We had a great time. Rodrigo was very helpful and prompt in sorting any issues that came up. The property was fab - well located and well stocked. The kids loved the warm pool and the patisserie across the road was an absolute feast. The local beach was stunning and so easy to access. For the price we paid, we couldn't have asked for more!

First time in Portugal

Amazing property, had absolutely everything we needed. Pool was awesome, so close to a couple beaches, the grocery store and across the street was a great pastry shop. Everything we wanted to do was within a 15-30 minute uber ride. Will Definitely be back!!

Ideal villa for our needs

Villa with plenty of room for our needs (7 adults) 5/10 mins from restaurants and bars, 10 mins walk to beautiful beaches.We used the pool everyday. Rodrigo recommended a few places to go and experience, all of which were good.The villa and pool area are a bit tired but this didn't affect our lovely holiday.

Our weeks stay at Villa was fabulous, we really appreciated our wonderful airport transfer which is included in villa cost , as it took out all the hassle of finding the villa late into the evening night. Check in and out was made so easy by Rodrigo who meet us upon arrival. The heated pool was one of the Villa’s highlights, along with being so close to beautiful pastry shop /cafe across the road, and within 10 minutes walk to fantastic supermarket Apolónia, beach and restaurants. No need for car as can use Uber/Bolt to get into nearby Albufeira . Even though parts of the Villa need updating , we would highly recommend a holiday at Rodrigo’s Villa. We also recommend hiring our airport transfer lady Andrêa at Break Holidays transfer services to bring you on your along the beautiful coast.

Great stay in Gale

Vills was clean and as described. Airport tranfers and check in were hassle free. Rodrigo was very attentive and helpful. We all had a very enjoyable stay.

Great Location

This Villa was ideal for us. Location is perfect with beaches, supermarkets, restaurants etc all within easy walking distance. Yes, some areas of the villa could do with updating but the terrific facilities far outweigh the minor issues. As other posters have said , Rodrigo is a great host. Really nice guy, helpful & easy to contact. We all want to go back!

Lovely stay

Really enjoyed our stay villa has everything you need, is clean however needs a little updating. The area is lovely everything is just a short walk to restaurants and shops, the beach is about 10 minute walk and is beautiful. The owner was very helpful I would book again

Wonderful villa with everything you could wish for

Our stay in this villa was great all around. The villa is beautiful, clean and very close to beautiful beaches, supermarkets and restaurants/bars. We used the pool and the barbecue a lot. The next bigger city is only 10 minutes away by car.The host Rodrigo and his team are all locals and very nice and helpful. A transfer from the airport to the house is included!Galé is all in all rather quiet and posh. If you want a party vacation you should rather go somewhere else.

Family visit

Rodrigo was helpful with advise, directions and information whenever we required. It is a very relaxed villa close to the beach, pubs and restaurants. This was our second visit and we'll be back again.

Family and friends stay

We stayed at the villa for 17 nights over the Easter holidays, my family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children, joined by various friends and family over the duration. The villa is a fantastic size, easily accommodating our maximum occupancy of 12, with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and very spacious communal areas, location is fantastic for access to local beaches and amenities, and getting into Albuferia old town and marina. Rodrigo is very welcoming and accommodating, with the heated pool (which is especially great for the kids) being covered each night, he is available to check in with you and ensure everything is going well, also a special mention for Andrea who sorted out our various comings and goings with the transfers. Overall a great stay and much appreciated, would definitely recommend

Holiday

The owner was really nice and helpful showing us everything we needed to know about the villa the pool was heated and he arranged our transfers which were all included in the price which was great the villa itself was clean but is a bit dated as mentioned by a previous visitor however this didn’t spoil our stay.

Pros Brilliant location. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Beautiful beach about 15 minutes walk. Supermarket within walking distance. We used Bolt to go further afield into Albufeira which were really cheap and reliable. Heated pool was amazing. Although quite small we made good use of it.Also transfers from airport were a bonus and this worked really well. Rodrigo was very helpful and when we had a slight problem he dealt with it promptly.ConsAs stated in previous reviews the property is very dated. The kitchen was very well equipped with cutlery, dishes etc but it is quite small for so many people. But saying that we were able to prepare quite a few meals for our party which consisted of 10 adults and a baby. The shower in one of the downstairs bathrooms could do with being replaced.Overall however we had a really good holiday in Rodrigo’s place. Considering the price we paid and we would return if we ever have the opportunity.

Family stay

Had a lovely week in this villa. 11 of us from age 6 to 70. Heated pool was great and ouside dining area was fab. Compact but enough room for us all. Close to beach and we worked out a short cut by the supermarket too. A quiet area with restaurants dotted around and a great cafe over the road. No real shopping street, but we went to Albufeira for the day. over t rewith

Family Holiday

Fantastic villa , big rooms , lovey terrace and warm pool. Great for outside entertaining . Very clean and very well equipped. Handy for restaurants, beach is 10 mins beach and lovely . Easy to find a quiet beach but also lots of beach bars . Safe neighbourhood. Easy to get to Albuferia in a taxi €5 in 10 minutes. Great host Rodrigo was very helpful and friendly . I would go again and fantastic value for money.

Fantastic Villa

We were a family of 5 (3teenagers) we had such a great holiday in the villa! The pool was beautiful and bigger than we expected which was great! Rodrigo was very respectful and helpful though we had no problems during our stay. There was plenty of space and everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen had all amenities needed for a relaxing stay and the washing machine meant we could really save on luggage space! Really hope to return again soon. The town was lovely and the beach is spectacular and within walking distance. I’d highly recommend this place for families. Thanks for a lovely holiday Rodrigo!

Lovely clean villa and excellent service

We've just returned from a 2 week stay. The villa was exceptionally clean. I agree with some previous guests regarding it requiring an update but, as we spent our time by the pool, it didn't really affect our stay. Rodrigo is an excellent host...so helpful and attentive. He did everything possible to ensure that we enjoyed our holiday. It's a lovely area...the bus stop being a few yards away, a great chinese restaurant and bakery/cafe opposite and a supermarket a few minutes away. We used Ubers to get around most of the time...they are cheap and efficient.

Relaxing holiday

Lovely stay in Gale 2 families total 12. Villa in a great location walking distance to beach and some beautiful coves. Apolonia supermarket 5 min walk for daily items. Uber to Aldi for main shop. Colibr 11 across road lovely coffee, buns and icecreams. Restaurants dotted around, all within a short walk and all very good. Cocktail bar across from Mr Singh, Indian very good as well. A very relaxing week. Rodrigo a lovely host and around if needed. Pool heated and a great hit with all. Thankyou for a great holiday thoroughly enjoyed by all.

PROs - 1. Great location near beach and restaurants. 2. The villa is Great value for money 3. Nice pool and pool toys 4. Dishwasher 5. Washing machine and drying racks 6. Clean villaCONs - 1. NO SOAP in any bathrooms on arrival 2. No extra towels for the pool/beach 3. Squeaky camp beds 4. Some parts are poorly maintained inside and could do with some minor fixes that would make a big difference in the bedrooms and bathrooms (lights not working, no holder for some of the shower heads, etc).As others have written, the cafe across the street is great, food is not exciting enough to eat there every day but good for basics (especially breakfast and lunch) and an evening drink. The Apolonia cafe (very slow service) and Apolonia supermarket are a short walk, but much more expensive than the Aldi that is a 20 minute walk or very short Uber ride away. Download the Uber or Bolt app for getting around cheaply. There is a small beach a straight walk down from the villa, but the larger, nicer beach is about a 12 minute walk away and a right turn at the roundabout after the turn into Apolonia.

Perfect villa and location

Rodrigo was very helpful before we even stayed at his place contacting us in advance to arrange things. He let us know the villa was ready earlier than the official check in time and greeted us when we arrived, showed us round and let us know everything that was nearby. He even booked a caves and dolphins boat trip for us at a discount and could not have been more helpful staying in contact with us throughout our stay. The villa is lovely and big with plenty of room with a pool that catches the sun all day long. There was a TV in every bedroom and a huge one in the lounge. The bedrooms are all a great size and there’s a balcony for the top 2 bedrooms across the width of the villa. It had everything we needed during our stay and is in a perfect location with a cafe directly opposite and a great Chinese restaurant. There’s plenty of other bars and restaurants in walking distance too. The nearest supermarket is a short walk and was a big enough shop that we didn’t need to go to a bigger supermarket. There are some great beaches nearby and Praia da Galé is absolutely massive and never got close to being crowded. The port of Albufeira where we got the the boat trip from is 10 minutes or so away and there are loads more bars and restaurants there. Highly recommended, we would happily stay again.

Great Villa, Pool & Location

This was an extended family holiday with 7 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of room for everyone! The Villa clean, spacious and cool with plenty of air conditioning available. The heated pool was just right as we had children ranging in age from 1 to 7 but still accommodated the adults. The kitchen was a little tired but very well equipped for the number of guests. There were 3 child friendly bedrooms downstairs. The 2 bedrooms upstairs were less child friendly due to the stone spiral stairs. It would have been useful to have a floor plan during the booking process as the picture’s became confusing as to their locations. The outside eating space was superb and most of it well shaded from the sun. There was a great cafe quite literally across the road as well as a Chinese restaurant, with other restaurants within easy walking distance. Similarly, the beach (also with a number of restaurants) was only a 10 minute easy walk away. The owner was very friendly and gave advice on the local area. He also covered to pool at night and uncovered it early morning. The airport transfer being included was an additional bonus. We all had a great holiday!

Wonderful villa perfect location

We are a family of 7 with 5 kids ranging from 15-20 years old. We had a wonderful stay at this incredibly well equipped villa. It ticks every single box and even a few extra boxes (like aircon in the kitchen)! We've had countless family villa holidays over the years and this villa is by far the best located we've ever stayed at. It is directly opposite a Chinese restaurant (delicious) a cafe/bar and a small shop. The cafe is incredibly good value (burger for €3.80) and so convenient kids would just pop over the road for lunch. The villa is within 10 minutes walk of the beach the (expensive) supermarket and at least 8 restaurants all with great ambience and great food. You do not need a car! Anything a bit further away like Aldi (20 minute walk) or Albufeira you can take an Uber which is never more than a minute or two away. There are Ubers waiting in the Aldi car park and it's a 2 min and €3 Uber back to the villa with your shopping. Albufeira is a 10 minute drive roughly €9. The beach is beautiful one of the best in the algarve. Long and sandy perfect for long walks. There are areas with beach restaurants beds for hire and all the water sports you can think of. I couldn't recommend this villa more!
