UBICACIÓN PERFECTA - CASA DE LUJO - VISTA IMPRESIONANTE - TINA CALIENTE

Este nuevo y maravilloso Cottage de lujo está situado en Hvalfjordur (Whale Bay), la bahía más hermosa de Islandia. Es una de las bahías más prístinos con rodea la montaña hermosa, con acantilados que caen directamente en la bahía y algunas playas. A sólo 30 min. conducir a Reykjavik para que pueda disfrutar de la ciudad en vivo y la naturaleza de Islandia, al mismo tiempo.

La cabaña cuenta con dos historias. En la primera planta hay dos dormitorios, una cocina totalmente equipada, salón y baño. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama king size y el segundo dormitorio tiene una cama queen size. El patio tiene una magnífica vista con vistas a la bahía y las montañas. El tercer dormitorio se encuentra en el segundo piso y tiene dos camas individuales grandes. También en el segundo piso está la sala de televisión con un montón de DVD'sy y episodios de televisión. También hay un balcón en el segundo piso con una vista impresionante con vistas al mar y las montañas. Bonito patio exterior con muebles de jardín y jacuzzi.

La bahía Hvalfjordur tiene mucho que ver y explorar. La cascada Glymur es la cascada más alta de Islandia y se encuentra en el fondo de la bahía. Explorar lugares históricos y ruinas de WW2 o tomar una caminata pausada a lo largo de una de las muchas rutas de senderismo en esta zona impresionante.

Excelente turismo en los alrededores se puede hacer fácilmente con excursiones de un día a lo siguiente:

Spitzenaufenthalt bei bei tollen Gastgebern in einem fantastischen Haus!Wir verbrachten 5 Nächte über Silvester bei Jakob und Elsa und das Haus war perfekt für einen entspannten und gemütlichen Familienurlaub. Die Lage ist perfekt mit wunderschönen Ausblicken über den Fjord und und ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um den Westen Islands zu erkunden. Das Haus ist top und sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und die Kommunikation mit Jakob und Elsa war sehr gut, super hilfsbereit und haben uns bei Fragen schnell helfen können. Trotz durchwachsenem Wetter haben wir den schönen Hot Tub ausgiebig genutzt und zum Neuen Jahr haben sich auch endlich die Nordlichter gezeigt. Es hätte keinen besseren Start in das neue Jahr geben können.Alles in allem ein ganz toller Aufenthalt in einem super Haus bei tollen Gastgebern. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen!

Wunderschön gelegenes Ferienhaus am Fjord mit einmaligem Ausblick. Vom Hot Pot aus konnten wir Anfang Oktober mehrmals die Nordlichter beobachten. Das Haus war absolut sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

This home was beautifully and perfectly appointed! They left nothing out! I would stay here again. We had great views of the Northern lights multiple times and the location was great too.

We had a beautiful stay at the cottage with friends. The scenery is beautiful that you could stay the whole time but it is not too far out of the way to drive to other locations to explore. There is a cleaning list but nothing extensive. It was obvious the people who stayed before us didn’t listen to the rules of not leaving food behind because we did find opened ice cream bars in the freezer when we arrived.

Private, peaceful, wonderful

We stayed at this home for 5 nights and it was absolutely wonderful. The location is just far enough from Reykjavik and surrounds to feel more private and remote, without feeling too far away from any of it. The views of the fjord and the surrounds is spectacular. The home is even more impressive than the pictures. There is so much more to share about this amqzing house and we highly recommend it to anyone.

Perfect Accomodation

This property is a dream! The views are incredible, even when it’s cloudy. It’s peaceful and offers the right amount of privacy. Plenty of room for a family of 4. The house had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Check-in and check-out were simple and the location is easy to find. It’s a great spot to stay to explore this side of Iceland. An easy drive to Reykjavik and beautiful scenic routes to Akranes and other destinations. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our trip!

Fantastic view

This property was perfect for our family of 4. It was so relaxing and the views were absolutely beautiful. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to cook at home. We had an amazing time in Iceland and having this house to come home to after a day of exploring was fantastic. You will absolutely need an all wheel vehicle to get there since the road leading to the house is not paved and has big potholes. Also, you will need to plan your trips to the grocery store and gas station since the house is not near any. The last thing I need to mention is give yourself time on the last day to get all the cleaning and laundry done. I would have loved to have been given the option of paying a fee vs cleaning ourselves. It was a little stressful on the day we are trying to get to the airport which is 1 hr and 20 mins away from house. So definitely plan accordingly.

Amazing property. Really enjoyed staying there and would definitely recommend and/or stay again if the occasion arose.Yes, it is remote and requires car hire from there to see the sights but it was exactly what we wanted. Using the hot tub overlooking the water with that amazing view! Bucket list items ticked!!

Perfect getaway

This property was perfect for my husband and I. We saw the northern lights from the deck 2 out of the 6 nights we stayed. The kitchen was stocked with coffee pods and spices. Figuring out how to regulate the temp in the hot tub took a day, but we learned how long to leave the lid off to acheuve the perfect twmp.

More than expected

The property is beautiful and very well kept. All items you could need for the trip are there. The homeowners respond quickly and their love for the property clearly shows. It by far exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend staying here.

Great holiday in Iceland and a fabulous house to stay in. Well equipped, excellent communications from the owner. Great to have the space to relax and hang out in the hot tub to see the Northern Lights on a cold night!

Alles top! Zu bemängeln haben wir nur dass der Abfluss im Bad überlief, die Klinke der Schlafzimmertür und das Licht im Bachofen kaputt waren. Etwas nervig fanden wir die nahegelegenen Baustellen und die Dauerbeleuchtung einiger, zum Teil unbewohnter, Nachbarhäuser. Die gegegenüberliegende Hafenanlage störte etwas die ansonsten großartige Idylle und Atmosphäre.

Peaceful Retreat

This is an amazing property, even better than in photos. Don't let the distance from Reykjavik deter you -- the drive to and from is breathtaking and if you are seeking a serene getaway then this is it.

Perfect in every way!

There is a feeling you get once you walk in that sets the stage for your time in this cottage~ I can describe it as an exhale. We appreciated the attention to details in the communication from the owners. We stopped at a grocery along the way from the airport and cooked our meals. The kitchen had all that we needed to do this. The location was perfect for us as we ventured out each day to go exploring. Once back to the cottage we SO enjoyed the views of the fjord and amazing sunsets from all rooms! We gave ourselves time on the evening before we left to clean as requested and it was not that big of a deal… in fact you feel good cleaning knowing it will be for the next person coming to have a beautiful experience there. We hope to visit Iceland again and would absolutely book this cottage again!

Amazing House Despite CheckOut Chore List

First as other have mentioned the checkout chore list is quite extensive for those who are used to staying at properties where full professional cleaning is added in, especially if you have an early departing flight - which we did. HOWEVER, with some planning it’s easy to accommodate. We just packed disposable camping towels for our departure morning since the towels take about 4 hours to completely wash and dry and we had to head to the airport at 5am (but having access to a washer and dryer was well worth the added chore and allowed us to travel very light). Then we did the majority of the cleaning the night before - vacuumed and mopped right before we walked out the door. No big deal. Please, please do not let this deter you from renting this property - it’s perfect! The hot tub on the bay was incredible - we got several rainbows and rainbow cloud viewings, the sulfur smell from the geo thermal wasn’t bad at all - we used the hot tub every night after hiking all day. The location is perfect as well to adventure north or south and the hot springs at the end of the bay are amazing and very well priced and far less crowded than the mainstream ones. The king bed was beyond comfortable and the kitchen had everything (and more) to cook delicious meals. The Nespresso machine provided the perfect cup of coffee to match the morning views.

Before we arrived we received instructions on entering property, along with directions for hot tub, WiFi, etc. When we arrived, we were very pleased that the description of the property was accurate, even exceeding our expectations. We stayed end of April 2024. We knew we were at the end of season for the Aurora borealis, but were still hoping. On the third night the skies cleared, but no luck. The fourth night, clear skies again, very cold and windy, but kept checking, and they appeared for close to an hour long show. Again the next night while in the hot tub, she put on an amazing show, even able to see the colors with the naked eye, what a treat. The hot tub was wonderful, instructions to fill the tub were clear and easy to follow. So nice to sit in the natural hot spring water. Great views from the tub, and the glass surrounding the tub area really helped quell even the gustiest winds. The kitchen was very well appointed. Well stocked with dishes, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans. Everything you could need for any meal small or large. The Nespresso machine was a godsend. The tap water is as good as any spring water you could buy. Having a washer and dryer in the cabin came in handy. The bedrooms were as stated, cozy with comfortable beds. Didn't use TV, but noticed large selection of DVDs. The location was great, about 40 mins from the city, close enough for groceries, or a day on the town. Great for exploring the island, so much to see near and far. Excellent!!

Great Place to Stay

Icelandic Retreat

Hot tub, Hvammsvik Hot Springs and just 30 mins from Thingvellir National Park and start of the Golden Circle. Easy drive to Reykjavik. Majestic vista of the fjord. Completely lived up to our expectations!
