PERFECT!

This property is beautiful! The house is large and comfortable! The outdoor area is very private with a gorgeous Mountain View, has a beautiful patio that is shaded at all times and the large pool (which we spent so much time in) was wonderful! The home was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The property owner/host was fantastic. Always quick to answer any questions we had…..and I have to mention, one of the nicest people we have ever met. You simply cannot go wrong with this home!

Overall good experience

Sal ( host) was very helpful and responsive. Property had many amenities and was well stocked. Plenty of room for 4-5 guests. Downsides were many dishes in kitchen were dirty upon arrival , pool temp was a little cool , several appliances were non operational and hot water was lacking. Overall good with these exceptions.

A perfect home for the holidays

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home and neighborhood. We were within a short walking distance to the Lost Dog trails. The description and picture are accurate. The kitchen is fully stocked- we made all our Christmas meals! The home is comfortable and clean- we didn’t miss anything. It was easy to communicate with Sal throughout the entire process.

Perfect in every way!

We visited Arizona to meet with Mayo doctors for 94 year old parents. The house was a wonderful respite from the city and the heat. We prepared at least one meal a day in a kitchen that has anything needed. We hope to return for next Mayo visit!

Great Property!

Located in a quiet, gated community, we found this home to be just as clean and beautiful as pictured. Even though just two of us stayed this time, with the open concept and comfortable furnishings, the large-well-equipped house is perfect for large groups as well. It is so easy to keep clean and the beautiful pool is kept in pristine condition by weekly visits from the pool man. We so enjoyed our views of the mountains and gorgeous sunsets while dining on the back patio, and working with the owner was very easy. Hopefully, we will be able to enjoy another stay at this great property in the future!

Multiple stays

Our family has stayed at this house four or five times. This house fits all of our needs. We have six or seven family members all at once and it has enough space to gather together and/or find a space for some solitude. The rooms are exactly as pictured. The house is kept clean and safe. There are plenty of towels, cookware, etc... The pool and surrounding area meets are needs perfectly. It is nice just to walk out of the house and there is the pool area. You can request the pool be heated if you wish. The biggest reason we keep coming back is the location. You may walk this gated community daily without concerns. You are within walking distance to trailheads leading into the McDowell mountains. You will be just 5-10 minutes away from stores, restaurants, and beautiful shopping centers. You are only 25-30 minutes from downtown Scottsdale and Old Town Scottsdale. Also, minutes away from golf and pickle ball areas. Just a couple hours away to some day trip adventures, like Sedona and Canyon Lake. One of our favorite spots is Fountain Hills just 15-20 minutes away. So this house is the perfect location for all that. The owner holds the renters with the highest priority and is easy to communicate with. Our family will be staying here again and again. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Thank you for your hospitality. Sid

Golfing vacation in Scottsdale

Very comfortable for the four of us (two golfing couples)...clean, well appointed in a good neighborhood. It is well located for access to the major highways, thus easy to get to all the great golf courses. Convenient to shopping and restaurants.

This property was disappointing

The house was not well prepared for guests. Food including milk left in frig, which was not clean. Grime on window sills, screens in master bedroom were in poor repair; windows had not been cleaned and some have broken seals. Furniture was old and worn, the house sits low on the property, with advertised view below eye level when sitting. The house is dark and lighting inadequate. The floor lamp was broken, as was the faucet in the kitchen, the shower in the master bath has poor water pressure and we think there is a leak in the roof as we heard water dripping when it rained. The towels were in the laundry basket, and it felt like we were moving in on top of the owners. The closets still had the owners clothes and furniture covered with sheets. The carpets are worn and dirty. The cook top ancient circa 1980’s. Grime around the dishwasher and washing machine. Owner requested a particular dishwasher product was not provided and not readily available in grocery stores in the area. , Left over condiments in the fridge. Clearly this property needs a professional property manager to make this as advertised. Renters deal with property owner who is nice, but not professional.

We will be back

This is a great home. It is spacious, in a quiet gated neighborhood, stocked with plenty of paper goods and other amenities. The exterior doors are alarmed and the doors to the pool area are keyed. So, if you take the keys out, nobody can get to the pool area. This was very important to us as we traveled with small children. I have already booked another trip to stay here.

Fantastic location and accommodations!!

Our group of 4 couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this great home. Fully stocked with everything we needed for our week of vacation, including towels, linens, dishes, coffee and toiletries. The gated community is quiet and easy to access from both airports. It was a perfect location for our group, near family friends. And, only short LYFT rides to restaurants and bars. Highly recommend.

Golf getaway for 4 golfers

We stayed at this property during first week of April 2014. There were 4 of us golfers, and we found the location perfect for us, with all sorts of courses within 1/2 hour drive. House was clean, with a well equipted kitchen, and a great family room for us to sit around in front of the big screen TV following our golf. Pool area is very quite, and a great spot to relax and read a book. The home is located within a gated community, and with the fence/wall around the back of the home, its very private and very safe. During our stay the pool filter developed a leak, but Sal took care of it and had a new pool filter installed. I would love to come back again.

Great property, excellent location!

Our party of 6 adults spent 2 weeks at this fabulous house in January. Not only was the house a perfect fit for us but the location was perfect for all the sights we wanted to see. We started each morning with a hike in the mountains which are literally out your back door! Afternoons were spent by the heated pool with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the sun. Whether you decide to stay home and cook in the well equipped kitchen or head out to any of the great nearby restaurants, you won't be disappointed. The house was extremely clean and well kept and Sal is a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely return, thanks Sal for sharing your home!!

Great House

Our family (2 toddlers, 2 adults and 2 grandparents) stayed in this lovely home mid-February 2014. The house was perfect for our winter get away vacation. Both interior and exterior were clean and well kept. We swam in the heated pool every day. Additionally as parents of small children, we liked the door chime feature when the exterior doors were opened to the pool area. The location of this house was also perfect for our family very close to great shopping, restaurants, and entertainment for our children. We can’t wait to come back next year. Thanks Sal!

Great Family Vacation Home

Our family of 5 (3 kids, pre-teens to toddler) just returned from a week-long stay at this home in Scottsdale, AZ. The home is really lovely, large, clean and incredibly comfortable. We paid a little extra to have the beautiful pool heated, and enjoyed the use of it almost every day. The location of the home is easy to get to (there are grocery stores and restaurants a short drive away), and the gated neighborhood is quiet and safe. I especially loved having such a well-equipped kitchen. All of the proper pots/pans/serving pieces are there - I easily cooked Thanksgiving dinner, just as I would have had I been at home! We would happily stay here again. Thank you, Sal!

Great Rental Property

I stayed at this location for a week and could not have been happier. Sal was a pleasure to deal with and the home was perfect in all ways. I've been to Scottsdale many times and always stayed in hotels, but after this stay, this is my new number one option.

Wonderful Vacation Home in lovely area

My family stayed at this lovely home for 13 nights in July. There were 6 adults and 2 children (9,12) in our party. This home was perfect for us, it is exactly as described and was much larger than we had expected. The master bedroom is huge and is so comfy, it is separated from the other bedrooms on the other side of the house, which was great for us as it gave so much more privacy. All beds are very comfortable and the area is really quiet and peaceful giving a great nights sleep. The pool is fab and was a welcome relief in the hot summer sun. The home has got all amenties that are required for a relaxing vacation and the kitchen had everthing we needed to cook a few meals during our stay and the BBQ was a great addition. We loved that the home had many ingredients in the kitchen such as spices, cool drinks and other essentials that are required to cook simple meals. This was very much appreciated and it is great that these are not wasted like other rentals who ask renters to throw this type of food away before leaving! As other reviewers have stated, there are some personal items in the house, but this did not bother us in any way, the house is so big, there is plenty of space for storage! We found it made the house very homely and made us feel relaxed at really at home. Thanks Sal for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home!

Beautiful home

We stayed for a week during the winter months. This is an amazing house with plenty of room. We had 2 families with 5 young kids total. Plenty of room with kids sharing the beds. Our biggest concern was if the pool would be warm enough this time of year. The temp of the pool was typically around 80-85 degrees and the kids swam everyday, and even one night. Sal was very helpful and available if we needed anything. It was a very pleasant stay. I am a runner and found the trails, which were only a 1/4 mile away, a beautiful place to run. I was able to explore and learn all of the trails in just one week so it is not difficult. I would definately recommend this house. Thanks for letting us share your future retirement retreat Sal.

Family Retreat

I want to take this opportunity to thank Sal for sharing his home with our family to start off the Year of 2012. We had a wonderful stay and found everything just as advertised. The location was perfect for our group which consisted of four golfers and three spouses primed for seeing art, shops, and taking advantage of the hiking trails in the foothills literally behind this lovely home. I will admit that I thought Sal would require a king size bed with his height and the size of the master bedroom and I would recommend he upgrade when he needs a replacement but we rested well as is. The location was perfect for golf and shopping activities with old Scottsdale minutes away. The travel to Sedona or Phoenix for meetings or sightseeing is no problem due to the location in close proximity to the major transportation routes. This is the perfect setting for a family or group of close friends to share. My family and I expect to return for a another great time at Sal's home next year.

We Loved This House!

We were a group of 5 adults who rented Sal’s house over Christmas and New Year, in order to escape the gloom and damp of the Vancouver, BC winter. This was the first time we had rented a house so we were a little unsure of what we might have let ourselves in for. We needn’t have worried. Sal was brilliant to deal with. He provided information about our stay at the house ahead of our arrival so that everything went smoothly when we got there. He met us at the house and gave us a tour, explaining everything we needed to know. We had a minor issue which we needed Sal’s help with and he was just a phone call away. The house was spacious and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay, right down to bathroom tissue and soap! The kitchen had been left well-stocked by Sal and previous renters – it was nice to know that the house is rented on a sort-of “pay it forward” basis – anything that you buy but don’t use (that isn’t going to spoil), you just leave for the next guests – in return for being able to use anything left by those who rented the house before you. The location and setting were amazing – incredibly peaceful yet really convenient for getting out and about. There’s an Albertson’s grocery store just a 2 minute drive away (at Frank Lloyd Wright and Via Linda) and the Pima Freeway is about 5 minutes away – great for getting to/from Sky Harbor International Airport, downtown Scottsdale and beyond. The house is in a private gated community which is well-maintained and which has beautiful views of the mountains. The large heated pool was a treat for us Canucks - it was just a shame that the sun didn’t get high enough in the sky to shine onto more of the patio (but we’re sure that come July and August, having shade would be a real boon!). We made full use of the gas grill and the patio heater also made it possible for us to spent most of our evenings outside. All in all, we had a fantastic vacation and would not hesitate to recommend Sal’s house to anyone looking for a home-away-from-home in Scottsdale.
