If I could give this place 10 out of 5 stars I would! It was everything our family of 5 needed. Opening the windows in the morning with a cup of coffee, watching the train and cable car pass and the tourists off on their hikes can’t be beat! The family area was perfect for a cozy movie night when it was a rainy day, along with the snuggle throw blanket provided. Everyone slept great in the beds with crisp clean linens. The mudroom entrance is a perfect design for hanging up wet clothes and instantly starting laundry. We were only there for a few hours and I was already to boom again! The other great part of this rental is the incredible online resource of all needed info. Bonus - The main office held our bags on the day of check out so we could have a final day to explore the mountains.

Check in was easy. The video sent on how to find the office to pick up the key was perfect. It also gives you a small glimpse into the town when you arrive. The hill up towards the house is steep when rolling suitcases but you can also pay a luggage taxi if you don't want to haul it up. The house is exactly like the pictures and worked perfectly for us. The washer/dryer is a bit confusing and very small. The dryer takes a REALLY long time so I wouldn't depend on it. The kitchen is great and nicely stocked with pans/utensils etc. The windows are operable to cool off the space but there are no screens so it was tough to keep out flies. There were a few toys that my 7 yr old loved to find. Check out was well laid out and easy as well. Overall great experience.

Charming and convenient

The apartment was spacious and very well equipped. We loved the location on the ski slope into town. The beds were in comfortable and the draperies in the bedrooms provided good privacy. The very large and private entryway allowed us to keep our gear organized and clean with the private laundry just to the side. Julie and her team did a great job helping usthe apartment. We loved being on the slope and the rural environment. If you are sensitive to farm activities, this might not be the best choice or if the grooming equipment would bother you at night.

Spacious and modern

The property is quiet, spacious and well stocked. The appliances were new and modern. Because they were so modern, I had trouble figuring out how to use them. The only hard part was the walk from the train station, as it was an uphill walk.

Paradise Found

Chalet Sole 1 is probably the nicest and best equipped rental we have ever stayed in. The floor plan great. The bathrooms are beautiful with great shower pressure. The nice entry room where you enter is a great spot for taking off shoes or skis. The laundry room is awesome and got a lot of use. While it is an uphill walk from the train station it is less than ten minutes. We love Wengen and have been here several times, but will definitely be back to this unit. Wengen Apartment was great to work with and very professional. Nothing!

Nestled in the Alps

Wengen is a great little town to use as a launching spot to explore all the towns dotted around the area. Chalet Sole had everything we needed, including an outdoor patio area. Rooms were spacious and common areas could easily fit six. We even used the community public pool which was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this chalet for family and/or friends to stay.

Chalet Sole had my soul!! Located just up from the train station, home was perfect for our group of 6. All one level, with washer/dyer, it was the perfect stay after a week on the road. Great communication with rental agency.

Superb Apartment

Spacious, well equipped, directly at the slope and just a few minutes walk from all other infrastructure (station, supermarket, ski school…). Very quiet and clean. We felt at home and would love to return!

The house was very well equipped. Very comfortable and good location. We would definitely stay there again. Just one warning, do not leave toys on the lawn outside. The kid's toys were taken over night.

Spacious and nice Apartment, well equipped in excellent location

The Apartment is directly at the slope and has magnificent views over the beautiful buildings of Wengen and some surrounding mountains. You can see the railway and the cable car but it's far enough not to hear both. To the station, the supermarket, the ski school, rental service and so on it's just a 10 Minute walk (or 2 Minutes by ski as You start the day out on skis heading for the Männlichen-Bahn). We felt very welcome in the warm and cozy and spacious apartment. Probably one of the best features when traveling with children is the huge room behind the entrance where You leave all the ski boots, ski, Jackets, Shoes... You have the room for Your own and don't have to share it with other apartments in the house. You can feel that the owners are a family that use the apartment for themselves and not only for rent. The equipment is very high-quality. Everything works fine, everything we needed was there. Everything perfectly explained. The communication with Wengen Apartments was very smooth. We can highly recommend the apartment and already booked for next year.

Es hat in der Wohnung an nichts gefehlt. Die Lage ist für Wengen gut, im Winter kann man bis vor die Haustür fahren (auf Skiern).

Great mountain town

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Wengen at Chalet Sole. Directions and support provided by Julie was phenomenal and check in was easy. Everything we needed was provided. I would stay again in a heart beat.

Gorgeous apartment, very spacious & very clean & well-maintained!

Loved the space—large & bright, with two full bathrooms & very nice 3 bedrooms. The kitchen was also very nice & well-appointed. Loved this place—highly recommend! Julie was wonderful to communicate with!

Perfect for our family!

Spacious, airy, well-constructed apartment with lovely views and well-equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer in utility room very handy (although directions for use were poor, & elastic on my jacket cuffs & collar was ruined). Two bathrooms were great for 6 of us. One criticism is inadequate marking. Most other apartments in that neighborhood had names displayed on the building, but Sole does not. We had to go up a steep walkway to the door to read it on the paper there. Speaking of "steep", we were not ready for the climb from the village to apartment, being from the flat Midwest US. It does get one in shape! Buried in fine print that we had to search for after-the-fact, at the time of booking, HomeAway takes 2% above the cost you think you are paying, then another extra $102 later (don't remember what they said this was for), and we felt this is devious. Booking,com wraps their fee into the stated amount and charges exactly what they say. HomeAway gets a poor rating from us, while Wengen apartments get the highest.

Chaming chalet, super location

Really lovely chalet - elegant and cosy, beautifully designed and furnished. Especially enjoyed the modern open-plan kitchen/dining room, easy access to the pretty garden, and super comfy sitting room complete with sheepskin rugs and woodburner. And when you do go outside, the location is perfect: as well as being super close to the slopes, it's a pleasant and easy 5 minute walk into the village. Loved it, will definitely be going back.

Charming chalet, super location

Really lovely chalet - elegant and cosy, beautifully designed and furnished. Modern and comfortable chalet.

Lovely modern and comfortable large ground floor apartment within a chalet. Great ski in and ski out straight from your own personal large boot/ski room, nice little ski trail down from the mountain via a bar in Allmend. Easy walk from the centre of Wengen and the station, also able to get a taxi from the station to the chalet with luggage if needed but we were able to walk easily with snowboard and luggage. Car free apart from the odd taxi etc so nice to wander around. Lovely views of the surrounding area and Wengen itself. Garden area with the chalet to sit in and watch the sun set with a nice glass of wine.

Spacious chalet, fantastic ski in/ski out location

Beautiful, spacious and modern chalet with cosy alpine features. A perfect location - ski in and out and just a short stroll to the town, train station and nursery slopes for the beginners. Impeccably clean with a very well equipped kitchen. The management were efficient and easy to deal with. There was a good supermarket just a short walk away and we found a lovely little wine bar for evening drinks. Will definitely be visiting again.

Amazing, feels like home in the mountains!

This is an amazing flat, its close to the town where there are great shops and restaurants, a 5 minute walk to the train station and you can literally ski to your front door. It feels like home and has everything you need and more. A real find.
