Genoten in het gedeelde appartement- gastheer Guy kookt voortreffelijk - skills als gepensioneerde Michelin ster chef zijn bewonderingswaardig en het ontbijt is super verzorgd - vanuit het appartement ideaal om dagtripjes te ondernemen naar Luxemburg Stad, Moesel en de vele burchten die in Luxemburg zijn. Guy weet veel over de omgeving en kan hier goed innadvisere .
Heerlijk plekje op het balkon om de dag te starten of af te sluiten
Veel bezienswaardigheden in het park

Guy nous a très bien accueillis, avec les bons conseils sur sa ville. L'appartement est très confortable, le fait de le partager ne fut pas un souci.

Appartement Luxemburg

Wij hebben geen goede ervaring gehad in het verblijf. Misschien lag het aan ons, maar wij dachten een volledige ruimte te huren zoals op de foto's is te ze. Helaas was dat niet het geval. De slaapkamer was voor ons, de rest was van de eigenaar, waar wij deels gebruik van konden maken. Tevens liep de eigenaar meestal niet volledig gekleed rond in huis, wat we niet echt gepast vonden. Helaas zijn wij na 2 ipv. 6 dagen vertrokken en hebben wat anders opgezocht.

Accommodatie met airco geboekt, deze mocht niet aan omdat het s,nachts buiten 17 gr was. We moesten de balkondeur maar open zetten. Binnen was het 25.5 gr. Er was een koelkast waar 2 flessen water in pasten, zo klein. Geen licht op balkon, dus als het donker is kun je niet meer buiten zitten. De eigenaar is heel de dag aanwezig, je hebt weinig privacy. Zwembad is een resort verderop in straat en kost € 47.- pppd. Na een nacht badend in het zweet, de volgende ochtend terug vertrokken naar huis. We hadden 6 dgn geboekt. Kregen echter geen geld terug. Ik begrijp niet dat dit recensies krijgt van 9 en 10 !

Regrettable stay

Unfortunately, our stay was far from what we hoped for. The owner, Guy was constantly around. There was no availability in the fridge for our own food. We could not use the livingroom as the owner was constantly there. We were asked to create our owb dinner early so he could use the kitchen for another gastronomic dinner. We thought we were the only one, but unfortunately there were other quests. The text on the website(s) is very misleading. So we stayed, when we were there, mainly at our sleepingroom. We did not book a hotel, because we felt an apartment would suit our holiday wishes better, but being there we better could have booked a hotel. The pictures with the swimmingpool are misleading, as the pool is from the spa close by. In the end there was no privacy and very expensive for the space you have.

Fantastic stay!

Had a wonderful stay at Guy’s apartment- it was clean, well decorated and Guy himself was very helpful and friendly, with lots of interesting stories about his time as a music promoter working with some of the biggest names in the industry. We had the meal option, and it was absolutely superb- we loved every part of the meal and the wine was also very good. If you’re staying here, we highly recommend you also book this, as it’s amazing value for money! Merci beaucoup, Guy!

Great accommodations

Guy was an excellent host. We stayed 2 nights and everything we needed was in our room. Very comfortable beds. I highly recommend the meal he served. We even had after dinner drinks. He sat down with us after the meal and got to know us better and shared some of his very interesting history. Definitely recommend!

Homestay with a retired chef, ooh la la!

Our host was every bit the entertainer and host. Our room was as advertised and the flat was lovely. But the pièce de resistance was Guy. A retired chef, we opted for the surprise summer menu. A tour de force of several delicious courses and perfectly accompanied wines. We also opted for the amazingly prepared breakfasts; both well worth the price he chargesd. Equally entertaining was the time he spent with us after the meal where he regaled us with stories of his second life, that of a concert promoter. The flat is but a few steps away from the thermal spa where we enjoyed a few hours on our last night to work out the kinks from hiking. Free buses, trams, and trains inside the Luxembourg border made it easy to visit Luxembourg City, Remich, and Grevenmacher. Mondorf-les-Bains is perfectly placed to get away from the tourist crowds of Luxembourg City.

Schöne Wohnung in toller Lage

Die Wohnung liegt zentral, aber sehr ruhig an der Therme. Vom Balkon am Zimmer hat man einen herrlichen Blick ins Grüne mit Abendsonne. Alles ist sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Guy war ein interessanter und hilfreicher Gastgeber. Sein Menü an unserem ersten Abend haben wir sehr entspannt genossen. Es war eine angenehme Erfahrung in diesem privaten Ambiente.

A short stay in Luxemburg

Extremely friendly host. We only staid for one night and got a delicious breakfast from Guy in the morning and had nice conversation with him. Unfortunately we missed the dinner! Maybe next time.

Alles was heel goed voor elkaar, goede uitleg, comfortabele kamer van alle luxe en gemakken voorzien. Heerlijk ontbijt gehad, echt een aanbeveling.

Sehr angenehmer und leckerer Aufenthalt

Die Unterkunft, das Zimmer, war exakt so wie vom Gastgeber Guy Weber beschrieben. Besonders hervoreben möchten wir Guys Gastfreundschaft und das von Ihm selbst gekochte und sehr leckere 4-Gänge Menü am Abend unserer Ankunft. Geschmacklich top und optisch ebenfalls sehr schön. Die dazu ausgewählten Weine passten hervorragend zum Essen. Besten Dank, dass wir morgens den Kaffe-Vollautomaten benutzen durften, wenn wir unser eigenes Frühstück zubereitet hatten. Am letzten Morgen haben wir uns dann durch von Guy zubereitetes Frühstück verwöhnen lassen. Gerne empfehlen wir die Unterkunft, besser gesagt den Gastgeber, weiter.

Wonderful!

The bedroom was nice and there was a bathroom for guests. Clean and accommodating. Guy is very nice and helpful. It is right outside of the Spa (which is also great). Cute town, we had some very nice meals and easy to get to the city by bus. Thank you Guy!
