The home was beautiful and spacious. We arrived after dark and the home was well marked. Lots of stairs so you leave in much better shape then when you arrived! Pet friendly!

This is a well maintained and very comfortable house. Even with the low lake level the the views were great. From the booking to check-out, we had excellent communication with the host.

Family Christmas

The house was located in a nice area that was close to where my other family members were staying. It is a bit older - lots of wood and mirror walls throughout the home- but was clean. Everything worked as expected and the owners were terrific to work with us. They even put up lovely holiday decorations. We noticed an odd smell in one of the bedrooms that might have been related to an animal of some sort.

Family gathering

We had a family gathering for Thanksgiving. There were several different age groups and the space worked very well. The pictures made the living area look larger than it actually was but it did accommodate all of us. There were a lot of dishes and accessories that were really appreciated. There were some spices available. We had a great stay.

Stay here!

We enjoyed the stay. Had to get with the Host once on a minor issue. They responded quickly and courteously. The accomodations are wonderful. The amenities are close by. The kids loved the house as well as the adults. You won't be disappointed!

We came in to visit Lake Travis for Labor Day weekend and chose this house for our stay. From the time of booking to check-out, it was all a pleasurable experience.

Best hosts in Point Venture

Our youngest child turned 18 and to celebrate him and his next chapter in life, we wanted to go to a familiar favorite- Lago Vista area on Lake Travis. We were thrilled to have stumbled on this place; Ricki and Mary are excellent communicators and enhanced our experience with the tips and responsiveness! The home was clean, comfortable, and lots of room to spread out. We loved the 70’s vibe! The location was perfect in the community- just a few steps from the pool and near the marina. The lake was too low to enjoy their dock, but I can imagine that when it’s high enough, it’s a short and easy path to water. Check in was so easy, the surrounding neighbors were kind, and the balconies and views were serene at night. Great spot - will be back!

Great stay

Easy check in. Everything worked out great. We had to really look for the check out instructions, but found them under "damages". There wasn't water in this finger of the lake, but that was okay (and the owners told us upfront about it). Lots of stairs, lots of bathrooms!

Great house in a great location!

Our large family group enjoyed a great weekend here. House was very comfortable with plenty of space for everyone and kitchen was super well equipped. Great location even with the low lake levels.

Great Point Venture Townhome

Eight family members enjoyed our stay during the 2024 Eclipse. The home was well kept and comfortable with all the kitchen facilities we needed for our group. Short walk to pool gym dock and restaurant. Hosts were very easy to work with. Glad we came!

Fantasy Football Draft Weekend

Our families came from several cities in Texas to visit and get the kids and grandkids together. We also had our 8th Annual Fantasy Football Draft too. The home accommodated all of us. The pingpong table was a big hit with the kids. The AC kept up with the Texas heat and we enjoyed both the front and back porches. The deer sightings were a real treat too. Overall it was a great Labor Day weekend.

Spacious and Comfortable

The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a relaxing family get a way. We enjoyed the board games and the teenagers loved the ping pong table.

Beautiful spacious home

This is our second time back to this home and we fall in love with it more every time. It is big and spacious for our large family. The neighborhood has amazing views and is really quiet and private. The hosts are great at communicating with you. They are very helpful and their response time is great.

Family reunion

This is a lovely house with plenty of room for 10 adults and 2 toddlers plus newborn baby. The kitchen is well stocked. The card key passes to all of the Club amenities came in handy because although there was no water for the house’s back yard dock, there were plenty of other activities like swimming, pickle ball and tennis to keep us occupied. The ping pong table downstairs is a great bonus, especially on a hot summer afternoon when you need to stay in the AC! A minor drawback is that there is no backyard to play in - instead there are 3 decks which are nice but not toddler friendly for active play. There is a great private park with a playground and sandy beach but you need to drive to it. Also lots of deer roam freely - lovely to see them graze.

Townhome on the lake

This place is decorated very well AND comfortable. We didn’t want for anything. Kitchen well stocked. Plenty of towels. Tissue boxes in each room. Games. Sitting areas all over the property. Also the place was very clean. The neighborhood was quiet. There’s a great restaurant down the street. Truly the food was yummy. Communication with the owner was easy. Very nice people.

Jamie and Mary Cotterell and Alan and Ricki Anne Dodd bought this property together in 2006. Jamie and Ricki are brother and sister and our families have always enjoyed doing things together, especially water sports. We loved the idea of a place big enough and with plenty of bedrooms for our families to get together. We just love coming to the lake, relaxing, hanging out with family and enjoying the lake, grilling and fishing.

We know you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Lake Travis is one of the most beautiful lakes in TX and we love the TX Hill country. We chose Point Venture because it is on the North side of the lake and closer to Cedar Park where Jamie and Mary live. The cove we are in is so nice and peaceful and has beautiful sunrises. Point Venture offers so many wonderful amenities like a 9-hole golf course, Swimming pool, Tennis courts, Pickle Ball courts, Exercise Gym, Library, private 50 acre park with Frisbee Golf, basketball court, Volley ball net, play ground, covered pavilion, boat launch and Fuel dock at the Gnarly Gar floating restaurant.
