Beach villa at Aldeia do Meco, near Sesimbra and Lisbon

Modern villa with total privacy. Has private garden and private swimming pool (8m x 3.5m) and is located in a very quiet area at Aldeia do Meco village, 1.5km away from the beach and 35km away from Lisbon, in a condominium of 7 villas.
It is a perfect place for those who like beach, sunshine, nice restaurants and nature. Very peaceful and relaxing.
The villa has 170 m2, is fully equipped and has contemporary decor. It has:
- Living room with circa 50 m2 (has panoramic view to the garden and swimming pool, on one side, and to an outdoor terrace / patio on the other). There`s also a relaxing pergola in the garden area.
- 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms: a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom upstairs and 2 double rooms + 1 bathroom + 1 social WC downstairs.
The house is located near some amazing beaches. From beaches with all the infrastructures and restaurants (ex. Meco Beach, Bicas Beach) to very quiet beaches without support or lifeguards (Foz Beach) and to naturist beaches (Rio da Prata).
Bicas Beach is within 15 minutes walking distance. Rio da Prata Beach is more or less the same walking distance. Meco Beach and Foz Beach are 5 minutes by car, and Sesimbra is 15 minutes by car.
The house is located 750m near the center of Aldeia do Meco (5 to 7 min walking), where you can find typical cuisine based on fresh fish and seafood and find some nightlife in the central street of the village.
Sesimbra, the closest city, once a very small fishing village, and is famous for fish and shellfish restaurants.
For diving, Portinho de Arrábida and Sesimbra beaches have some of the most interesting diving in Portugal.
Sailing, windsurfing and canoeing can also be enjoyed nearby at Albufeira Lagoon (a lagoon), 5 minutes by car from home)
For the golfers, there are 4 recommended championship golf courses: Quinta do Peru (20 km), Aroeira (27 km), Montado (30 km) and Tróia (40 km).
For horse riding, there are a few riding schools in the region.

Absolute perfection in every way!

Visiting Portugal for the first time with a group of about 25 people. We were spread out across several houses in the Aldeia do Meco area and our group had the best accommodations by far. The attention to detail in the house is amazing, from the comfortable bedrooms, to the extremely well equipped kitchen, tasteful and attractive decorations throughout the house and oasis of the main living area that opens out into a fantastic private yard with pool and shady, comfortable seating area. You can't ask for a better location either, convenient to the incredibly beautiful beaches as well as all of the fantastic restaurants in town. Teresa is an incredible hostess. She is on top of everything and extremely attentive , flexible and caring, doing all she can to make sure her tenants are well taken care of. She was extremely patient with me and answered all of my questions, seemingly within minutes. When just about everybody in my party that was staying at the house wound up with very long travel delays, she was very flexible and accommodating to our very fluid situations. In short, I couldn't have been happier with my experience from beginning to end. Do yourself a favor and stop looking at other properties and book this one. You will not be disappointed!

Une belle maison bien équipée néanmoins avons rencontré de petits problèmes simples qui ne devraient pas exister quand vous louez ce type de maison. Un peu déçue de ce côté là. Aussi, un grand chantier en cours tout proche vient gâcher le décor. En revanche, les animaux sont acceptés.

Estadia 10 estrelas! A anfitriã Teresa é incansável, de uma simpatia enorme e sempre muito prestável. As fotos, ainda que óptimas, não fazem justiça à casa que é excelente, muito bem equipada e decorada. Boa localização, óptimo para descansar mas perto de tudo o que é essencial. Tudo óptimo e sem nada negativo a apontar. Foi uma estadia de longa duração que soube a pouco e estamos ansiosos por voltar muito em breve!

Fantastique

La maison est parfaite pour découvrir cette région du Portugal, coin très calme et en même temps à 10 mn de voiture de sesimbra plus balnéaire. Point idéal de départ vers les sentiers pédestres dans la Sierra de Arrábida.une très belle découverte de cette région à une petite heure de Lisbonne. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette villa qui est parfaitement conforme à la description et très bien équipée. On s’y sent comme chez soi. Great House and great Host

We looked for a nice house not too far away from Lisbon to spend a few days in combination with a weekend in Lisbon. 40 minutes away from the Lisbon airport we found this great place in Aldeia do Meco. It’s even niceer than on the photos and equipped with everything you would need. The owner put so much attention to detail that we found bread, wine, milk, jam, some beers and even toothpaste in the two bathrooms. Also the communication with Teresa was always very pleasant, fast and helpful. The location of the house is also great because it only takes a few minutes to get to one of the nice beaches or to go out for dinner. We had a great time and would love to be back again.

Perfekt für Ruhe und Erholung

Wir haben uns im Haus von Teresa sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung, der schöne Garten, der Swimmingpool - alles sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll. Teresa ist eine wunderbare, charmante, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Wir empfehlen das Haus gern weiter.

Superbe maison contemporaine

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Teresa après notre semaine dans Lisbonne. La maison est superbe, très bien agencée, décorée avec beaucoup de goût, très propre. De loin, la maison la mieux équipée que nous ayons louée (cuisine et linge).On s'y sent comme chez soi! Le quartier est très calme.Teresa est de plus une hôte très accueillante et sympathique. La région est très agréable avec peu d'urbanisation, à proximité d'un parc naturel. Quant aux plages, il y en a pour tous : océan avec de grosses vagues, lagune pour les petits enfants, criques comme en Méditerranée....En un mot : allez-y ! Et encore merci à Teresa

Best choice ever !

We could not have been more delighted with our stay at this villa. Not only is the house beautifullly designed, but also all is foreseen to make you feel welcome and at home. The place is quiet, temperatures are very pleasant and set up allowed us also regular runs in the area, with stunning sea views. Teresa showed authentic care and we cant be more thankful ! Travellers tips, a nice welcome wine, and all you need in the house to just drop your luggage and Enjoy! No single negative point... pool was also lovely and we enjoyed it a lot too. Thanks Teresa we already dream of coming back !

Très belle maison d'architecte - Très bien équipée - Ideal pour une famille avec des enfants

En entrant nous avons eu l'impression d'arriver chez nous, tant la maison est bien équipée. Du savon dans les salles de bains, des pastilles pour la machine à laver la vaisselle, des capsules Nespresso... et un minimum dans le frigidaire. Nous avons pu vraiment profiter de cette maison calme, de sa piscine et de ses coins ombragés... Le BBQ est un weber au charbon: plus aucun souci pour l'allumer. Le temps de l'apéritif et vous avez une super braise. Teresa la propriétaire est très sympathique, facilement joignable, parle très bien français, nous avait laissé un maximum d'infos pour profiter de la région. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Lovely stay in Sesimbra

We had a lovely time staying in Aldeia Do Meco. The villa had everything you could wish for (BBQ, fully equipped kitchen, lovely outdoor space, comfortable furniture, safe and secure). Teresa was absolutely charming, meeting us on the Sunday with a very nice welcome pack and a big smile. She even helped us construct a cot at the last minute. My only recommendation for improvement is Air Conditioning. Being from the UK, we are not used to the heat, and having the windows open in the evening was not possible due to a lot of dogs barking in the area. The area surrounding the villa is beautiful. There is stunning scenery, nature and miles of beaches. The beaches are great for adults with big waves, but there is also a lovely calm lagoon which is perfect for children. The people in the local village were very welcoming and all the restaurants were child friendly and the staff were very willing to help translate the lovely authentic Portugese cuisine into English. We had a fantastic time and will be back!

Une maison magnifique et un accueil très chaleureux .

Nous connaissons très bien Meco pour y avoir loué plusieurs maisons mais celle de Teresa est pour nous la plus jolie et la mieux entretenue . Nous avons eu un accueil extrêmement chaleureux , Teresa parle un français parfait . Nous avons eu L impression d occuper la maison d une amie dans laquelle elle nous avait tout laissé, nous avons donc pris possession de la maison tres rapidement . Le jardin est très agréable et les équipements ( notamment dans la cuisine ) sont en grand nombre . Nous avons donc passé un merveilleux séjour et avons eu â regret de partir, nous reviendrons c est promis!!

Wunderbare Woche.

Wir haben zusammen mit unseren 2 Kindern eine wunderbare Woche in dem Ferienhaus verbracht. Das Haus war sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Teresa ist eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Person. Wir können das Ferienhaus gerne weiter empfehlen.

Everything promised and more!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and Teresa could not have been a better host! She made us feel incredibly welcome, providing excellent tips for local restaurants and attractions. The space is absolutely stunning! Our only regret was not staying here longer! By far the best short term rental we have ever experienced! We cannot wait to come back one day! Luxury at it's finest! Everything was perfect

We had a wonderful, wonderful stay in Aldeia do Meco. The house is the perfect place to stay. It is very tastefully furnished, you will find everything you need (beach towels, umbrellas, fully equiped kitchen, etc.) and more importantly it is a place were you can immediately feel at home. Teresa is a wonderful host. She provided all kinds of things for my little daughter (bed, bath tub,...) we did not even ask for :-) She responded within minutes on every question we had during our stay and is a very warm and likeable person. The pool and garden of the house are a true highlight, it is in a very quiet neighborhood very close to the village of Aldeia do Meco. You will need a car though to get to the beach and also to the village. It is very close but the road is not ideal for walking. I can only recommend staying in this house!!!

Tasty decoration (amazing art works to be enjoyed), equipment and furniture are higly qualitative. The owners Teresa and Miguel are trully charming people... They made us feel comfortable right away... gave us a comprehensive file with tips and information about where to go ..etc. They nicely left the house with a bit of food and offered bottle of wine as a welcoming gift. Aldeia Do Meco is a nice little town by the sea (5 minutes by car) with most of everything you need... We really enjoyed both the place and the house... We definitely recommend...DO NOT HESITATE :-)

Kanonbra boende i en härlig omgivning.

När vi kom fram möttes vi av Teresa som introducerade oss i huset och även berättade om omgivningarna, vad det fanns att göra och var man handlade, vilka restauranger som var bra osv.... Vi hade även kontakt med henne under veckan, när vi undrade över något. Hon är jättetrevlig!! Huset är fantastiskt. Vår dotter tyckte spontant att hennes man var en dålig fotograf då verkligheten var mycket bättre än bilderna. Alla rummen var rena och mycket trevligt inredda. Poolen var fräsch, städas en gång i veckan. Köket har allt du kan behöva inklusive basvaror som vi kunde ta av samt en härlig kaffemaskin. Området var lugnt, förutom sista natten då Portugal vann fotbolls-EM. Omgivningarna är helt fantastiska, för den som gillar häftig natur, härliga stränder och salta bad. Det är inte heller så långt norrut till Lissabon och Sintra. Åker man söderut är det nära till Setubal, där man kan ta färja till Troia och se delfiner och få de allra mest härliga sandstränder man kan tänka sig. Vi hade helt enkelt en toppensemester !!!!!!

Fantástico

Este apartamento está muito bem localizado, a meio caminho entre a aldeia do meco e praia da foz. A casa é simplesmente óptima, está muitíssimo bem decorada, equipada com tudo o que é necessário e com uma cuidada organização. O jardim e a piscina são o delirio dos miúdos e a zona exterior para refeições é muito acolhedora. A tudo isto acresce a simpatia da Teresa como anfitriã. Simplesmente adorámos o fim-de-semana! Familia com 2 filhos, estadia em Junho/2016

Top Class from start to finish

Teresa is a legendary host. Could not have been more helpful. The house is beautifully designed and furnished and equipped to the highest standards . A short walk to the village with a couple of lovely restaurants and bars. Also a short drive to a number of gorgeous beach. 45 minutes from Lisbon Airport, we will definitely be back!!
