Unit was very comfortable. Our ages prevented us from complete comfort in terms of getting up and down to lower floor. There were 3 options for accessing the lower floor so folks younger than us would be completely satisfied, I'm sure. Separate bath and bedroom spaces were complete and comfortable. Kitchen had great coffee service. Clients would need to come with own passwords, etc. to access ESPN. I did not bring that information.

Unique House in Quiet Neighborhood

Property was as advertised in the listing. Property owner was very responsive to any needs. The house was well stocked - from snacks to personal items to kitchen supplies. All instructions for using the amenities were well posted and easy to understand and follow. Would certainly stay there agian.

Winter Trip

The house was great, perfect location with a wonderful backyard for kids. The property owner was very warm and receptive. She reached out several times prior to the trip to offer suggestions and provide additional information about the house. Would definitely stay here again. Plus there are deer everywhere!

Great house, great location.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was super clean, beds were great, as was everything else as described in the listing. Very convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone, and Blue Ridge Parkway. A great place as a base to explore the area, I would stay there again if visiting NC.

Peaceful Stay

This rental was all that was advertised and more. Very easy to load and unload your car, no steps to climb. Cleanest house ever. Well stocked kitchen. The fire pit was perfect for morning coffee as well as evening wind down. Very close to downtown Blowing Rock but very quiet and peaceful. Deer are in the area, we saw them almost every day. The book shelf was filled with so many good books, something for everyone. Not nearly enough time to flip thru all the interesting ones. We will definitely check availability at this one on our next trip to Blowing Rock. Thank you Nancy for a really nice stay.

This was a great little house up in the mountains and my family had a great time staying there. Communication with the owner Nancy was awesome. Would highly recommend.

Very Nice Getaway

We had a very pleasant stay at this cute bungalow near Blowing Rock and Boone. It was clean and well-stocked and very convenient to the areas we would be spending time in over the weekend. Our communication with the owner was efficient and timely. We enjoyed our time here very much!

second time stay

This is the second time I have chosen Nancy's place to stay, it's just that good! The house had some minor improvements since the last time I stayed. Love that the kitchen is stocked with everything you would need to cook and the yard is perfect for pets or sitting out and enjoying the view/weather.

Great for Kids and Pet!

This cabin was the absolute cutest and perfect spot for our family that includes 2 young kids and a dog. The layout is great and gave the kids their own space on the bottom level. All the amenities and essentials we needed. Decorated and furnished to be so cozy. We enjoyed the quiet area, close to the golf course, outlets, downtown. We will be looking to stay here again!

Mountain getaway

My young kids and husband took a weekend trip to the mountains, and this property was perfect! It had a great Mountain View, when the fog finally cleared, and was the best Location to anything we needed. The kids loved the spiral staircase, and the house had everything we needed! We will definitely be back to this home in the future!

Lovely home and great location!

We loved our stay at the Blowing Rock Bungalow and would definitely book it again. Located in a lovely neighborhood and close to in-town shopping and restaurants as well as the Blowing Rock landmark. Lots of nice updates and our accommodations were excellent. Easy check in/out. The only negative (and it's a small one) is the lack of a dishwasher. It wasn't a problem since there were only four of us, but might be an issue with a group of six. We used disposable plates and cutlery, and everyone pitched in with kitchen clean up, as we did quite a bit of cooking. Easy morning breakfasts, lunches out during the day, and dinners at home followed by movies and board games. A fun, relaxing weekend for all of us. Thank you for the lovely accommodations, Nancy, and we look forward to another stay in the near future!

Blowing Rock and Boone Weekend

We met our adult daughter and son-in-law in Blowing Rock for the weekend to visit our Grandson, who has just started App State. We found this property to be well located and lovely. The setting and view over the back yard were so nice and private, yet in a neighborhood. The home was comfortable and cozy, well stocked, and exceptionally clean. The owner was wonderful and easy to communicate with; she made our stay a pleasure. I would definitely recommend this home in Blowing Rock!

Excellent location, beautiful accommodations. Would have been helpful to list the no shoes policy as my elderly family with orthotics were uncomfortable without proper support. Really enjoyed our stay overall. Thank you.

Great location and beautiful big yard

Very kind and flexible owner who offered us early check in and late check out. House is not fancy and is small. No dishwasher or drying rack so clean up is a bit tough. Good for 2 people but tough for a larger group.

Hi, and thank you for reading this profile! I am a retired NC special educator with 4 grown children, ages 30-37. After living in IN, TN, KY, MO, and RI myself and my 4 children have settled in North Carolina. My husband and I live in the Charlotte area and I manage and clean the property myself each week. I employ a maintenance man to keep the property in the best condition possible. I love my octangular shaped home with the large floor to ceiling windows that look out onto Grandfather Mountain and I love to share it with others too!

I enjoy bringing joy to others by providing a home in which you can create memories and develop relationships in a setting that is conducive to outdoor activities; from sledding and skiing in the winter to hiking and just relaxing in the Adirondack chairs around the gas firepit or hammock during the other seasons. My home is situated on a half acre consisting of seasonally flowering plants and trees and a large grassy back yard. Inside you will find cozy and comfortable bedding and unique Bearfoot Bears throughout the home. Ceiling to floor bookshelves in the front room are filled with books for all ages. There's a hammock for the back deck and sleds for the gently sloping driveway on the side of the property located in the lower level. Games and puzzles are in the coffee table and TV stand. Spectrum streaming on the TVs provide national and local news as well as movies and series to watch.
