La casa del lago en Picture Rock Ranch

The Lake House en Picture Rock Ranch está ubicado en el impresionante Cañón del Valle de Torrey, a 12 millas de la ciudad de Dubois. La cabaña histórica completamente reconstruida cuenta con dos habitaciones con vistas al lago Tail, uno y medio baño, cocina completa y lavandería, un porche en la entrada, estufa de leña y un autocar extraíble para dormir hasta seis personas.

Disfrute de la serenidad del agua en la puerta de su casa y la belleza del glaciar Ross Lake en su patio trasero. Tome su café de la mañana en el muelle y mire el amanecer. Pase un tiempo remando en el lago en una canoa o kayak, o intente engañar a una trucha con pesca con mosca de clase mundial en el lago o en el Torrey Creek que atraviesa la propiedad. Realice una breve caminata a los petroglifos indios (antiguas tallas de rocas indias) en la propiedad y en el cañón, o camine por los numerosos senderos que rodean el Lake House. Una fogata y humo podría ser un gran final para su día.

My family and I really loved this cabin. We are all originally from WY but live in CO now. I love WY and this place is perfect. You are out on your own with no one around - exactly the kind of experience I like. Jerry was really very nice and accommodating. We appreciate all the effort he put in. The Lakehouse is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. This was our second time staying here and Jerry is always friendly and accommodating, we love the lake for canoeing, fishing and the breathtaking views. We are animal lovers so we especially enjoy Jerrys horses and dogs on property. We bring our dogs and they love playing with Jerrys dogs on the lake. The worst part about this place is packing up and leaving. We look forward to the next time we can make it here again.

We enjoyed our week at the Lake House. It was very peaceful. The kids had a blast kayaking, canoeing, and splashing around near the shore. Our two dogs also enjoyed there time running along the shoreline and venturing out into the water.

A Fabulous Retreat!

We had a great time at the Lake house. Jerry was a welcoming host and the cabin is just as it appears in the pictures. Our stay was the perfect combination of activity and relaxation. We paddled around the lake, took a short hike, put together a puzzle in the screened in porch, explored the town of Dubois. There is as much (or as little!) to do as anyone would like. We're already thinking about a return visit.

This was the perfect place for our family vacation! We loved being surrounded by nature and having all the fun activities to do. Being right on the lake allowed for us to fish, kayak, and relax on the shore. We were a short drive to the trailhead which allowed for quick access to the beautiful mountains. There were plenty of ORV trails and roads for us to explore as well. The Lake House was a perfect “home away from home.” We loved the personal touch of our home-state flag that greeted us upon arrival.

Peaceful

Very peaceful and relaxing place to get away. Jerry was very kind and welcoming and leaves a nice personal touch for his guests (I won’t ruin it for future guests). It is definitely in a very remote area. If you like the outdoors and are looking to disconnect, this is the best place. The Lake House has everything you could need, way more than any other places we’ve stayed in the past. Linda, the caretaker of the ranch, was absolutely amazing and we very much enjoyed meeting her.

Vacation in the mountains.

We booked this property last minute after we seen our week had opened up. Jerry was quick to respond and sent his number for easy communication. We arrived to a clean welcoming cabin. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The lake and the views were nothing short of spectacular. The surrounding property was stunning. Jerry and his family were so kind and we loved speaking with him about the history of the cabin, and the ranch itself. We loved the kayaks,canoes, and fishing and coffee on the dock. We would absolutely recommend this place for a quiet get away or some time with your family. Thank you Jerry and family! We can’t wait to come back The Elliott family.

Quiet oasis

Property owner was great at communication and super friendly. The cabin is set in a quiet, beautiful oasis on a lake. Our family enjoyed every minute. Fishing, kayaking and hiking trails were all easily accessible and enjoyed all week long!

Lakehouse retreat

The Lakehouse was great. Everything was very well represented in the ad making it easy to know what we needed to bring and what could stay home. We all had a great time exploring the area. Best of all, we could just hang out at the cabin and enjoy a great lake and dock right out the back door! Host is super friendly and very accommodating to any questions or needs you may have. Thank you, Jerry, for sharing your lovely cabin and the cookout on the 4th! The cabin had everything we needed. I loved all the animals: deers, foxes, prong horns, osprey, rabbits and fish. We had such a relaxing time walking your property in the morning and reading on the screened porch in the afternoon. The dogs and the cat had the best vacation of their lives as well. We will be back!

As close to perfect as it gets

I cannot adequately describe how much my family and I enjoyed staying at this property. Although we trekked to the Tetons, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Sheshone Natl Forest area, and the local sights, we couldn’t wait to return to the property to hang out and enjoy its amenities. We fished, kayaked, canoed, hiked (a lot), stared at petroglyphs, chilled on the pier to the lake and in the screened room, petted horses, and I even kept up with my work emails (like a loser) thanks to the robust wifi available. This experience is exactly what my family needed to bond after a year of intense activity that scattered us in every direction. This property and area bristles with as much recreation one can handle…..or none at all. The host is a good man, and I believe we hit everything that he’d recommended. I suggest that others follow his kind advice. The property is mind-blowingly spectacular, and we wanted to spend every waking minute outside while there. My family tends to never vacation at the same place twice, but I believe that we found our exception.

Perfect vacation

We wanted to relax and unplug and we did just that, thanks to the lakehouse. We fished, kayaked, hiked, explored Dubois and enjoyed every minute of the cabin, location, weather, people, and amazing views. This was our favorite vacation, and we've traveled, and we will be back as often as we can.

Absolutely gorgeous!

We stayed a week with your pet dog at this cabin. The cabin was comfortable, clean and well maintained — had everything we were hoping for. Beautiful mornings and evenings right on the lake, with wonderful walks on the property as well up into the glacial hills. Great hosts that made sure we had everything we needed. Their dogs were also very friendly. Would highly recommend a stay here …. we look forward to returning.

Beautiful lakeside retreat

The cabin was so beautiful and so peaceful. We stayed there to be close to the Tetons and Yellowstone. We enjoyed the mountains but enjoyed the cabin and its surroundings as much. We sat on the dock for hours enjoying the views. The fishing on the lake and hiking to Lake Louise were amazing The owners were very helpful and very nice.We would highly recommend the cabin.

Our Honeymoon

Perfect Getaway

perfect secluded cabin with Gorgeous view of the lake, our Dogs loved it, We loved the town of Dubois and it was just a short car ride to the Tetons, Jerry was very friendly and helped us with anything we needed, living room furniture was a little uncomfortable but we made do, All in All was a great vacation , especially the canoeing on the lake

My name is Jerry Falco and I am the owner of the Lakehouse at Picture Rock Ranch. My wife Kate, son Kurt and I live on the property. We have two adult daughters that come back to the Ranch often to visit and enjoy the area. We have been coming to the Dubois area for vacations for over 30 years and decided to make this property our permanent residence in 2016.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We purchased Picture Rock Ranch after a 3 year search. We met the owners, shared coffee and purchased the property on a handshake. We immediately knew that this property was perfect for our lifestyles. The property has 4 houses on it. The main house where we live, the guest house for our friends and adult children to stay, the Beck House where our caretakers live and the Lakehouse which is listed on VRBO for the summer months only. Our horses enjoy the corral and paddock areas and we love riding into the mountains surrounding the property.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Torrey Valley in which we live is one of the most beautiful locations in the Dubois area. We wake up in the morning to the sun coming up over Trail Lake and the Absaroka Mountains and watch it go down over Ross Lake Glacier. Our visitors constantly ask us if we ever tire of the view - we do not! The Ranch also provides the perfect location for horseback riding, fishing, hiking and enjoying the wilderness area surrounds us.
