An absolute oasis
We just got back from a ten day tour in Belize, which began at the Cabins at Monkey Falls. I rented two cabins, one for my husband and myself and one for my kids and sister in law. The location was absolutely perfect. Close enough to head into San Ignacio if we needed anything but far enough away that it really felt secluded. The grounds were absolutely stunning and lovingly tended by Rod. Rod was an absolute treasure. We are nature lovers (two of us are naturalists and environmental managers) and he answered so many questions about plant identification, ecology and the wildlife. Walking through Rod's coconut and dragonfruit groves in the morning, listening to the birds was the highlight of our trip. We were well taken care of in the food department! Rose kept us feed with her fantastic cooking! We loved sitting in the outdoor kitchen, watching the hummingbirds and drinking coffee in the morning. The cabins themselves were simply charming. Cute little kitchenette areas were perfect for some late night snacks and cocktails. The beds were very comfortable, and the screened porches were simply perfect. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. I can't recommend this place enough. Rod's family made us feel like family and we were so grateful. I would stay here a million times again.
