Mount Pleasant Stay

Everything was very nice. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was close to Highway 17, so we were able to find restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. quickly. The host provided many amenities. We were very pleased.first aid supplies, etc.

Mt. Pleasant 3 bedroom home

Overall, the house was fine. It was in a decent neighborhood and very close to restaurants and a grocery store. We did have a few issues. The mattress in the main bedroom was very, very firm. We ended up sleeping on the mattress in another room which was somewhat softer. We like to cook some while we are on vacation and we could have used a larger variety of pots and pans. The main bedroom's bathroom had been renovated which was nice, but the shower never got beyond warm no matter how long it ran. We had to use the hallway shower which got plenty hot. Regardless, we really enjoyed our visit to Mt. Pleasant and Charleston.

Great location and spacious

We decided on Charleston for a summer vacation and wanted a house where the kids could have space to run around and play. This place was perfect for us. The location is great between Charleston and the Isle of Palms. Has a great backyard and 3 spacious rooms.

Mt Pleasant VRBO

The property was accurately described, very clean and I was impressed with how well stocked the supplies were. (Trash bags, laundry detergent, toilet paper) The house is not fancy or up to date in its decor but my favorite thing about the property was the location because we were very close to Sullivans Island and getting to Charleston and the other islands was not a long distance but we didn’t pay the price tag of staying in Charleston.

Fantastic location

Went for the bridge run and was able to walk to the starting line, a lot of room and huge backyard and nice neighborhood.

Perfect for our weekend

We had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay in Mount Pleasant. Joseph was super helpful with any questions we had, and made us feel at home. The house was spacious, we enjoyed sitting outside as well, and the private 'cabana'. Everything we wanted to do was a short trip away: the beach, downtown Charleston, the bridge run, Mt Pleasant dining and shopping. Definitely looking forward to the location if we decide to go back in the spring for the race!

Expected Better

After arriving on property entrance was an easy access. Grass was very high. Gazebo was surrounded or taken over by grass and tree limbs. Thought the kids could play in the back yard while we sit on the patio furniture, but grass was too high and then we saw a snake in the grass. Hedges needed trimming. The chain inside the guess bathroom commode tank kept coming off and had to be put back on after flushing. The left sink in the master bathroom ran cold water. No tv in master bedroom or 2nd bedroom. Bought insect spray for insects and spiderwebs at windows. We never went back out the back door after seeing the sign that said to go out at your own risk.

Close to everything

We had a great stay at this place. It was clean and everything was provided. The host (Joseph) was very friendly and was willing to provide any help required. He helped us find a great kayak rental agency which had equipment available just with a few hours notice. He also provided a guide book with places to eat and visit. The property is close to 3 great beaches, Shem Creek, Patriots Point, Mt. Pleasant pier for fishing. It's just 15 mins drive to the Charleston Waterfront Wharf. Nice neighborhood with a backyard to relax in the evenings. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean place and a convenient location.

Great location, well stocked home and knowledgeable host regarding local attractions.

The home was in a wonderful location, near local beaches and only minutes to downtown Charleston. The neighborhood had a great Independence Day festival and fireworks with a small golf cart parade, each decorated for the 4th. The home had everything you may need from cookware to laundry detergent/softener and shampoo/conditioner. Many VRBO homes only have stock to get you through the first day, so I was surprised it was well stocked for the entire week with soap, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, etc. Our host was sure to send us recommendations on ideas for local attractions and weather updates throughout our stay. The AC continued to automatically go to a temperature we had not set it on so when we would leave and come back, much warmer than we liked. We didn't bother the host with this but it may be something to mention on future stays so the thermostat can be programmed correctly. Aside from the AC, the master bed was hard and uncomfortable but some people may like it that way. Also, there was not a TV in two of the three bedrooms. These were minimal issues but worth the mention for the host as suggestions. Our checkout was at 11am and at 11:05 when we were pulling out of the driveway, our host messaged us that the cleaner was waiting in their car on the street to pull in and clean for the next check-in which was at 3pm. So, be sure you leave at 11am folks, lol! Overall, we had a great stay and I would recommend this property.

50th Birthday getaway

We booked this house last minute since our OXB cancelled on us last minute. House was nice and in a perfect location- we stayed 5 nights- centrally located to see all beaches, Boone Plantation and downtown Charleston . Will book again.

Great Location, Away from the Hustle and Bustle

Joe is a stellar host. His communication is second to none. The house had everything we needed. With a fenced in back yard so our kids could run wild. This place is close to everything you would want to see in Charleston. Very clean and we'll stocked for anything you may need. You cannot beat it for the price. Thank you Joe!

Perfect Location

We were looking for a location that was in the middle of the places we wanted to visit, and this house was perfect. It is a quiet neighborhood and we were not bothered with any noise. The house is quaint and well kept, with obviously upgrades. Joseph from the very beginning of our reservation communicated with us about the home and the process. We had no issues during our stay, but Joseph did check in to make sure we were doing ok. The home is roomy with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, as well as a large living room, dining area, and kitchen. There were many small necessities available from soaps, shampoo, first aide items, and even assorted foods. We do like to cook while we vacation and found the kitchen was adequate for the meals we wanted to prepare. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here if when/if I return to the area.

Awesome vacation house

This house is in a fantastic area, a 5 to 10 minute drive from all Charleston has to offer. Easy access for check in and check out with the lock code for the front door. Joseph is a great host who will answer any questions you may have.
