing, sliding, swinging, chillin' in the hammock, game/movie nights, playing ping-pong, feeding the ducks, and making s'mores by the fire. Our family and guests genuinely had the BEST time here. Everyone loved it and talked about how fun it would be to make it an annual event. It's definitely on our "Return To" list!

Perfect!

We had an amazing time at Whitetail Cove! We had tons of stuff planned every day, but we loved the house and the property so much, we decided to cancel an entire day of planned activities to hang out and chill and play in the lake! Our plans changed last minute to include some updates in visitors throughout our stay and the owners were incredibly accommodating! Messaging with Trish to go over final details and for check-in questions was a breeze and she had tons of awesome advice on what to bring and what to do! As with all of our vacations, we had a few minor catastrophes and all I can say is thank goodness for the kindest and sweetest hosts ever - it was a true pleasure meeting part of your wonderful family! The boat rental they offer to people staying on property can't be beat...definitely take them up on it! Sleeping arrangements were comfy and the decor was perfect! When you open the front door, you will be stunned as you look straight through the house and the sliding glass doors right out onto the lake. We practically felt like we had the lake all to ourselves! Many firsts were experienced here - our little boy kayaking by himself, my nephew catching a fish, my paddleboarding, my hubby and oldest nephew capsizing kayaks, and boating to a beautiful waterfall! My daughter will always remember her Sweet 16 trip to the Hill Country, much thanks to the gracious and sweet owners of Whitetail Cove!!!

Beautiful get away

The home was as advertised. When we walked in the door to the patio drew every one of us. Quiet, relaxing and a great place to retreat. Would definitely come back.

The best vacation home stay ever in 5 years

I've traveled a lot with families and friends together. We stay at hotels but always prefer vacation homes for the convenience of cooking and having shared space for kids to play without leaving our sight. This is THE BEST house I've ever stayed in 5 years. Great location by the lake, beautiful decorations, most importantly, everything is high quality and not just appears pretty on pictures. The owner is so thoughtful that basically everything you need for a family trip is available. It has ping-pong table, kayaks, grills, huge and modern kitchen, huge living space, lots of beds and 3 showers. The house has more to offer than what you see on the listing. We already decided that we will come back soon. Thank you Trisha for hosting us

Great home and location

The house is very nice and much more than we expected. So many amenities. We enjoyed the paddle boards, the kayak, barbecue grill and the fire pit The house is located near so many activities within 30 minutes or so. We rented jet skis and explored lake LBJ. We also drove to Colorado Bend State Park. It was a great three day weekend.

Great family getaway

the entire family enjoyed their stay there. Plenty of space and the pier was perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. Fishing wasn't to bad. We wished we could have rented a boat though but that wasn't the owners fault otherwise it was a great and relaxing time.

Clean, modern, comfortable, with excellent views. The only thing that was disappointing is this place is not conducive to night fishing. Make note, if you want to fish at night, there is no lighting at night. The descriptions do not mention night fishing, so do not assume like us that you can fish at night. Otherwise, it was a relaxing stay.

PEACEFUL & LOVELY

This house has been totally updated and looks exactly like its pictures on VRBO. The views of the lake and access to just walk right up to the water and the dock was exactly what we were looking for. We spent most of our time outside except when eating and the nightly firepit and chairs right at the water's edge was a great way to spend the evenings. This was our annual Father's Day Trip (a week early) and was enjoyed by all. Very easy to locate also!!!

Great Family Lake House Getaway

This lake house vacation rental was perfect for our family of six! There is everything you need at this home, including an optional boat rental to cruise around the lake. Home was clean, stocked with the essentials, and comfortable. Our kids had fun fishing off the dock, swimming in the lake, playing on the slide, and the ping pong table was a bonus! We would highly recommend, and we plan on staying there again in the future!

Wonderful lake house getaway

The property is wonderful. Everything has been updated in the house. As a previous review stated the kitchen has everything which is not always the case with a vacation rental. Pots, pans, spices, utensils, bbq utensils, etc. I don't think you'll find anything lacking in the kitchen for sure. Had a great time and would rent the property again in the future.

Fun in the Sun

What a wonderful place to relax and have fun. Plenty of entertainment for all. From sliding into the lake, kayaking, paddle boarding and much more. Plenty of room inside the house as well, very nice. We will definitely come again.

Best VRBO we have ever stayed in

You know how it is with VRBO properties, right? There's always something that isn't quite right, and usually it is more than one thing....maybe there are no knives for you to cut your steak with, and usually there is no grill to cook a steak on anyway. The beds might might not be comfy, or maybe there's not enough towels. And how about when the place looks nothing like the pictures online? WELL NONE OF THAT APPLIES here! This the THE best VRBO property we have ever stayed in. I really wonder if I want to leave such a glowing review, because then everyone will want to stay here and it will always be booked when I want to come back. Trish's property is fabulous in every way. The house is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you would need, especially in the kitchen. We cooked full meals for 4 adults and seven 18 yr olds. And that kitchen had everything I needed AND it had sharp knives AND there is a gas grill/smoker combo. All new appliances. Every drawer and cabinet is labeled so we could find everything (and trust me, there was lots to find!) The beds were great. The bathrooms were spacious. We had plenty of towels and pillows. The water toys..... No one was bored, or if they were, it was their own fault. 4 kayaks, a canoe, 2 stand-up paddle boards, large floats for the water, a slide off the dock..... What more could we want? Tons of outdoor seating on the patio and around the firepit and on the dock itself. Everywhere you turn, there is a spot to sit and relax and enjoy the lake view. And what a view! Sunsets to die for. The home and all its furnishings were so great, I wish I could live there. And I want Trish there to enjoy it all with. She was a great hostess with excellent communication throughout our stay. We all can't wait to come back. I just hope the weekend(s) I want won't be booked up. I'm sure they will be! Reserve it now, while her calendar is still open.

Whitetail Cove was a great getaway place for four old friends to meet!

We four girlfriends thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful house and fabulous kitchen. Lake views are great and our afternoon happy hour out on the covered pier was so much fun. No water sports for us, but some of our younger family members may join us next time. Wonderful considerate host.

It's hard to put into words why you should choose this property.
-First and foremost, beauty. It's just so beautiful at Whitetail Cove. The lake, the house, the gorgeous Hill Country...it's all a feast for the senses.
-This property is in a prime location. The cove itself is quiet and being in a cove gives you protection from boaters. The property itself is ideally located due to the proximity to other attractions. Just north of us 3 miles is Canyon of the Eagles. They have hiking trails, a star-gazing observatory, and a restaurant with great views. Just a bit farther is Vanishing Texas River Cruises which can take you to see the Bald Eagles and the beautiful falls on the Colorado River, it has become an icon in nature tourism in the State of Texas. Around the corner from the property is a gas station and convenience store which is so convenient, and also just around the corner is a boat launch at Burnet County Park. The most recent and very exciting attraction just opened in 2019 and is 10 minutes south of us- the new Spider Mountain Bike Park. SO.MUCH.FUN!
-There's plenty to do on property. Between the ping pong table, the long pier for fishing, the kayaks, paddle boards, and canoe, you won't ever run out of things to do. On the contrary, you'll wish you'd booked yourself a longer stay.
-We have great Wifi which a lot of properties in this area do not have.
-Plenty of space to park your boat and vehicles.
-mature, beautiful trees cover the back yard which provides ample shade for your enjoyment. Pecan & 2 types of Pear trees are also on property!
-The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. We leave plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, dish detergent, and laundry detergent...all the things that most rentals don't seem to supply enough of-at least the ones we've stayed at.
