Modern and well equipped chalet with incredible views
The 180 degree view across the valley to the mountains on the other side was absolutely stunning. We couldn't stop taking photos of the view all week. The chalet has recently been refurbished and everything feels new. The, kitchen, in particular, is very modern. The oven is a nice big size. It is well maintained and very clean. The fireplace in the middle of the living room was a real asset and helped provide a wonderful cosy atmosphere. There was plenty of room for 10 of us (7 adults and 3 children). The rooms are of a good size - especially the master bedroom!!! There was a double garage which is conveniently located opposite the chalet. There is plenty of room for two cars, although we tended to leave one car in the garage and the other just outside the chalet. It's a bout a 15 walk down the hill to the ski lifts and centre of town - a bit too far to walk with ski boots on. There's a free ski bus that goes from a stop that is about 50m up the main road from the chalet. Alternatively, as we did, there plenty of places near the ski lifts where you can hire ski lockers for the week and leave all your ski stuff there. It's then easy enough to walk down to the ski lift in normal shoes. The rental agency were very responsive and helpful and answered all our questions. They were on hand when we arrived and showed us to the chalet. We were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome gift of local artisanal products which we all greatly enjoyed ! Nice touch.
i guess, it would have helped to have provided some tips on how to get from the chalet to the centre of town without driving. We had to figure out. the logistics in terms of buses and ski lockers etc. Would have been really useful to have had that info up front. Can't really think of anything that could be improved. It was one of the best chalet rental experiences we've ever had (and we have rented many chalets in Switzerland, France and Italy over the years).
