This duplex served its purpose for the week. Beds were comfortable, plenty of space for four people. Kitchen was stocked for a small meal, washer/dryer work quickly, does have only a regular coffee pot (just an FYI for future guests) and dishwasher was a nice bonus. AC and heat work… yes, we had to use both. The home could use a little TLC. The floor is buckling in a couple places and the wood is splintering so be careful if you walk barefoot. Plenty adequate if you only intend to sleep! We would stay again.

We chose this place for the screened porch for our dogs. All of us loved spending time there and watching the wild life on the Canal. No alligators were observed! The kitchen was adequately equiped with items to make simple meals. I brought my crockpot. I appreciated the gate on the front porch also which kept the dogs from bolting down the stairs. Check in was easy! House was clean and smelled clean. Neighborhood was safe; we walked the dogs at night. Furniture was very comfortable as were the beds. The only drawback was carrying the dogs up and down the stairs but the younger kids helped with that. We really enjoyed the location and accomodations and would rent again.

Was not clean . Tubs would not drain . Porch lights were out, stairs very dark . Grill dirty , 2 burners on stove did not work , kitchen not fully equipped to cook . Blinds broke and dirty . Washer would not spin water out of clothes. AC went out Sat . We contacted owner and she scheduled a technician. We checked breakers , unplugged a few things and plugged them back in , 1 hour later AC restated, so technician was canceled .AC went out Sunday . Shonda again scheduled technician. They could not be scheduled until 5-9 pm, making where we went all day without AC. At that point we were frustrated and voiced this to Shonda . She was hateful and had no empathy that we would go all day without AC. Technician arrived , AC kept feeezing up due to cleanliness of filter . We did take pictures upon leaving since Shonda was so hateful . Beds comfortable Great location for walking to shops and beach

Great location! You can walk to the beach, souvenir shops, ice cream shops, coffee shops, and restaurants. It’s also easy to drive and park close to the beach. Grocery stores and amusement parks are very close by. Quiet neighborhood and ample parking. Easy check in process. We had a group of 7 and did need to get paper plates and cups as there’s not many dishes available.

Close to everything

Nice clean home. Canal provided some outdoor activities and kept the older kids busy. Kitchen had some useful items. The home is right in the middle of everything with excitement in walking distance. What little questions I had, the host answered promptly. Enjoyed our stay.

Great and convenient location for larger groups

We had family and friends coming in for a special occassion and rented both sides of the duplex. It worked out well for the size of the group and proximity to the beach and stores, restaurants and attractions. The home itself is older and a little weathered with minimal amenities and supplies but it is more than adequate and we enjoyed the affordability relative to other properties near the beach with similar capacity. Kids fished in the canal, we grilled using the charcoal grills and had a good time.

The location on the canal was peaceful and beautiful, offering easy water access and a relaxing atmosphere.Communication with the host was excellent—quick, clear, and super helpful. Every detail was taken care of, which made our trip completely stress-free. You can tell they really care about their guests having a great experience.We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Nice location dirty property

Floors were filthy including food and wrappers under the bed, socks, bare feet, even towels were black after being on the floor for a short period of time. Living room furniture was sticky with food in between cushions. Only two rolls of toilet paper. Bent/broken doors, broken toilet seat, and broken chair on the front porch.Overall appearance of property was unkept.

Just “ok”

The home was fairly clean, but really needed some maintenance. The main thing is absolutely no privacy in the living room at night. There’s a big sliding glass door with a 100% see through sheer covering it. It faces the street and anyone can see in. Overall it was just ok.

Gulf Shores letdown

This home is in a good area. Easy walking distance to the main area. Easy check in. Manager was prompt when contacted. However, the property needs some love and maintenance. Things like ripped screens on the back deck, grungy corners. On the whole this property needs some upgrading.

Everything fell into place. Host was awesome! Very thankful she has a pet friendly place people can take fur babies with you. Beach right across the road. Everything within walking distance Will definitely rent again.

This was our 1st time staying in Gulf Shores. The listing was not as pictured on Vrbo. Check in was a breeze you get everything a couple of days in advance that was a plus. On arrival When you 1st walk in, there was a very strong musty smell. As to proceed to enter we noticed the flooring was warped and damage to the flooring, closet door was dented in, sliding glass door in bedroom would not lock, the screen on the back deck was hanging.I contacted the owner she was able get maintenance out the next day. I went and got cleaning supplies to do some lite cleaning to try and get the smell out. We had intentions to grill but that was a no. The grill was nasty and rusty. The bedding was nasty did not smell clean. I rewashed everything we would be using as well as washed everything before we left to insure the next guest had clean sheets and towels. I could go on and on with things. At the end of the day I was just grateful to be with my family. If I was the owner I would definitely look into hiring a new cleaning service and maintenance. The gentleman that came out to look did say he knew the screen had been damaged but he hadn’t been there in a while. I’m not putting all the blame on the property owner. She hires ppl to do these things and if they don’t bring it to her attention she cant do nothing about it. The pillows need to be updated when stripping my daughter’s pillows it was nasty and orange.
