Nuestra cabaña es la escapada perfecta para una familia, un grupo de amigos o una pareja. El lago y los jardines alrededor de la propiedad brindan tranquilidad y paz, lejos del ajetreo y las distracciones de la ciudad. ¡Siéntase libre de recorrer los senderos y nadar / pescar en el lago! Es un viaje muy bonito a Columbia, MO (unos 30 minutos), y 20 minutos a Rocheport, una ciudad histórica muy linda junto al río Missouri. Las impresionantes atracciones cercanas a nuestra propiedad son: Isle Capri Hotel & Casino, Rocheport Winery y The Warm Springs Ranch / Clydesdale Breeding Farm.

A very cool place in the world :)

We arrived at dusk and the twinkling lights all over the garden and trees was magical! We will visit again in spring/summer to see the gardens and trees in bloom! The doves and animals were fun too!

Peaceful Night Away

The property was so peaceful and quiet. My oldest daughter, who is almost 22, loved the goat, sheep, and minature pony. The cottage was comfortable and clean. Great communication.

Pro's:- most of the place seemed clean- Good instructions on how to find stay- quiet and peaceful- no light pollutionSuggestions for host:- fix doors (especially front) to be able to easily open and shut all the way- clean walls and under bed of master bedroom- Deodorize very strong fish smell - Have written instructions on how to work heating and A/C (especially for visitors coming late/leaving early)- Put working curtains in master bedroom- (host/other guests) keep dogs inside or on a leash/in a pen outside OR warn guests of unaccompanied dogs - Make sure all doors are locked before guests arrive- Get rid of 75% of decor/extra furniture (too much clutter makes guests wary of hidden cameras and could make it easier for guests to leave possessions)- Give written instructions on how to turn off lighting/make it easier for guests to know how to turn off lighting inside stay- Fix both twin bed frames so that the metal one doesn't creak so loudly and the wooden one doesn't sound like it's going to break when turning over in bed (or buy different ones)- update photos of stay with new furniture/decor

Awesome place to get-away for some peace and quiet

What a beautiful property to stay a few nights. There is a wonderful garden and as a bonus some farm animals to visit with. My wife and I loved our time a the cottage and will definitely be back. We have been recommending to our family and friends as well.

Off the Radar

If your looking for a relaxing atmosphere off the main road, this is your place. The gardens are beautiful. The stay was accommodating for our needs. I would definitely recommend for a nice get away for any events in neighboring towns. Owners are close and very friendly.

A special treasure in the Missouri countryside. Very cozy, quiet and wonderful gardens. Only stayed one night but can't wait to come back and stay for many more!

Secret Place

It was very cozy inside and beautiful outside even during the winter. The inside had the cutest decor a nice amount of space a place for everything and a place for everybody great for weddings and events or just a get away. I’ll be back soon I know it’ll be just as amazing next time.

Shannon and Anita were great. Very kind people. Property was a great retreat. Beautiful environment. Something for everyone- lake, animals, etc. Beds were very comfortable.

Beautiful French Garden Cottage

Hosts were so nice and accommodating! Was about 10-15 minutes away from the interstate for us driving through. Cottage was very clean and bigger than expected. Grounds were beautiful and fun to walk around in the morning!

Country Charm

Beautiful and comfortable. Had trouble with reception which caused issues with finding my checkin info, and hostess went out of her way to help me with checking in. Very clean and comfortable.

Charming, roomy cottage for our group of 6

Our book club of six stayed one night in the cottage. We had plenty of room and the cottage provided lots of space to be together and space for privacy. Also walked through the gardens and visited the animals around the property. Very unique place!

Nature Cottage

Our place was amazing. Very comfortable. Each room had it's own flair! The kids loved it, my wife and enjoyed ourselves. It was nice to have our own space. We had the pleasure of meeting our hosts in passing. They were very kind and friendly. Even their staff were nice.

wish we could stay longer

In route to our destination, this was a stay for rest. But wished we planned extra time here. Its a beautiful property. & being able to take our little fur babies meant so much, & they & my husband & I enjoyed walking the property. They left lights on for us, it was beautiful. A beautiful place worth the ride out in country. will be back

Hidden away.

The house was fine, but there was a very musty smell in the restroom, and in the master bedroom. The wifi was really challenging. The house was roomy and let us have our own space.

Peaceful, quiet, beautiful and friendly

If you are looking for a wonderful place to get away from it all- this is it! I was able to leave the city life and all its noise and bustle far behind. There are spaces to walk, gardens and cooing doves to enjoy. The lodging was very comfortable with lots of outdoor spaces to wander or just sit. I was not there for romance, but this is a very romantic setting. Anita and Shannon are marvelous hosts: very warm and helpful but not intrusive. I stayed here a month with my canine companion and would definitely go again.

Great weekend stay

Our daughter attends MU and we were looking for a quiet place to enjoy some family time. We were approximately 30 minutes away from Columbia. This was the perfect place for our twin-13 year old boys to run around! The view was beautiful!!! We had lots of space for our family of 5 and room for more. The owners were fantastic! They were always just a text away and quickly responded if we needed any thing. We will definitely be back!!

Girls get away

The gardens were lovely and the lake was beautiful , we only spent the night as we were on an antiquing adventure. I would like to mention, cell service is almost non-existent at this location. Anita provided us with WiFi so if you use WiFi calling you should be fine , but Verizon 5g is a no go.

Anniversary trip

Beautiful property! Didn't have to communicate with the owners because there was no need. Tons of space, directions were great. Only reason didn't give 5 stars is because there is a musty oder and did not see a single smoke alarm in the home. So being a former emergency worker all i can think is this is a death trap if a fire was to start while we were sleeping. Also do wish there were blinds or curtains on all the other windows because when someone is walking on the property they can see straight into the home.

Beautiful & Peaceful

A big group of us came in town for a concert and needed an affordable place to stay that would have us all. I found this property and didn't look into too many specifics because we only needed the place to sleep. When we showed up, we LOVED the property. We could have just booked the place and the property would have been our trip. It is set up for weddings, but even though we weren't there for that we still enjoyed it. We took the little trails through the woods and voyaged on the little raft in the lake. Made friends with the animals, and walked through the gardens. There are so many great photo spots as well. The house itself is larger than I thought, there was plenty of room for us to hangout and sleep, and we baked some cookies in the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again!

Pretty views

It worked great for our group of seven. We wished there could’ve been one more queen bed but all in all there was plenty of space. Does not have central air, wished the air had been turned on a little bit before our stay, but it also was an unusually hot day, over a hundred while we were there, and it took it several hours to cool down. We had a small issue and it was fixed right away. It was dog friendly which was very nice getting to bring the dogs. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. The towels and bedding were soft to touch and the kids enjoyed all the different textures of the decorative pillows. Even with the small hiccups I’d recommend this place. The scenery and flowers were gorgeous.
