Harry was a great guest, and I met him when I went over to Lucerne to diagnose the heat issue. Unfortunately, an insect shorted out the outside HVAC unit, and the primary heat was out for only a few hours. I immediately went to the house and showed them how to use 1) the gas logs in the living room, and 2) the baseboard heat in the other rooms. Our HVAC guy repaired the heat within a few hours while the guests were out for the day. I don't know how much quicker we could have had the heat back on, as it was only out for a few hours, but the backup heat was keeping the home warm. As for the neighborhood roads: We clearly state on our listing that the Asheville City roads are narrow, as most city roads are in a downtown area, no matter what city you're located in. I'm disappointed to read this review, as we have a 4.94 review rating with thousands of reviews over 20 years of hosting. I understand that some guests are easily frustrated when there's an issue, which is why we are available 24/7.
