En la costa norte de Kauai, Haena Hale se sienta detrás de puertas de madera y entre el paisaje tropical de un lote privado de medio acre (2023m2). Con espectaculares vistas de Bali Hai (Mt. Makana) y a un corto paseo de la playa de Tunnels (Makua), Haena Hale invita a los huéspedes a sumergirse en un auténtico estilo de vida isleño.

Esta escapada de 3 dormitorios y 3 baños está bañada de luz natural y cuenta con un amplio lanai envolvente, perfecto para la vida interior / exterior. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama extragrande de California y baño privado con ducha de piedra. El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama queen-size. El amplio tercer dormitorio puede alojar hasta seis personas y tiene un baño adjunto.

La ducha al aire libre de Haena Hale te refresca después de un día de senderismo por los acantilados de la costa de Na Pali o una tarde de natación en el azul océano Pacífico. Tome un viaje de 10 minutos a lo largo de la costa y por varios puentes de un solo carril de regreso a Hanalei, famoso por su bahía en forma de media luna y el encanto de un pueblo pequeño. The home was very spacious for ten people even on a rainy day when we couldn’t go outside. You never felt like you were on top of each other. This home is loaded with everything you could need in the kitchen to cook big meals for your family. Downstairs you have everything you could need for your trips to the beach. The beach is a short walk from the house. It is beautiful and no one around for miles however November is the start of the winter season with big waves and it made that beach extremely dangerous for swimming. We couldn’t go in the water but you aren’t far from other beautiful beaches where you can snorkel and swim. If you are looking for a quiet spot away from the hustle and busyness this is your place. We loved this rental and would love to stay here again.

The bunk room was the perfect place for all the cousins. The beech walk was easy although this time of year the waves are pretty intense. About a mile down to the north there is a great area for snorkeling though. The host brought us a new blender same day the old one broke.

Peaceful Retreat

Has everything you need for the beach (boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, wagon, beach towels). Home is short walk to quiet beach which I saw 2 turtles. .6 miles to Tunnels beach which spent an entire day there - GORGEOUS. 10 min to coffee shop and restaurant/bar. 12 min drive to Hanalei town with many cute shops and restaurants and tour activities. Hope to come back soon and stay here.

No set of keys inside as they said there would be. No big deal. Nice setup. Hot tub was gross/warm (not hot) and the breaker kept tripping so couldn’t make it work.

Great Place for Kauai!

Nice place, plenty of room, beds comfy, deck space is great, location is perfect. Bit hard to find at nite when you first arrive, but once you know where it is, no problems. Recommend highly!

Incredible retreat

We absolutely loved this house- we were originally a little concerned by the treehouse right next door and it was hard to get a sense of how well that would work. It was fantastic- whoever stayed was very quiet and we hardly saw them. All the lanai for the big house are on the other side too. The house was very clean and spacious- the bunk room is actually a separate room which worked great- our kids stayed there. The house is so well stocked- from the kitchen to beach gear to cleaning supplies. The beach is a short walk away- we also walked to tunnels Beach (very close by) and hanalei colony resort for coffee and dinner multiple times. Would absolutely stay again.

Loved this property and was perfect for our vacation. Walking to the north shore beaches is so nice as it’s the most beautiful beaches.. in my opinion.. to be close to. Just a lovely stay and didn’t want to leave.

Haena vacation in Kauai

The property is wonderful and the design and layout of the space and buildings makes it a great choice for families with different age groups. My wife and I and step-son and his wife stayed in the main home while their two-year-old daughter slept in the bunk house, just steps away via a connected walkway. The two buildings are attached by a large porch area. So the outdoor dining area adjacent to the kitchen and in front of the bunk house could not have been better. The beach which is a 5 to 10-minute walk away is a nice sandy beach. The house was close to a half dozen beaches and each one seemed better than the one we went to the day before. The big unfortunate about the area in Haena where the house is located is the local dog. Three nights I was awoken in the middle of the night by a dog which barked for 90 minutes or sometimes more. A bummer. I spoke with the property manager concerning this and they were very communicative concerning our problem, but the humane society is the only group which can act on such disturbances and while I voiced my concerns about this poor dog, I can't say for sure anything was done about it. It was a great trip, it seemed that the week was much longer and we plan to return to Kauai din the near future. Thank you Makana!!

Great Space

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of 8 adults found Haena Hale very comfortable and relaxing! Plenty of space to either be together or get away from eachother. Great kitchen for cooking family meals and comfy beds all around! The house is very remote- which was a gamble in the winter, but I knew that going in. No one can control the weather- so come prepared. We endured a heavy rain storm that knocked power out for 2 hours (lanterns and flashlights were easily accessible in the house), flooded the road between Princeville and Hanalei- leaving us stuck temporarily (waters receded within 24 hours), and closed the Kalalau Trail (bummer, but we had the beach to ourselves). All restaurant and shops in Hanalei (save 2 or 3) were closed, so we were happy to have brought extra groceries with us. Once the rains subsided, we were rewarded with waterfalls galore! All part of the adventure towards the end of the road!

The estate is large and feels very comfortable and safe. The surrounding decks make it fun to walk around. The bathrooms were beautiful. The kids bunk room was really fun and the beds are more than large enough for 6 foot adults. The location of the home makes access to all my favorite places on Kauai easily accessible. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house for a family or even multi-family stay. Short walk to the tunnels beach. Beach gear included is pretty good. We’ll equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. But we arrived late evening due to a flight delay and the bunk room lock box code wouldn’t work. We found out the next day that we’d been given the wrong code. But there was no answer on any of the emergency numbers provided, including the ones provided on the answering machine messages, said to be specifically for after hours emergencies. After 30 minutes trying endless variations of the lockbox code to account for possible typos with no luck and no response on the emergency numbers it looked like half our party would be sleeping on the veranda couches, with rain absolutely pouring the whole night. Luckily my brother managed side a window open for the smallest in our party to squeeze through and we got in. Certainly not the experience we’d hoped for on arrival after a long and endlessly delayed day of travel.

Hale Ko’olau - a slice of paradise!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had the pleasure of staying at this home with my wife, two small kids and parents. The house was *very* clean and comfortable. The house has a great layout. The bathrooms are all remodeled and modern. The wrap around deck gives you tons of options to sit outside and the views off the front porch are amazing. We ate outside on the large, covered table every night. The yard is big enough for the kids to run around and is nicely maintained. The only thing to keep in mind is the bunk bed room is separate from the main house so a little tricky with small kids. The location is one of the best on the north shore. The closest beach is a 5 minute walk and beautiful, although not ideal for swimming. If you head to tunnels and the parking is full you can walk pretty easily. It’s a quick drive to all the best beaches on the north shore. We would absolutely go back to this house and recommend it to anyone!

Gorgeous, Private and Relaxing

Fabulous north shore location, only minutes from the beach and extraordinary sunsets. Quick walk to coffee in the morning and a meal in the evening. Also perfect to stay in and cook at home with well stocked kitchen, BBQ, great lanai and plenty of space for the whole family. Already planning our next visit !
