This house was an absolute gem! Close enough to be convenient to all the area offers but secluded enough to have a great sense of privacy.The house was immaculate and very well appointed. The communication with the host was flawless and the entire check-in and check-out process could not have been smoother.I highly recommend this place and will come back if we ever come to visit Glacier again

Very hospitable, had all the dishes and coffee and firewood we would need including condiments as well which helped a ton during our stay. Beautiful property, secluded, trails you can walk. Would 100% stay here again.

Highly recommended if you’re visiting Glacier, this property would be just 15min away to the West Entrance.And our host Kate is the lovely host, she made the check-in process really easy and the house is so clean and comfortable.

Absolutely perfect base for exploring Glacier National Park—just 15 minutes from the West Entrance! After long days of hiking, we loved coming back to cook supper in the well-equipped kitchen. Evenings were spent enjoying the closet full of board games and gathering around the bonfire. Our host was responsive, thoughtful, and made check-in seamless. The house was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Glacier!

The house was perfect for our girls trip to Glacier. It was clean and well stocked with all that we would need to both enjoy staying at the house and exploring the area. Great location and easy to get to all the places we wanted to go. Thanks for a great experience.

We had a great stay! The location was ideal for our visit to Glacier National Park and Whitefish, and the house lives up to its stellar reviews. It’s clear that the owners have great attention to detail. The house had everything we needed plus some extras that showed their thoughtfulness (a starter stick of butter—so nice to have for a short stay!).

Gorgeous Stay in Glacier!

Everything about this house was perfect! The location made it easy to access GNP, get to the grocery store, and visit Columbia Falls and Whitefish. Kate, the host, was so thoughtful and accommodating. She gave us directions for the most scenic route to Glacier, and she's thought of everything you need/want for a stay at GNP. The property is gorgeous and so clean! Check in and check out instructions were clearly communicated and super-easy! We highly recommend staying at the Hillside House!

Kate was the ultimate hostess and the house has a peaceful mountain charm. We were visited by wild turkeys and deer. The beds were so comfortable and the inside fireplace kept us all warm. We hiked the trail behind the house and made smores in the fire pit. The folks in the community are friendly and i could just go on and on about how amazing our stay was.

Family trip end of May

The Hillside House was our home away from home for 5 days, 4 nights at the end of May. It had everything we needed and was close to the parks. The seclusion was delightful. We are so thankful to fit our family of 5 with plenty of room for everyone. Our 3 kids are now adults and we enjoyed our time together. Kate was very friendly and accommodating. Excellent place to stay!

This was one of the best experiences we had staying at a Vrbo house. The house was beautiful and spacious. It was a great location to the national park. The host Kate was very good at communicating. We will recommend this house to anyone who goes to Glacier!

Wonderful stay

Kate was so helpful from checking in to checking out. She came out and left the lights on and the garage open to help us check in easier since we did not get in until late at night. She even offered a ride to the airport on the last day if we needed. We got to try some huckleberries she picked around the property.House was very clean and spacious and kitchen/laundry was well stocked. We were about 20 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park and there were coffee/breakfast places on the way to the park. Would visit again!

Access to Glacier Area

This is a great home located near the west side park entrance. Three bedrooms, three baths, and a garage for the car. This is a bear area and bear spray is provided for guests as well. The only issue we had at all was the bathroom for the two non-master bedrooms tended to clog easily (there are plungers available). Very convenient and great hosts.

Fantastic stay

House was immaculate, owner was extremely generous and a great communicator. The location was perfect to get between Kalispell and the Park. For the value, you can’t beat this house!

John and Kate reside at Abbott Valley Homestead, just a quarter-mile from the Hillside House. John works in Glacier National Park and Kate's family moved to this part of Montana in 1948. They are happy to share their local knowledge of the area with you.

Plus you can easily explore the rest of the NW MT with multiple day trips in various directions.
