Untouched nature
The log cabin is surrounded by the taiga forest. It is located on Lake Kitka, the largest unregulated lake in Finland and is about a ten-minute drive from Ruka, in the Finnish municipality of Kuusamo. Ruka is a beautiful and extensive winter sports area. In Ruka you can hike, there are many winter- and water sport possibilities and you can completely relax and unwind in the untouched nature. We have a range of activities that will introduce you to the magnificent beauty of Ruka!
The taiga forest
The taiga forest is one of the last primeval forests in the world, covering a large part of Finland, including Ruka. Six-hundred-year-old spruces are no exception and the flora and fauna flourish in the untouched landscape of the Finnish taiga forest. The nature of the taiga forest provides unique and unforgettable experiences with the possibility of seeing bears, moose, birds of prey and wolves while enjoying a walk or during a sailing trip on the lake. The luxurious, detached log cabin can accommodate three people and is located on a plot of three thousand square meters on the shores of Lake Kitka. The log cabin has a double sofa bed and a loft bed for a child. The log cabin also contains a kitchen, a fireplace and firewood, a modern shower with toilet. And of course a traditional wood fired sauna that you only find in Finland!
