Not the best trip we've had

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pictures are outdated the view of the mountains now has trees blocking the view. One of our wash rags smelled liked poop it was disgusting I almost threw up from the smell. The showers need something added to the bottom to stop the risk of slipping and falling. My husband slipped and caught himself but pulled a muscle in his arm. Also our shower didn't have the step anymore to help get in like the one upstairs. Was very hard getting in and out of. Applying my 10% discount i was given a hard time stating i needed to call right away to add it but there isn't anything stating that at time of booking. Couldn't use the fireplaces cause they were out of propane.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was very clean and large, great views from the balconies. Cabin also had a pool table and poker table with chips. All of these amenities were downstairs next to a wet bar. The rental advertised a community pool, but it was cloudy and dirty, so we decided not to swim. We chose this rental for the pool, so that was disappointing. But overall, this is a great cabin and location was very easy to get to. We will use Elk Springs Resort in the future!

The cabin was spotless and had a wonderful setup so everyone has their own bedroom and bath. The only thing we noticed was that the upstairs shower drain was slow and the main level bathroom sink drain was slow too. Otherwise, we loved the cabin and we loved the game room with the arcade and pool table.

Reviewer Comments: The cabin was nice, the view was rocking and the vibes were popping The bubbles in my bathtub were very relaxing and as was the quiet wilderness I was surrounded by. I didn't see any bears and the view was ruined by the hurricane and torrential rain coming through but they should not detract that this was a green cabin and an experience everyone should try at least onceI got called by management to make sure I was okay as I was walking into the great bear general store and it made me feel special but this happened twice as the rains attacked my little head, they made sure everyone was aware of the storms and had everyone take precautions.Getting to the cabin was scary because I got lost in the dark on a back mountain road with no lights and I thought I was going to be attacked by mountain men

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Company had good communication. We should have checked the location better when booking. It was quite aways out and wasn’t a quick trip to get back and forth to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. View is starting to become obstructed due to the natural growth of trees. Had some issues that the company communicated with us. Cleanliness was hit and miss. The pool had not been open for quite a while. It is a close drive to the arts and craft community. The description of the layout is correct. There are 16 stairs to the top floor and 16 to the lower level. But easy access to the main floor that had a king bedroom:bathroom and access to the deck. The basement was a perfect place for the teenagers to hang out. Pool table, arcade game, poker table and hot tub gave them plenty to do!

A Swing...and a Miss.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We suggest you look elsewhere for a cabin in this area.This cabin is a 12-minute drive from the main highway along a narrow road with several blind curves. The drive up is quite stressful. We were informed the day of our arrival that the dishwasher was broken and would not be fixed. Then, we found out that the dryer's lint trap was broken...leaving a hole in the back of the dryer for which small items could fall through. We chose to stay at a cabin instead of a hotel so that we would have access to things like a dishwasher and dryer. I contacted Elk Springs and asked for recompense and the only thing they offered was for a stranger to come out and attempt to fix the dryer. We did not want a stranger in our cabin during our stay.The cabin itself was not in the best shape. Including the two broken appliances, some of the gutters were clogged. Some of the boards on the deck had been replaced...but not stained/painted to match the rest. The light in the refrigerator indicating it is time to change the water filter was on. The shower head in the bathroom on the lower level was mostly clogged.It was clear that the cabin had only been given a cursory cleaning before our arrival. Even though check in was at 3 pm, we were told our cabin was ready early. I would have rather they spent all the way up until 3 pm cleaning the unit. The floors were dirty...our socks were filthy after walking around for a short time. The large panoramic windows had not been cleaned or de-webbed...obscuring the view. There were dried drops of liquid next to the bed upstairs. Underneath the coffee table and couch on the main level had not been swept.Regarding Elk Springs, we were told there was a community pool, but when we contacted them and asked where...they did not know. Instead, they gave me an address for a cabin that could be rented. They give you a code to enter the cabin, but do not explain how the lock works (it is not obvi

Our grandchildren were disapointed. It would have been nice to have had in the info. folder updated things to do in the area. We would stay at this location again.The property was in a good location to attractions.

The view was also stunning! Also a pretty good split between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Only complaint is the water pressure when taking a shower, but I’m sure it’s hard to obtain a good water pressure system in the mountains. 10/10 recommend!

Reviewer Comments: They had to come in after we got there because deck boards were rotten. The windows were dirty and webs all over the upper windows. Dirt in all the corners the bathroom cabinet had dust on all the areas. We have always been happy with elk spring resorts until this time the table still had a Christmas table runner . This cabin was not up to elk springs resort quality. We plan on coming 2 or 3 times a year but we are now looking at other options.

We have had wonderful experiences with this resort in our past, however, this particular trip was very disappointing. The cabin was not presented at the same level of comfortability as our prior visits. Other than that, the properties are beautiful, however, I was not very pleased with how the situation was handled by management. Because of this, we will not be utilizing this resort for future endeavors. So unfortunate.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family stayed in this cabin last month when we visited Tennessee. The cabin was beautiful and the view did not disappoint. The pictures are exactly how it looks in person. The cleaner was actually still cleaning the cabin when we arrived so we weren't able to check in til after 3:30. Upon checking in, we found bathing suit bottoms in the downstairs bathroom as well as some crumbs and a sock left behind on the floor. I brought this to their attention when I called customer service to inquire about the community pool which had a broken chair in it and I was told it was being worked on and out of order at the time. Wish we had known this prior as we had little kids who were looking forward to swimming. We did enjoy how the cabin was not a long drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There was a great little bakery/coffee shop on our way into Gatlinburg that I can't way to go back to!

Excellent information, help and patience with the reservation process. The cabin was great. However, the address given to me for the community pool was incorrect. There was a cabin with no pool at the address given to me. Upon many texts back and forth with Elks Springs they responded by saying they had never had that complaint and insinuated that I could not find a simple street address. I did find the pool the next day which was nearby at a different street but not in sight of the address given me. The pool was unkept and the water was green with algae. Not usable. The grandkids were disappointed. My biggest complaint is that the address had obviously not been verified by management therefore causing their representatives to give out wrong information. Not their fault. I reached out to Elks Springs after coming home but so far have received no communication that this matter has been resolved.

I have come here a many to this city and this has been the worst cabin I have ever stayed in.cobwebs greated us at the door. I would never rent from this company again.Staff wasn't helpful at all after I call. Ignored call.Bad experience
