Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental agent was wonderful, highly recommend.The home its self has bare necessities.Odor in the carpetTwo of the bedrooms have no televisions and the ones that do don’t work very well except the one in the living room ( not good if kids are coming)Really needs a deep cleaning.Only thing that made it worth the price was beachfront.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, beautiful beach and view, relaxing and fun week spent with family. A few items needed upgrading/replacing were the pots and pans (some had burnt bottoms), the TV's were difficult to operate, and the pedestal sinks were pretty, but there was no shelf space to place personal items. The bedrooms were pretty small and one bedroom (3rd level) only had one nightstand (no dressers) to place clothing or other items. Downstairs bedroom had an entry door to the outside (which didn't feel secure) and the shower stall was minute.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the house and location. The house had a few issues upon arrival. We called for maintenance late Saturday afternoon and within an hour all issues were taken care of. Some of the TV’s in the bedrooms didn’t work (we didn’t report) and the kitchen lacked a few things we needed, but we were able to work around those issues. There were no pot holders or oven mitts and we went to Walmart and purchased a set. Some of the bedrooms were a little tight. The shower in the main floor bathroom was a little tight. The house is dated but very clean with the best location. We would definitely stay here again

Amazing stay

We had a total of 10 people and we all enjoyed the house. The beach is great and just a few steps from the back deck. Only issue we had was that only one room had two beds but and we wished that we had two rooms with two beds.

It's a nice rental for a week

First time visitor to Murrells Inlet and have to say we really enjoyed the location. Nice beach and very easy access to grocery, restaurants, etc... We filled the house to capacity and while a bit crowded, it was worth it to be right on the beach. The house definitely is showing some age including some mold in the 3rd floor bathroom which should be addressed but overall it was fine. The main TV in the living room didn't work but thankfully we had an HDMI cable to connect to a laptop the one time we wanted to use it when an important game was coming on. Some other minor issues include the knob on the beach side spigot has rusted off (very sharp and dangerous for little kids) and while the rental agency says their houses don't come with a grill, this house a charcoal grill permanently installed. I don't want to dwell on negatives because if we return to the area we would certainly look at this house again. However, if we stayed here again we would probably keep the guest count to 10-12 instead of 14.

Great location and Great Beach, however, encountered quality issues with the property. AC, Grill, and front porch areas that were disappointing as it relates to the price paid.

Hi Brian, We really appreciate you taking the time to write a review. We agree with you and think Dempsey Cottage’s location on the oceanfront in Garden City Beach is ideal for a vacation spot that offers amazing ocean/beach views and private beach access. However, we regret that you experienced some maintenance issues during your stay. As you know, we received your call afterhours that the air conditioning was not performing at its maximum at which time we immediately dispatched a licensed HVAC technician who repaired the unit that same evening. We do not advertise that any of our properties are equipped with grills, which is why we highly recommend renting a gas grill through our concierge service so that we can insure you have a fully operational grill with a full tank of gas for your stay. Although some of our homeowners have grills at the houses, we cannot guarantee the condition and as result of your experience, we have removed the old park-style grill from the property. You did not report any problems with the front porch, nor have any other guests, and after inspection we did not see any issues; if you would have reported a needed repair to the front porch during your stay, we would have been happy to immediately take are of it for you. It is our mission to insure our guests have the best, most comfortable vacation experience possible. Perfect beach vacation!

We absolutely loved Dempsey cottage! You can’t beat the location and the views are incredible. This house has everything you need with five bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The living space is big enough so everyone can eat together and hang out together. We had 10 of us staying here and there was plenty of space. We hated to leave and would definitely recommend to everyone!
