La casa es un auténtico dammuso antiguo que también se informa en el libro de historia de la isla. Las paredes de más de un metro de grosor hacen que este dammuso se enfríe también en los veranos calurosos y secos, por lo que no necesita aire acondicionado. La propiedad está compuesta por 2 dammusos, el más grande está equipado con 2 camas queen size y el más pequeño con solo una cama queen. El dammuso principal también tiene un patio exterior y un hermoso baño con una vista impresionante. La obra maestra de la propiedad es la carpa del viñedo, una auténtica carpa militar colocada en una terraza en el medio del viñedo con una cama king size y un cómodo patio exterior con 2 sillas de playa. Tener la oportunidad de dormir aquí es una experiencia única, rodeada de uvas, la vista del océano, la montaña que te atrapa, una verdadera experiencia única en la vida.
La terraza, de casi 120 metros cuadrados, es realmente el lugar donde pasa la mayor parte del día relajándose, cocinando en la barbacoa, observando el océano turquesa a solo unos metros debajo de usted desde las comodidades de las hamacas y sofás. El solarium sobre el dammuso es el lugar perfecto para tomar el sol en total paz y privacidad.

A secret paradise

Staying at Dommaso dei Turchi was probably my favorite holiday ever. A holiday where time fades away, letting the horizon taking you out of bed and rhythming your day, from the first bath to the last. A holiday that is both simple and sophisticated, where every detail counts yet doesn't matter anymore. A paradise made true by Angela, who turned this place into a true destination of its own by being such an incredible host. Beyond her cooking that rivals the best tables of Sicily (my words can't make as much justice as my girlfriend's pictures), Angela made us feel like family. I hope we made such guests, and I wish I could speak more than 3 words in Spanish and barely 2 in Italian! Grazie (1) Mille (2) Angela and I wish I get my Pantelleria passport sometime soon to come back! <3

Heaven on Pantelleria

Staying at Il Dammuso dei Turchi is like living in a dream. Everything is perfect, and it is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. The property itself is incredible, including the amazing glamping experience in the vineyards, where the millions of stars shine so brightly over your head and the sound of the sea is just footsteps away. The king-sized bed in the tent is so fluffy and welcoming, it calls you to sleep every night after a beautiful and relaxing day on the island. The ancient dammuso is also a gem, and it was a delight to spend some nights enjoying the peacefulness of sleeping in a volcanic stone house that was built in the 1800s. Angela, the owner and our host on the property was an angel. She made sure to take care of everything we could possibly need, and went above and beyond to make our trip the best holiday we have ever experienced. Her cooking is divine and rivals some of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of dining at all over the world. She uses local ingredients and everything is made fresh each day. I have never been pampered and taken care of as much as at Dammuso dei Turchi. The grotto, just footsteps away, is a protected UNESCO heritage site, and the waters and snorkeling are amazing! So many fish and such a refreshing and relaxing swim. I loved our holiday at Dammuso dei Turchi and have fallen in love with the property, Pantelleria and the entire family at Dammuso dei Turchi (Angela, Tommasso and Roberta!). We will definitely be back and can't wait!!

Extraordinary glamping experience in sicily!!!

I stayed her for a week in June with some friends and our kids. We were all in all 6 people which was perfect. We flew from Copenhagen and had a night in Venice before flying to Pantelleria next morning. We did not know what to expect but were completely blown away. The property is so amazing and leaves you speechless - the photos just not even come close to reality...the view, the terrace, the cove with the crystal clear waters etc - but the real gem was the tent in the vineyard that the owner leaves out over the summer. To sleep there with my 2 kids was an experience that will never be forgotten. It is a tent - but you feel like you are in a super suite of a Four Season Hotel. Huge king size bed, sofa and so romantic lighting with two candles chandeliers! On top of that in the middle of the vineyard - chic is such a poor word to explain and get the feeling of this. It HAS to be experienced. We hired Angela for cooking some days. She does not speak English but with google translate and our little Italian knowledge it worked out perfect. She cooks regional Italian food - home cooked meals and as I always love to tell a cook to surprise me with something extraordinary - she even got us fresh sea urchins and cooked an unforgettable pasta for us. Angela is an incredible host, cook and she made our vacation just that little bit better that you always look for when you go on vacation....local, charming sweet and so friendly. She even babysat for our kids one night (9,7,6) "THANK YOU Angela - Vediamo la prossima estate!!!" This place makes you feel like you are in a private hotel - the service by Angela, the amenities, beach bag provided, swimming equipment and I can go on and on. We did find out that the owner of the villa owns a 5 star hotel on the Caribbean coast of Mexico which shines through with nothing missing at all. You want to have a carefree vacation...feel like royalty...sleep like a sheik...and smile all day like a rock-star - this is where you go next time on vacation....!!!

Dammuso Dei Turchi

The Dammuso Dei Turchi is a beautiful gem which I highly recommend for 2-4 persons. I hired it for 3 weeks on a self catering basis with an additional option /possibility for the wonderful chef Angela who will introduce you to the marvels of Pantesco , Sicilian and Italian/Caribian cooking. Angela looked after me before my children arrived, and I was pampered and looked after in every way, and I managed to relax and enjoy the wonderful Pantelleria on every level. The Grotte for swimming is magic , just some steps down from the house, which attracts diving lovers looking for sea urchins, snails and shells on a daily basis. If quiet in the evening you can hear the dolphins swimming in the grotte making them heard all the way up to the Dammuso Dei Turchi. I will absolutely come back any time! Magic!

The Dammuso Dei Turchi is a gem on the my favorite hotspot for holiday Pantelleria. The Dammuso dates from late 1800 and even in the extreme heat during the day, the Dammuso rooms are cool at night. I rented the property for 3 weeks, having 10 days for myself before my children arrived. I had the chance to have Angela the keeper/chef to pamper me with the most delicate Pantesco, Sicily, Italian/Carribien dishes that gave me lots of time to explore the island in my rental car every day. Must sees are Balete dei Turchi, Gadir and Cale Levante, all on the same side as Martignana. The grotte for swimming with rocks is very close by, and local divers use this area to gather sea urchins, snails and clams. The Dammuso is a beautiful romantic setting for holidays to remember, and I will return again for sure. In the evening if quiet you might be lucky to hear the dolphins visit with their singing during your aperitivo on the terrasse. Make sure to bring all you need the island is shop free, but for wine, Passeto and food you will be in heaven ! Best regards, Elisabeth Margrethe Giertsen Halle Oslo, Norway

A perfect getaway

We were a group of close friends who have made it a tradition to a trip together once every two years for the last 12 years. Each reunion, one of us gets to choose the spot, this year it was my turn to choose. It has always been my dream to spend some time in this part of Italy with my dear friends, Dammuso´s style and simplicity caught my attention. Boy, was I a big hit with my friends, we all fell in love with Dammuso. As soon as we walked through the door we all were speechless. The love and attention that Roberta and her family put into making this home a simple paradise is obvious. Every detail around the house so well thought of...simple, comfortable, chic and the view from all around the house is simply priceless. Special thanks to Angela who took such great care of all of us. She was always available but never intrusive. Next person to choose is my boyfriend, and he already told me that he will choose Dammuso for our next reunion!!!

because Martingana and this property is inside the protected natural reserve of Pantelleria, so no development is and will be alloud here or any sorts of new constructions. Our dammuso is one of the ancient properties mentioned in the books of the island.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

what actually made me fall in love with this property is the location, the outside space , the amazing turquoise cove just below the terrace.Always calm waters. And the fact that all electronic devices on this part of the Island don't work.Time here is only to be shared with your family or friends and nature . if you need to get in contact with the outside world you just need to walk up to the main road and there you will find again the phone signal.Need wi fi, a 5 minutes drive and you have the bar and wi-fi spots.
