Great Place for Our Family

The property is perfectly captured by the photos at VRBO. It is a well-kept, remote property by a quiet stream. It was perfect for our family gathering. It might not be for everyone-- read the rules carefully before you book it-- but we found exactly what we hoped for.

Spacious lodge, private setting for extended family gathering

This comfortable, clean lodge provided everything we needed for a relaxing 4 days with our children, their spouses and the grandchildren. The setting is both secluded and unique. We were able to make short drives to Lake Michigan beaches and to local rivers for kayaking; but most enjoyed coming "home" to this unique and secluded setting.

Back to Nature!

What a fantastic place to just hang out with family in a natural setting. Such a cool thing to see so many deer! If you are looking to unplug, play games, and enjoy time on the front porch, this is the place.

Seclusion and peace and quiet

Seclusion and peace and quiet property was absolutely beautiful. This is definitely a place to go to get away and be away from everything. The property manager was absolutely fantastic and has a wonderful family. Our family had a great time and enjoyed watching the deer from the front porch and playing board games in the evening

Ladies Weekend

We all had a great time during our annual mothers/daughters weekend at the Allen Creek Lodge. The lodge was beautiful and very roomy. We loved the en suites in most bedrooms...didn't have to wait for the bathroom during shower time. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and all of the beautiful deer. Thank you!

Relaxing Weekend Away

Brought a group of 15 for a weekend work retreat and only have positive things to say about the lodge. The property manager was very helpful and met us at check in for a tour. There was plenty of room for us to have our weekend as well as indoor and outdoor activities. The kitchen is extremely well equipped we were able to make dinner and breakfast for all of us. Highly recommend to all looking for a large lodge in West Michigan!

Family Vacation

We had a fun week! Pentwater is 30 minutes away, Ludington beach was lovely, we hiked on trails in the Manistee National Forest and had fun kayaking and rafting in the Pere Marquette River. Only complaint is it was 30 minutes or more to do any of that, but the nights were gorgeous by the campfire, it was quiet and we enjoyed watching the deer!

We had the best time at our stay in Bitely. Everything about it was the best, from the weather to the fishing to the shopping to the eating to the playing on the grounds. Yes we had our own Olympics! The kitchen was so well stocked with spices and pots and pans. The games downstairs were so much fun we hardly saw the teenagers. But sitting in the rockers all day was the best! Getting to kick back and talk to my sisters and family in such a quiet and peaceful setting was bliss! We are hoping to have a reunion again next year and of course, we will be back in Bitely! It is the BEST!!

Amazing Gaming Retreat

A group of us were looking for a perfect remote destination where we could just play games, eat food, and hang out... and that's exactly what we got. This lodge was perfect for our needs with plenty of beds and bathrooms and a great space that we could come together to eat and spend time. With people coming at different times, there was enough parking for everyone and the kitchen is what we wish we could have at home.The only drawbacks were that the internet was pretty weak (this was also a plus) and that it was hard to get the lodge cooler at night for sleeping (though the basement was perfect sleeping temps).Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun space for a large group.

Returned two years after our first stay with an even larger group (15 adults, 11 kids ages 0-7) and still had plenty of space! The kids loved running around the yard, biking and playing in the stream! We took a nice day trip to Pentwater one day which had a very nice beach! The host and property manager/caretaker were both super helpful and responsive!

Absolutely beautiful!

We loved our stay. We brought our adult children and our grandchildren. Loved the placed. Really appreciated that our adult children had ensuite bathrooms so that we did not have to share. The children loved the bunk rooms. Such a serene place to be. Everything about this place was beautiful and extremely well kept. We even discussed another vacation here in a few years.

Amazing Northwoods Lodge

We had a large 5 family reunion at the lodge and it was fantastic. Between Kelly for property rental and Dave for his onsite help we were totally set up for a successful visit. We can’t say enough about the house amenities – the kitchen, dinning areas, sleeping areas, downstairs recreation room and grilling on the back deck – everything was comfortable and spacious. Easy house access for grandparents to go with the first-floor master suites. The wildlife viewing from the front porch alone kept us entertained for hours. Also, plenty of nearby entertainment for the active set with trips to Silver Lake State Park, Ludington and canoeing/kayaking/rafting on the Pere Marquette river. 100% recommend!

Great place for our thirtieth reunion!

I am part of a group of gentlemen who have been "getting away from it all" and connecting with old friends on an annual basis. Our 30th anniversary trip location could not have been nicer for a bunch of guys! Incredibly spacious accommodations with superior facilities and modern amenities! Nestled in the woods with a creek right in the back yard this lodge is a real luxury spot. The property manager Dave is exceptional! He is prompt and at the same time unobtrusive. He was a very good host from beginning to end. One suggestion to improve - Update the rental agreement to reflect your rule of wearing no shoes while in the house. Many of us would have brought slippers rather than walk around in our socks.

Beautiful, large home in the woods

My family and friends and I had an absolutely amazing long weekend at Allen Creek Ranch! The house is huge and perfect for a large group of multiple families—worked great for seven families (2-4 individuals/family)! All bedrooms, except the basement rooms, have their own bathroom which was very nice and convenient. Never did we feel cramped. So much space! The kids loved playing in the creek out back and all of us really enjoyed seeing the deer! Kelly (owner) was a great and timely communicator in all of our exchanges before we arrived. Dave (property manager/caretaker) was so friendly and helpful! He answered alllll our questions :) Such a wonderful weekend and we plan to return next summer!

Wonderful and Peaceful

I chose this location for it's remote location and peaceful setting. I brought a group of women for a Women's Retreat. Everyone loved the cabin and the property. It was well taken care of and the beds were super comfortable. We had everything we needed. The owners responded quickly when I had questions. I would definitely stay here again.

Since we got to the ranch until we left, the overall experience was great! The photos don’t make justice on how great this property is. As youth leaders, my wife and I are always looking for the best experience for our youth group when it is about spending time together. We have been hearing very positive feedback about the cabin and the time the youth spent together. Dave was great helping us at all times and Kelly was so helpful answering all questions during the booking process. We for sure will be looking forward for another stay at this property in the future Thank you! P.d. Would be nice to update the photos on the website with the latest condition of your property.

Amazingly Perfect Group Getaway

Initially when I was booking this lodge I was concerned with the amount of space available. However, when I first stepped into the cabin ALL of my worries were immediately wiped away. As someone who is concerned about forgetting something I was very surprised to find that everything was well stocked. Dave is the nicest property manager and helped with any concerns we had. It is very apparent that he cares for the property and wants to make sure his guests are comfortable. He exceeded our expectations and the property provided for a great amount of fun for my group. I have no doubt that anyone who stays here would return as I myself can't wait to come back!

Wonderful Place to Stay

Our group had an amazing stay at Allen Creek Lodge. The property was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Dave, the on site property manager was a great host who really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. One of our groups favorite things was all of the deer we got to see every night as they come in to feed. These were by far the largest bucks we had ever seen. We hope to come back and stay again in the future.

Simply Amazing

I don’t think I could rave more about our stay at the Lodge. From the time you enter the property you are blown away by the beauty. We gathered as a family for a memorial and so everyone could be together. The lodge provides ample space to be together, relax, and get away. The house was immaculate, updates, and all of the bathrooms made for a comfortable stay for everyone ;) Our family felt so blessed that we were able to gather in such a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing your property with others. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Perfect Family Getaway!

This beautiful lodge turned out to be the perfect family sanctuary for the weekend! With the busyness of life and the current pandemic situation, God led us to this wonderfully quiet place, just what everyone needed, enclosed with His creation in a unique way. It was super clean and over-the-top with supplies. Having private bathrooms with each bedroom was a dream, and the kitchen was a delight to work in. Plenty of dining space, lounging area and play space for the children. Thank you for providing such a great spot for people to enjoy!

Excellent getaway!

Perfect place for our family as we just needed a long weekend to be together with no distractions. Not a lot of things close by but that’s ok. Silver lake is 40 minutes away. The quiet evenings watching deer was amazing. Dave was a great property manager and took care of everything we needed. Communication with the owners was great. Property was as we expected and more. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Allen Creek Lodge in the past and fell in love with the lodge and property. We look forward to our family creating many memories here. In the off-season we love to have families enjoy our lodge and we offer deer hunts from September to December.
