A week in Uzes

Regine and Richard are the perfect hosts and we were privileged to spend a week in their delightful house. We couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful and well equipped place to stay and explore the area around Uzes. From lunch in the Place aux Herbes (make sure to reserve a table with the man with the orange spectacles) at La Fontaine, the market in Uzes, lunch in Lussan (a hidden gem) and the brocante at Barjac - such a lovely area and a real week to remember. Dinner under the stars on the terrace and shooting stars as the backdrop made for a magical stay.

Beautiful house, pool and garden in perfect setting

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful home which more than lived up to our expectations. Great sized house for our family of 8 with superb sized pool, well equipped kitchen and air conditioning. Location couldn’t be better, the house is in a very quiet location yet it is only a 15 minute walk into the town and only 5 minute walk to a boulangerie and a well stocked little supermarket. Very good personal contact with the owners, Regine and Richard who also replied to all queries very promptly. Cannot recommend highly enough and hope to return one day.

Family holiday

Lovely property in good location. However, nowhere to store clothing in two of the bedrooms. The bedroom with pull out bed is too small for two adults, fortunately we had children sleeping in that bed. Therefore I don’t believe this should be advertised as sleeps 8 as is misleading. In addition we were charged for a water mark on a rug that was not able to be normally cleaned. It is unfair to have precious items in a rental then claim they can’t be cleaned due to their delicate properties. We have now been stung with a large bill for the repair. In addition the owner complained we had left the sun lounger cushions out when we were given no instruction on where to leave them. We followed all other requests, such as watering the plants, putting the parasol down in windy conditions. This has sadly meant I would never book with them again. I hope this doesn’t happen to any other future guests as it felt very unfair.

To clarify, the downstairs room is an additional space, as stated in the listing, and may not be ideal for two adults. (cf picture) Regarding the sunbeds, they should be brought inside when it rains, as indicated in our welcome booklet. As for the rug, it is indeed a valuable piece, as this is our primary residence, decorated with care to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. We simply ask that it be treated with the same consideration as one’s own home. In case of any incident, we kindly ask that you inform us. We appreciate your stay and your insights. Un petit coin de paradis

Quelle villa ! Beaucoup d'espaces a l'intérieur ainsi qu'a l'extérieur, la location encore plus belle en vrai ! On s'y sent rapidement comme chez soi. Très bien équipée et sur tous les plans ! Proche centre ville, encore un plus. Merci encore a nos hôtes pour cette sublime semaine.

Wonderfull

We enjoyed our stay from the beginning until the end. With a great swimming pool, great house and great surroundings for sightseeing. Also the communication and check-in was good and personal. We would recommend this and for sure we will return in the future.

Stylish villa, great location.

We had a lovely week at Richard and Regine’s house . The interior is very stylish, good quality, comfortable beds and air con through out. The pool was amazing 10 x 5 and just the right temperature. Our three teenagers really loved all the inflatables that were available for us to use. The house it’s self is in a quiet location on the edge of town but is walking distance to the centre with all it’s wonderful restaurants, bars and market. Great communication with Richard at all times. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful house. The

Super séjour en famille

Super semaine dans cette superbe maison décorée avec goût. La maison est très bien équipée et pratique. Le jardin et la piscine sont sans vis à vis, très calme. Les propriétaires ont été disponibles et très sympathique.

Fantastic house, gardens and pool and lovely owners

We know Uzes fairly well and love it but this was our first time in this fantastic house and it surpassed all our expectations. The house is a beautiful and well-looked after family home with absolutely everything you could need, including air conditioning. The pool was fantastic and the size and location of the garden means that you aren’t at all overlooked and don’t have to feel self conscious about kids making lots of noise despite being in such a quiet and peaceful spot. It’s a convenient 15 min walk into the centre of town but there is a great boulangerie and a very well-stocked small supermarket just a 5 minute walk away on the way in. The owners were absolutely lovely, met us on arrival and replied to all communications we had both pre- and during our stay incredibly promptly. We really hope to return soon.

Maison parfaite

Maison au top pour une semaine avec amis et enfants. L'intérieur est très agréable surtout avec la clim! Maison très bien équipée. Extérieur super avec grande piscine sécurisée, balançoires, barbecue et grand jardin pour les enfants. N'hésitez pas car en plus maison à 15 minutes à pied du centre.
