Increíble lodge de 6 dormitorios y 3 baños, en el tranquilo lago Fishtrap. Capacidad para 14 personas. Enorme mesa de comedor, cubierta de 40 pies de ancho, con vista al lago. Corto paseo en bote hasta el bar de Wittig. Incluso puede tener la oportunidad de ver uno de los muchos ciervos albinos que viven en esta área. This home is exceptional: large and well designed. Our multigenerational family had just the right amount of space. The dining room table is massive and easily fit all nine of us. We spent days by the lake swimming, floating, kayaking, fishing, and paddle boarding. The dock with steps into the lake was great. The lake is beautiful and quiet. We spent evenings playing games or watching movies. Wi-Fi service worked well. Many people spent afternoons reading on the very large deck which felt like being in a tree house. The owner was very responsive and helpful when we had a question.

Pictures don’t do it justice

The place is very large and great for multigenerational family gatherings. If you have mobility impaired members, the upstairs bathroom may be challenging though as the tub/shower is really tall and there are a good number of steps down to the lake. Otherwise, the place is perfect. There was a nice downstairs family room and a large sunroom upstairs that weren’t shown in photos that were a great surprise. The dining table is huge and fit 12 people with room to spare. We absolutely loved that there were 4 different climate control zones and multiple washers and dryers. Host was very responsive and accommodating. We came for access to High Lake, but mostly stayed on Fishtrap as we were catching more musky, pike and bass there. Teens loved the game room.

Time on Fishtrap Lake

Good rental. Clean, well decorated and room for a family of ten. Small lake and not all that busy even on the 4th of July week. Good fishing for a family group. Owner available, affable and helpful.

Excellent for families

This house is amazing as well as its Owner. Wish we would’ve had some better weather, as there was no snow or ice for us. The kids were a little frustrated and had cabin fever, so it was difficult to keep them busy. Good thing this place has an awesome game room. Highly recommended by us.

Fish Trap Lake July 2022

The rental is incredible!!! We had 10 adults and it accommodated us perfectly with room to spare. Lots of space! The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a top of the line gas grill outside. You can sit at least 10 people at the dining room table (and probably more). Bedrooms are all beautiful and spaced out around the property so everyone has privacy. Beds are new and comfy and plenty of pillows and blankets. The game room is pretty awesome and is fun at night when everyone gets back in the lodge. Foosball, billiards, stand up shuffleboard, and a legit arcade game. The grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of outdoor seating including a giant fire pit with seating all around and what I am guessing is a 12 foot long picnic table. There are even patio party lights around the fire pit. All in all, the property has a lot of places to gather as a group, or slip away and read a book by yourself. Fish Trap Lake is beautiful, and very quiet. Lots of wildlife around. Deer, otters, loons, all kinds of birds, and Eagles! There is even a resident Albino deer that we spotted a couple times. There aren't a lot of properties on this lake so the boat traffic is very low if you like to SUP or Kayak. Its a very peaceful lake with lots of ins and outs and bays so even if it gets windy there are lots of lee sides that are calm. Muskies avoided us during our stay but they are there and there is plenty of bass, walleye, and panfish action. Both Fishtrap and High Lake are available from the property. The boat launch is on High Lake. There is plenty of docking for boats, a swim raft, and a clean area for swimming. There are even stairs going into the lake. We caught about a dozen bass right off the pier and there are panfish around as well if you have kids that just want top see a bobber go down. Its proximity is also great. Its a short 10 minute drive to Boulder Junction, and about 25 minutes to Minocqua /Woodruff . Ice cream and drive in food at the Ice Shanty in Boulder Junction. Ice cream at Mad Dogs in B.J.. Food and spirits at Boulder Beer Bar. Northern Highlands has bait and fishing tackle. Its about 25 Minutes to Lake of The Torches Casino in Lac Du Flambeau and about 40 minutes to the Northern Lights Casino in Watersmeet Michigan. Plenty bike trails in the Boulder Junction area. Overall, this is a flat out 5+ star rental. You will not be disappointed. We will go back without hesitation.

The Perfect Northwoods Vacation Spot

Beautiful home on great lake. Great inside and out! Wonderful for fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Fabulous view from deck. Perfect area for evening campfires. Game room for evening fun. Highly recommended!

Perfect Place for our Family Reunion

Everyone in our family (6 adults and 3 children ages 5,6, and 10) fell in love with Fish Trap Lake Lodge and we spent a wonderful week savoring its natural beauty, both indoors and out. The weather was warm enough for swimming, calm enough for kayaking, and refreshing for morning walks and evening gatherings around the firepit. Indoors we enjoyed rousing games of fussball and pool and the plentiful toys and games for the children. A few of the many highlights of our week include two eagle sightings at close range, and seeing one eagle catch a fish, plus a magical kayak tour along the Manitowish River. Many thanks to Michael for being such an attentive and thoughtful host.

Annual Up North Summer trip

The house was great for our three families. Plenty of room to share meals, relax and read, play games. The lake is beautiful and quiet-very few boats. The owner was incredibly responsive to any questions we had. We are already looking forward to next summer!

Great Cabin with great fishing lakes!

Gathered family and friends and headed for a week in Northern WI. The cabin is beautifully furnished and well kept. The game room is perfect family entertainment in the late evenings but the fun was also had as we gathered around the dining table for dinners right before we headed down to the lake for evening fishing. Both morning and evening fishing was excellent as we caught large mouths , small mouths, crappie, perch, bluegill and the ever elusive Muskie! The Owner is an excellent communicator and even sent a text asking if everything was good and if we needed anything or had questions. This experience has created family memories and has inspired the next generation to seek the north woods!
