This property has been surface updated to some extent. However, the basement queen bed has an unsupported middle causing a horrible sagging to the point that I moved to a bunkbed for decent sleep. There was a moldy ceiling and a wet-stained wall at bath register and behind shower pipes respectively. I emailed owner regarding these. In addition, no one is cleaning the shower walls or bath crevices which showed heavy soap scum and some spots of pink mildew.

Excellent house with a great location

The house had plenty of room and we loved staying there. The porch was amazing and loved sitting outside with the breeze at night. Will definitely go back.

Great house in great location

Thank you for hosting us. The house is in a great location and we were able to enjoy Tybee Island and the surrounding areas. The porch is amazing and the downstairs table tennis area was great. Overall everything was clean and comfortable but some updates on the property would be good. Anyway, would book again. Thanks

Rescued by 4 Houses From The Beach

Our family of 11 people and 2 dogs planned a reunion in Savannah over Memorial Day and booked a house in January. 3 days before our check in that house cancelled! You can imagine our Panic! There was one house available for our needs. That was this house and It turned out better than the one that cancelled. It was very close to the beach. Clean. Spacious enough for our group. And had space for the kids and adults to be in different spaces. I would come again.

Christmas holiday family gathering

This property was excellent for beach access, restaurants, and amenities. The owners were very responsive to our needs as issues occured on Christmas day related to stormy weather and electrical outages. The layout of the home well accommodated 5 adults and one child with owners thoughtfully having provided a "Christmas welcome" in decor for family and gift for child.

Lovely beach home

We enjoyed our stay very much. Plenty of room with 9 of us and 2 dogs! The porch was our favorite, we spent as much time as we could there. The ping pong table was a hit too! The floors are a little worn and sandy, but it’s a beach house! A little sand is to be expected. Beds were super comfortable and the bedrooms were roomy and decorative. The coastal vibe throughout the whole house really helped to make our spring break a beach escape. I highly recommend staying here and visiting Tybee Island!

Comfortable Place to Stay with a Nice Vibe!

The home is large, our group was able to get together comfortably but everyone had a quiet space to be if they needed it. There are two cozy areas to kick back and watch TV or read. It is super close to the beach and there is a lot of nice outdoor space on the large porch as well. The kitchen came stocked with some basics, always nice. The large gas grill was ready to go and we cooked out several times. Everything felt comfortable and lived in so we were able to not worry too much about the kids causing any damage, a big plus!

Good house for a family

We enjoyed our stay at the Hussey House. The location was wonderful - a 2 min walk to on a dead end street that begins the board walk to the beach. The house was perfect for us with kids - had games and sand toys and pingpong. Could use some upkeep as there was a worn and somewhat dated appearance, and the beds were quite soft, but was fine for us. The porch was amazing and we loved hanging out on it.

Great Winter Getaway

As per many of the comments of those that stayed before us we had realistic expectations of the property. The property does need a bit of updating and a good deep clean, however, there were many wonderful attributes. First, the property is located close to the beach on Tybee Island. It is an easy 4 minute walk over the boardwalk to the beach. The porch on this house is beautiful and accommodated the whole family for some relaxing swings on the porch swing and place for some great card games. The grill on the porch is also very nice and makes for a great alternative to going out. There was plenty of room to cook and serve food and the whole family (10 of us) could hang out together on the main level or split apart for a bit of quiet time. The beds were comfortable and there was ample space in the bedrooms. Perhaps the best attribute was the communication from the home owner. There had been a power issue in the house the week before. Bill was in constant communication regarding the progress and the power issue was resolved the first day we were at the property. This communication made our whole group feel more comfortable that everything was being done to resolve the problem. Our family greatly enjoyed our vacation and this unique Tybee Island house. The fireworks on New Year's Eve and the Polar Plunge on New Year's Day were great fun. We also really loved the friendly Tybee Island residents and their suggestions of restaurants and things to do.

We loved the house and location! The front porch was awesome to hang out on! The house could use some updates but all and all ..we loved it!! The only problem that we had..our son in law had to park in front of the house on the last day..the rental agreement said we had up to 5 parking spots..he received a parking ticket..he called and explained that we were renting the house ..but the lady was not nice on the phone..we will see what happens from that 🙃

Great property

Footsteps away from the beach. House had enough room for the whole group of us and children without being crammed . The house did need some updates , but everything was there that you needed for a large group of 7 adults and 4 children. We actually brought stuff that was already there , like beach chairs ,toys etc.Good experience and would recommend the property to other families wanting to be close to the beach and pier area without being crammed.

Wonderful stay at Hussey House!

This wonderful house was clean and comfortable. So close to the beach! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Wonderful places to eat and shop nearby. Quick trip into Savannah! We should have longer!

Great Location

Giving a 4 star only because on our first night there my sister in law went to use the upstairs shower, slid on the slick floor as she stepped in and broke her arm. Just assuming cleaner wasn't washed out completely. Be cautious!! Other than that we had a great stay. We had plenty of room for all 9 of us. Didn't realize when we made reservations it was the same time as Orange Crush. That event left the town almost impossible to drive in. The location of the house made everything safer and easier. A very short walk to the beach, shops and grocery store. No driving necessary. It was stocked with plenty of games, movies, books and toys for the kids. We all enjoyed the ping pong table. It has all the cookware, utensils and appliances you need. Our favorite night was staying in away from the crowd grilling out, making strawberry and banana smoothies, chilling out on the beautiful big porch. We will choose this house again for our next stay

Relaxing at The Beach

This house is fantastic! Very comfortable beds, plenty of room for our whole family, and everything we needed is provided. The beach is a close walk down the boardwalk at the end of the street. The house comes with beach chairs, beach toys, beach towels, and even a beach wagon to pull everything in. The ping pong table was a lot of fun. There are a lot of books and some games to play. The outside porch was one of our favorite spots to hang out with the rocking chairs and porch swing, tables and chairs.

Friend’s vacation

The house was great. The porch was awesome!! Had everything that we needed for our week away. Right down to beach chairs and a wagon to tote them in. We would definitely stay again. Only suggestion would be to have an electronic lock on the down stairs door.

Great place to stay

This house was just a few houses away from the beach, and a little walk to the shops, restaurants and peir. The house has a ping pong table, and kitchen had all the pots and pans you could need. The kids loved the bunk room and we spent lots of time on the porches bed swing!
