We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful lake house, and it was everything we hoped for and more! The space is incredibly spacious, the beds were super comfortable, the toy stash there made our kids feel like they got "two Christmases!". The house provided ample room for our family to gather and enjoy quality time together. It was spotless upon our arrival, which made us feel immediately at home.The kitchens had everything we needed to prepare our meals, the dock arrangement and view were beautiful. The fire pit was a lovely addition, perfect for roasting marshmallows and sharing stories under the stars. The views were absolutely breathtaking—pictures don’t do them justice!A special highlight of our stay was the owner, who was incredibly lovely and understanding. We had a lot of medical equipment to move for my mom, and she was accommodating with our need to drop things off earlier than check-in. Her kindness truly made a difference in our experience, and I can't thank her enough!She even went above and beyond to help us have a memorable and enjoyable tripOverall, we 100% recommend this lake house enough! It’s the ideal retreat for anyone looking to unwind, hang out with family, and make lasting memories. We can’t wait to come back!

The home is on a beautiful water lot that is easy access to the lake. Kitchen is Very well stocked; beds were all comfortable and the porch was wonderful.There was plenty of space for 12 of us. Rent this home, you won't regret the experience!

Enjoyed this lake house

Property manager was very responsive. We loved the house and the boathouse especially was perfect for playing card games while the other family members fished and enjoyed floating in the lake.

Gorgeous lake home loved our visit

This beautiful home was the perfect place to stay for our large group of 10 people. Everybody had their plenty of space and there were plenty of bathrooms and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need. We had a blast taking the paddle boards and kayaks out on the lake and the dock is a quick walk down from the house and it has its own private boat house with life vests and chairs and other furniture and a wonderful place to hang out. it’s one of the favorite homes we stayed at and we hope to be back again soon. The host was lovely and communicated everything in a prompt manner and we can’t thank her enough.

Peaceful space

This home was exactly the location and size we needed when we had our daughter's wedding at our lakehouse also on Hyco Lake. It provided such a serene place for coffee in the morning on the deck overlooking the beautiful yard and lake before all the chaos of a weekend wedding ensues. Jenn was absolutely wonderful in her communication with me, thorough and timely. Although us as Parents of the Bride didn't spend much time there, what we did was very comfortable and restful. The other family that stayed here raved about how beautiful and spacious (and separate) the downstairs area was. As we were coming and going different times of the day, this was very helpful in our accommodations. So very happy this beautiful place was part of such a special weekend on Hyco Lake !

Great for a large group

We rented for our race team & pit crew for a VIR race. Exactly as described, plenty of space and beds for everyone. Common areas both upstairs and downstairs were great for a large group of people. Christmas decorations were a nice touch. Would love to stay again!

Perfect for a family

My family with little kids and a dog stayed for lake fun and a racetrack weekend at VIR. We loved the house, location, property, and dock. It’s a quick drive to VIR. The house was very clean and well organized. It had lots of pots, cooking supplies, towels, shampoo, soap, etc… The house has an awesome yard and is in a nice little cove off the lake. We loved being able to easily walk from the dock to the house and the dock was comfortable to sit on. It was such a plus to be able to run back and forth on a gently sloping path. We had meals and coffee on the lovely covered deck with a fan going so we didn’t have to worry about mosquitoes. It’s an awesome place and we hope to visit again!

Secret gem in Semora NC!

We had a group of 12, two families, for 5 days and we never ran out of things to do at this house! The way the rooms are spaced, and having two kitchens made it a dream stay for so many people! The lake is beautiful and not too busy. You can float, paddle board, and kayak safely. We will absolutely book again and again, We rent many, many VRBO's each year and this is one of the top homes that we have enjoyed!

Graduation stay but will def come back

We came for a graduation that was in Durham. Once I saw this house I knew this was the one! The grass is greener, the air is fresher, the vibe is more peaceful then the pictures can describe. If you are going during warmer months get a boat from NC marine they are so nice!the house is just breathtaking seriously..I didn’t want to leave lol ..Jennifer is very responsive as well.. was a very easy experience and pleasant

Super nice

Very clean, kitchen well stocked (plates, glasses, silverware). Lots of spices, etc. was too cold this weekend to checkout the waterfront but looked like easy access. Beds were comfy. Super large outside area also that we did not get to use to full potential.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Our property is about 1 acre with lots of parking space. Our five bedrooms are ample in size. Three rooms are upstairs and two are down. We have a sidewalk to the lower level bedrooms and the dock in case steps are a concern and our lower level bathroom has just a small step in to the large shower.

There are two full kitchens in the home and a grilling station outdoors. We provide many of the basic needs for cooking. Our coffee bar has a regular Keurig cup dispenser and full pot, bean grinder, Vertuo Nespresso, electric kettle and loose tea pot.

The dock is 2500 sqft with two boat lifts and a jet ski lift. We require an additional fee for use of the lifts and a brief how-to review. In our bar on the dock we have a mini fridge and many different sized life vests.

Available to our guests free of charge is the use of our kayak and SUP. Please care for them like they are your own and lock them up as you found them.

Please inquire about our “cozy stay” rates if you don’t require the entire 5 bedroom home or your stay is under 3 nights. The upstairs is easily partitioned and the whole outdoors is still available.

Please inquire about events on the property. Weddings and more formal gatherings are encouraged and would be beautiful on our property.

You’ll have access to the whole home with the exception of a few locked supply closets and the garage.

You will also have access to everything on the dock. Please take care and require little ones and non-swimmers to wear a vest. It’s about 7 ft deep off the end of the dock.

Other things to note:
Our home is not child-proofed but we do welcome children. Our children are young and have done fine in the home but be aware there are no baby gates or childproof devices.

A single pet is permitted. No large breed dogs please.
