Super stay at the Eco House Tavilo

The house offers all you could wish for. We stayed with a family of five for two weeks in August. Beds were very good, as well as the equipment for the kitchen. On arrival we missed cushions for the beds at the swimming pool, but Antonio delivered them immediately on request. The only thing we would advise the owner is to make the living a bit more cosy (by hanging some paintings / reproductions on the walls for instance). If you drive any car bigger than a Fiat Panda, don’t try to approach the house through the village of Tavilo. Thank you Antonio, for your kind help.

Tolles Haus in wunderbarer, ruhiger Umgebung

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche in Tavilo. Antonio hat uns sehr freundlich abgeholt und uns den besten Weg zum Haus gezeigt, weil die Anfahrt durch den Ort mit großen Autos praktisch unmöglich ist. Es gibt aber einen guten Weg außen herum. Die Auffahrt zur Garage ist steil und mit großen Autos muss man mehrmals zurück setzen in den Kurven. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Auf der Terrasse kann man am Abend schön sitzen und aufs Meer blicken und am großen Tisch essen. Der Pool liegt schön neben der Garage, ist allerdings nicht beheizt und war im September deshalb etwas frisch. Es gibt Liegen am Pool, um in der Sonne oder im Schatten eines Sonnenschirms zu liegen. Didier und Antonio haben uns mit Information zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Gegend versorgt, die wir wir schöne Ausflüge genutzt haben. Sehenswert ist vor allem die keltischen Siedlung Castro de Barona, südwestlich von Noia, das Fisterra mit der Costa da Morte und natürlich Santiago de Compostela. Vom Haus aus kann man eine kleine Wanderung (ca. 6km) zur Küste und daran entlang machen. Den sandigen Strand kann man in nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub in einer noch nicht sehr überlaufenen Gegend. Vielen Dank an Antonio für den herzlichen Empfang und die vielen Informationen!

Tolles Urlaubsdomizil für Individualisten / Great holiday domicile for individualists

Englisch Version - see below! Ich schreibe selten Bewertungen - Tavilo House und insbesondere die Betreuung im Haus ist so besonders, dass ich das unbedingt schreiben muss. Wir waren zu viert im Haus - hätten locker Platz für 6 Personen gehabt. Betten toll / Badezimmer toll / Handtücher - alles sauber und neu. Die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll - insbesondere in der Küche (auch für anspruchsvolle Köche) für alles gesorgt. Es gibt einen gemauerten Grill, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Wir hatten zwei Oldtimer dabei - die Garage war perfekt. Ein großes Automatiktor lies uns und die Autos ruhig schlafen. Zum Meer - keine 10 Minuten zu laufen. Schöner Sandstrand mit Duschen und "Baywatch"-Betreuung. Gut für Kinder geeignet, sofern sie sich von kälterem Wasser nicht abschrecken lassen. Das Umland ist sehenswert, alle Leute super freundlich. Gut ist, ein bisschen Spanisch zu können (wenig Englisch / kein Deutsch) - klappt trotzdem (Hände, Füsse, zeigen....smile) Alles in allem ohne Einschränkungen weiter zu empfehlen. Antonio uns Didier - vielen vielen Dank. Wir kommen wieder! Versprochen! I rarely write reviews - Tavilo House and especially the care in the house is so outstanding that I absolutely have to write it. There were four of us in the house - there would have been plenty of room for 6 people. Beds great / Bathrooms great / Towels - everything clean and new. The furnishing is tasteful - especially in the kitchen (also for demanding cooks) everything is taken care of. There is a brick grill that leaves nothing to be desired. We had two vintage cars with us - the garage was perfect. A large automatic door let us and the cars sleep quietly. To the sea - less than 10 minutes to walk. Beautiful sandy beach with showers and "Baywatch" service. Well suited for children as long as they are not deterred by colder water. The surrounding area is worth seeing, all people super friendly. It's good to know a little Spanish (little English / no German) - but it still works (hands, feet, pointing....smile). All in all, it can be recommended without any restrictions. Awesome views of Ria Noya.

The house is located out in the country up an interesting 1 track paved road. Very quiet and comfortable. No amenities nearby, but great base for exploring the coast, which is beautiful. Nice, intimate beach is short walk down the hill. House and beds are comfortable and new. Kitchen is nicely equipped and the market in Noya is Sunday and Thursday. Santiago is 30 minute drive and you can get in and out to see the city, but not be in it.

Lovely house with a great view in good location.

We enjoyed our stay at Tavilo (except it wasn't long enough!), the house was great, clean and well equipped. The view is simply stunning both during the day and at night. We were lucky with the weather and made the most of the terrace... we loved sitting in the dark listening to the owls and watching the bats during the evening. Antonio was cheerful and helpful and got in touch during the week to make sure we were happy with everything. The house is in a good location close to supermarket in Noia. Loved Noia's market on Sunday morning - a must to visit! Lots of great places to visit within easy reach. Wished we had had longer to be able to enjoy relaxing at this lovely house and visiting more of the area. We would happily visit again and would only ask for an update on the terrace furniture, which was a little wobbly, and a few more plates and bowls in the kitchen. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Beautiful villa in a great location

The Eco House in Tavilo has to be one of the best villas we have ever rented. Its immaculate throuout, and in a beautiful location. Didier and Antonio are perfect hosts, providing lots of local information. The villa is perfectly located for visiting Santiago and A Coruna, as well as making the scenic drive out along the Atlantic coast to Finisterra. Carnota beach is well worth a visit, and lunch at Casa Boto near Noia is a must.

Wonderful place - Excellent host

This house is fantastic and offers amazing views. It is only a short drive to great supermarkets where you can find everything you need. The beach is very close and the pool works great. The hosts Didier snd Antonio were amazing and really looked well after us. Certainly a recommendable experience. Thank you.!

A wonderful house - loved staying here.

Wonderful views, beautiful verandah and lovely swimming pool. We needed an iron and owner organised it. Needs a better ironing board. Hairy drive up to house! I would definitely recommend this house to stay in. Good hypermarket and petrol on the way in to Noia.

Séjour très agreable

Très jolie maison, confortable, bien équipée. Emplacement idéal pour visiter la Galice: Santiago de Compostelle, cap Finistère, Pontevedra.... Jolie plage à 10mn à pied. Quartier calme en pleine nature. Endroit idéal pour se poser et se reposer.

Fantastic Location: beaches, towns and tranquility

On the edge of a small Gallician village, steeped in history, a short walk to the local beach, a short drive to the hypermarket and surrounded by wonderful scenery, this was one of the best holiday homes that we have stayed in. A 30 minute scenic drive gets you to spectacular Atlantic white sand deserted beaches with great surf if you want it. The fishing villages on the way are full of cafes' and restaurant's that easily distract you, to say nothing of the old historic buildings. The home itself, is in a spectacular hill side location and looks fantastic. It is we'll kitted out, the air conditioning works well when it is needed and the fully filtered pool is very handy and private. The peace and tranquillity is wonderful, nature is on your door step, with civilisation at a handy arms length away. Galicia is unlike the rest of Spain, it is green, the local seafood is wonderful and the temperature's are not so extreme, but still high 20s and low 30s. We were lucky enough to meet Didier during our visit, his contacts and local knowledge were most useful. Derek and Julie August 2016
