A pocos pasos de la playa, "China Swan" es una casa de 3 niveles con una impresionante cubierta cubierta envolvente. ¡El porche es perfecto para ver el amanecer y el atardecer, así como los caballos salvajes locales!

La casa está ubicada a 3 millas de la playa desde donde termina el camino pavimentado en Corolla. ¡Se requiere un vehículo 4x4! Las condiciones de manejo en la playa varían cada hora dependiendo del tráfico, el clima y las mareas.

El nivel principal incluye gran sala, comedor, sala familiar con TV vía satélite, cocina y lavandería. Cubierta cubierta envolvente, solárium abierto y porche con mosquitero. Disfruta de las vistas desde la hamaca y el columpio del porche.

Nivel superior tiene 3 dormitorios. TV de pantalla plana en todas las habitaciones. El dormitorio principal tiene su propio baño y vistas al océano y al sonido. Un dormitorio con dos camas. Una habitación con reloj de barco ... ¡mira el amanecer desde la cama! Nivel superior también tiene baño completo con hidromasaje.

La sala de juegos en el nivel inferior con literas y sofá cama es ideal para toda la familia. El nivel inferior tiene medio baño, con ducha al aire libre.

We had a great vacation at this house. The house is spacious, comfortable, felt clean and well-maintained. The proximity to the beach, and the views of the beach from the house were phenomenal. We also saw horses right outside the house almost every day. We enjoyed playing the board games and doing the puzzles as a family every night. Communication with the host was also good. The downsides to the house for us were that the beds were small, the water pressure in the shower was weak, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen (we had to use ant spray and ant traps and keep all our food sealed up carefully), and the WiFi buffered a lot at night. But for us, these things were outweighed by the excellent location, fair price, amazing views, and spaciousness of the house. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great apart from a couple concerns regarding housekeeping. There was a dirty sock found in the front living room by the dining room table along with a past renters pair of sweatpants in a dresser upstairs.

This was our first time staying on the 4x4 beach and it was fantastic! The house was very clean and the owner was very responsive to my messages. The location was perfect - we saw horses everyday in the yard. It was a short walk/drive over the dunes to get to/from the beach. We were there with our 4 kids and DIL and we all had a great week! We will definitely be back!

Amazing Home away from Home

House is as beautiful as it appears. From the moment on entry you know you found a treasure. Everything exceptionally clean, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and linens, air conditioner works well. We had daily horses in our front yard munching away. Televisions in all bedrooms and living room with Direct Tv and Netflix (evening time Netflix can be a bit slow to stream due to DSL internet, but you are in a remote location so be patient!) Being a jeep owner absolutely LOVED beach driving and some exploring on the"roads" behind the dunes. Host was very quick to respond to any questions. The hammock on the front porch was heavenly!

A great place to get away

A very nice house and a great location if you want to get away from the main bustle. Just be mindful of the tides. There is a house on the beach that can cause access challenges when it is high tide. I would give communication with host more than 5 stars if I could. He was very outstanding both before and during our stay.

Corolla house

I questioned how clean the place was upon arrival it had a stale odor, there was a dirty wash cloth on the floor in the bathroom, the master bedroom spread had stains all over it. On our second day in the house 2 people showed up and stated they needed to check some thing. They never identified themselves. They walked right into the house. I called the owner and he said he didn’t know they were going. I told him that I would have appreciated a phone call. On another day my husband was in the shower and the water turned off. After he dried off he noticed a truck outside. He asked the guy what was going on. The guy informed him that he was changing the filter. Again no communication from the owner. The oven didn’t work. The best part of the vacation was the horses never disappointed, they were at the house every day. The wrap around porch was great and the kitchen was well equipped. I would not return to this rental

Beautiful week with the horses

We really enjoyed staying in this home. Driving on the beach to get to the house was fun and seeing the horses almost daily was such a treat. We'll definitely be back!

The house and location were perfect for our beach vacation! Wild horses, wide open beaches and the hammock added to the adventure. Hope to make this a yearly trip!

As promised, the horses didn’t disappoint. They made daily appearances right to our yard! The sand roads can be difficult to maneuver, especially at high tides. 4WD was a a must! Kitchen is very well stocked with any gadget or utensil you could possibly need. Beds were comfortable and bedding was clean and soft. Overall we had a great time relaxing, playing at the beach and enjoying our family time.

Great vacation

This was our first time driving on the beach and we loved it. House was nice and everything was clean. Note on the directions you can’t see mile marker 16 ( the state should have two of them up for each direction).

Great place to stay

We loved our stay in this location. The house was roomy and great for our family. The wrap around porch facilitated us being outside no matter which way the wind was blowing. Just a short walk over the dune and we were at the beach. Loved the wild horses in the yard or the area each day. Would definitely recommend

Trip of a lifetime!

This was the perfect location for a beach getaway! The house is footsteps away from the beach and not too far from town. We saw wild horses every day! It was a home away from home!

Great house- loved our stay

This was our first time to Corolla and we couldn’t have picked a better house. The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions. The size of the house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 2 kids, with plenty of extra space. The screened in portion of the porch was perfect on the rainy days. You can sit on the front porch and see the beach. We loved being able to walk a short distance to the waves. And the horses visited multiple times throughout our stay.

So So Beach vacation.

The location to the beach is great. If you love horses, this would be your house. However, with the horses at the house everyday, so are the horse tour trucks. You will sit on the porch with your morning coffee or dinner on the deck and the horse tour buggies will be right in front of your house looking at the horses. We questioned if the house was cleaned prior to our arrival. There was two welcome bags, one was filled with items for us, one was empty. There was sand on the floor, mind you, I made everyone take their shoes off before entering. Bedroom decorations were dusty. There were additional things I noticed through the week that just made me wonder. Also, there was garbage in the garbage cans under the house, obviously from the person staying there before us. By the end of our stay the smell was quite strong. One lamp needed a light bulb, for a box in the closet however it was empty. The master bedroom tv only had a DVD player and my son and I both attempted to make it work, I questioned whether the tv was even compatible with the DVD player. The tv in one of the other bedrooms had a large delay or would just shut off when you were trying to switch the channels. I don't go on vacation to watch tv but at the end of the day when everyone is exhausted from playing on the beach all day, chilling out is kind of nice. The "beach chairs" were old school lawn chairs and the boogie boards were broken.

Great Vacation Property

We really appreciated how well equipped this property was for our needs. The local horse herd was present all week, and the beach was not over crowded. A 4-wd vehicle and a tire pressure gauge is necessary for driving on the beach road to the house.

Family Vacation OBX

My family and I absolutely loved this home. We love the location, the fact that you have to drive on the beach to get there made the trip so much more exciting. We loved being able to park our vehicle on the beach and setting up chairs and blankets for the day. The hosts were so easy to communicate with...any questions were answered no matter how silly. My family will definitely be back and now my friends are begging me for the link to plan their next family trip. I could write on and on about how wonderful this house is but really you should book, stay, and see for yourself. Trust me...it'll be a decision that you won't regret!!!

Perfect location to relax and enjoy the 4x4 beach

My family and I couldn't be more pleased with this house and it's location. The size of the house was perfect for our family of five to spread out to have our own personal space but to enjoy family time together as well. The beach was in close proximity to walk if we didn't want to drive. The best part of staying at this house was waking up every morning to watch the wild horses minus the horse tours stopping in front. We could have done without them. Overall, the house fit our needs. Our teenagers love the downstairs area to "hang out" and we loved the porches to drink our coffee in the mornings. We definitely will rent again!
