Luminoso, pequeño pero confortable apartamento con dos baños, uno con ducha, un dormitorio con cama doble y una sala de estar / cocina totalmente equipada con un sofá cama doble.
La sala de estar / cocina está equipada con mesa y sillas, sofá y TV LCD, estufa, horno, hervidor de agua y nevera.

Ubicado en el 4to piso, sin ascensor, se deben hacer unos 60 escalones.

Ideal para visitar el centro histórico de la ciudad con su fantástica catedral y los espléndidos jardines de Minerva.
Excelente punto de partida para visitar la costa de Amalfi con sus fantásticas ciudades (Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Maiori, Minori, Cetara, Erchie) y la costa de Cilento.

Historic Salerno

We quite enjoyed our stay at Donato's flat in Salerno. It's located right on the edge of the historic district, an easy walk to everything. The sea walk is close by, as are the cathedral and Minerva's Garden. There are many many restaurants nearby. Communication with Donato and his son, Roberto, was excellent. Roberto met us at the train station and took us directly to the flat. Now, there are some 76 stairs--we counted--to get to the fourth floor, and no elevator. It was no issue for us--part of the adventure!--but it could be for others. I got a kick out of the winding stairs and archways. Fun! The flat is quite quiet considering the very urban location. I'm noise-phobic and had no issues. We both slept very well. We had a great stay in Salerno, and quite happily recommend Donato's place as a home base.

Appartamento pulitissimo e ristrutturato, proprietari gentilissimi e molto disponibili , posizione fantastica in pieno centro storico.Le scale per raggiungerlo non sono delle piu' agevoli strette , ripide e gradini alti, per chi come noi e' arrivato con 2 bambini di piccoli e tutto l'occorente al seguito,sconsigliato per persone anziane

Great Location

This apartment was very clean and well equipped (except for a toaster). Bed was super comfortable. We were there when it was very hot temperatures outside and there is no air conditioning. There were however plenty of fans which helped cool things down at night. You have to be in pretty good shape to do the stairs. Owners were very kind, and quick to respond to any questions. A very handy grocery store is just steps away from the building. The location is perfect as it is in the heart of the historic district.

Perfekter Urlaub in Salerno

Das Apartment ist genau wie in der Beschreibung - sauber, ordentlich und mit allen "Kleinigkeiten" des alltäglichen Bedarfs ausgestattet. Sogar eine Waschmaschine mit Waschmittel gibt es. Einzig die Dusche ist ein wenig eng und ich würde sie nicht für sehr korpulente Menschen empfehlen. Die Wohnung hat zwar keine Klimaanlage, aber da es zwei gegenüberliegende Fenster in Bad und Schlafzimmer sowie ein bodentiefes Fenster im Wohn-/Essbereich kann man hervorragend durchlüften und hat einen angenehmen Durchzug. Die Lage ist ebenfalls optimal, direkt im Stadtzentrum gelangt man zu Fuß zu allen wichtigen Anlaufstellen und hat den perfekten Ausgangspunkt, um Salerno und die Amalfiküste zu erforschen. Zu guter Letzt: Roberto ist ein super lieber und zuvorkommender Vermieter. Er hat für uns eine Garage für das Auto in der Nähe reserviert und uns dort abgeholt und beim Gepäck geholfen. Ansonsten war er auch immer zuverlässig und schnell erreichbar, wenn wir Fragen hatten. On Top: Ich habe tatsächlich mein Portmonee bei unserer Abreise in der Wohnung vergessen und erst in Deutschland bemerkt. Roberto hat es gefunden und mitsamt dem wichtigen Inhalt (u.a. Führerschein und etwas Geld) an mich gesendet. So viel Bemühungen und Ehrlichkeit wünscht man sich überall! Danke für einen wundervollen Urlaub :)

Description not accurate

Very hot! It was our fault for missing that there is no air conditioner. But I’m very surprised that owners thought renting it out in June was ok. During the night we opened windows, but it was not a temp comfortable until late at night. The light and loud noise from street could not be blocked out. The neighborhood at entrance was disgusting trashy, literally. The picture on VRBO was angled to look larger, and it was very cramped. Shower is tiny, you better be skinny. Too hot to relax in room.

An excellent base to explore the Amalfi coast

Salerno is a beautiful city. This apartment is situated in its heart. Donato was so kind to meet us at the station, otherwise it would have been a little bit difficult to find it. In the apartment you have everything that you need for a stay of one week in our case. It is situated between the two ferry harbours - 15 minutes walk. It is the same distance to the rail and bus stations. Around the apartment you can find very pleasant restaurants. To summarise: a very good appartment with an excellent situation and a kind and helpful host. We would gladly recommend this place!

Siamo stati ospiti di Roberto e Donato nello scorso weekend. Sono stati gentilissimi nel venirci a prendere alla stazione per accompagnarci nel centro storico. Massima disponibilità anche per quanto riguarda la flessibilità del check-in e del check-out. Roberto ci ha anche aiutato nel programmare alcune visite alle principali attrazioni di Salerno. L'appartamento è pulitissimo e ben arredato, ottimo per una coppia. Comoda la presenza di 2 bagni. Lo consigliamo e, sicuramente, ritorneremo.

Appartamento arredato con gusto, veramente pulitissimo e situato in una posizione fantastica a due passi da tutti i punti caratteristici di Salerno. Il proprietario si è dimostrato veramente gentile e disponibile prenotandomi anche il posto macchina in un garage nelle vicinanze... Tutta la famiglia, (moglie e figlio) si è trovata veramente bene durante il soggiorno. Sig. Donato grazie ancora per la squisita ospitalità....

Great Location - Fantastic Host, Attentive and Helpful!

Couldn't ask for a better location, safe and easy to get everywhere, great little grocery right next door if you want to eat in. They are upfront about no elevator, so if that is a problem keep that in mind, we could do the stairs. The main pedestrian walking area is only a few steps away. We were able to walk to the train station on our way out of town, only a 15ish minute walk. Roberto our host was very helpful with any questions we had and was available if we needed him. If we go back to Salerno we would definitely consider staying here again! 5 star location and host!

Great apartment in a perfect location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The apartment is very nice, full of natural light, and located in the heart of the beautiful historic district of the city (but on a small street so it's not too loud or busy) just a couple blocks to the lovely Lungomare di Trieste. Donato was very friendly and responsive and went above and beyond as a host, helped us to reserve garage parking for our rental car, and waited at the garage for us to arrive so that he could walk with us to the apartment.

A Wonderful Apartment In The Heart Of Old Salerno

Our great holiday in Salerno was even better having stayed in Donato's cozy, comfortable, & fully equipped apartment that was so conveniently located in the center of city's Old Town. This little gem was just minutes away from fine restaurants, a quaint outdoor market, the beautiful Duomo, the train station, and the lovely seaside promenade situated midway between the city's two ports. Donato's son Roberto was a simply wonderful host. Not only did Roberto provide us great insight into all the local sites and give us tips on how to best visit the Amalfi Coast, he also picked us up from and dropped us back off at the train station while helping to carry our luggage each time. Thank you Roberto and Donato for enhancing our Salerno experience!! Al & Ursula

Beautiful, convinient, central home with a wonderful host

This place was right in the middle of central Salerno and had easy access to all of the major attractions while managing to be quiet and peaceful. Quick walk to the beach, Minerva gardens, Salerno Catherdral, ferry stations, train stations, and the shopping center! Our host was so friendly and even offered to pick us up from the train station at 21:30 and drive us to the place! Thank you for this wonderful stay.

Cute clean apartment right in the center

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and were very very pleased with our stay in this lovely apartment. Leading up to our stay we had very quick responses from the owner who helped coordinate parking and all of the details. Once we arrived we were surprised in a wonderful way just how central this apartment was. It's right in the center, within waking distance to shops, restaurants, pedestrian streets, the train station, and the 2 ports for day trips to the Amalfi coast and Capri. You do not need a car to see the attractions due to the location. We took a train to Pompeii and the ferries to Amalfi where we saw Ravello as well, and Capri. The owner was very accommodating and offered to assist with anything while we were there. He gave us such a good check in with wonderful information and pamphlets that we didn't take him up on it but you can tell he genuinely was wanting to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I definitely recommend this apartment and have only but fantastic things to say! Thank you so much!

Perfect stay in Salerno!

Very nicely decorated, well equipped and functional apartment within commuting distance to all Amalfi coast attractions. Apartment is right in the historical centre of Salerno – grocery shop across the street, a few steps to the shopping promenade and many good restaurants, 15 minutes to the train station and the ferry. The hosts ( Annachiara and Donato ) are very friendly and helpful - they picked us up from the bus station and drove us to the apartment. Excellent communication before and during our stay. We used this location to discover the Amalfi coast and travel to the Paestum ruins and the fantastic beaches in the area. Highly recommended!

Alles was man braucht

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr zu empfehlen! Alles ist sauber, modern eingerichtet und man hat alles was man braucht ( Küche mit aller Ausstattung, Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen, super WLAN, 2 Toiletten um.). Ein Supermarkt ist direkt um die Ecke und durch die perfekte Lage in der Altstadt ist man sofort mitten im Stadtleben. Der Kontakt zum Inhaber war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich. Er hat uns auch eine Garage für unser Auto organisiert und uns mit Gepäck bis zur Ferienwohnung gefahren, da die Gassen hier sehr eng sind. Super nett und toller Service! Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Great Base for Amalfi Coast

Very nice apartment with all the necessities and great Italian vibe. In the center of historic Salerno around restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. Big enough for three people, has a small kitchen and very nice two bathrooms. I would definitely stay here again!

Un propriétaire formidable pour un appartement formidable

Un grand merci à Roberto pour son accueil, sa flexibilité (nous avons changé notre horaire d'arrivée la veille), sa disponibilité (renseignements par sms durant notre séjour). L'appartement est idéalement situé au centre ville de Salerne, nous avons tout fait à pieds. Les courses, la plage, même les visites en prenant les bus à la gare qui se trouve non loin de l'appartement. Appartement impeccable, les lits faits en arrivant. Formidable. Really is a home away from home in Salerno

The aparment, as the title suggests, is in the historical centre of Salerno. Surrounded with good restaurants, old small shops, museums, historical buildings, promenade, market and traditional italian atmosphere. Probably at the best location to discover the town. It is also close to transportation if someone would like to explore the Amalfi coast or other regions. Marina is 15min (boats to Amalfi or Positano), train station 10min (Naples about 40min), buses also close by. The apartment is clean, comfortable and quiet. The owner and his family is very friendly, helpful and flexible. Good communication. We had a really nice, relaxing few days there. I can only recomend this place and Salerno to travelers who looking for a less touristy destination just a step from the Costiera Amalfitana.
