I highly recommend choosing the Petersen Cottage in Pine Valley!! Everything was as advertised and more! When we arrived, Mitzi (Owner), had provided us with Hot Chocolate for the kids and baked goods with heating instructions in the fridge. The Cottage is beautiful, comfortable, and clean! You will not regret choosing this place for your next vacation!

This is the beautiful cabin with all the amenities you could ever want. The wonderful deck was the perfect place to sit outside, read books and enjoy the wild life. We will definitely be back.

This cutesy little cabin was so nice! Rooms were nice & bathroom was spacious. Living room and kitchen were a great size. Our favorite part was waking up in the morning and sitting on the deck and looking at all the trees. Amazing property. Would recommend for a little getaway. We also a ton of deer!

The Petersen Cabin was fantastic. Mitzi was an amazing host even left my father and I farm fresh eggs and bread as a welcome gift. There are excellent kitchen facilities and a grill. The kitchen even has spices available for guest use. We have never been more relaxed and comfortable on a hunting trip. If you draw a tag in pine valley this is an excellent place to stay! It is even nicer than the photos!

Cabin in the pines

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin that was decorated so cute. It is clean and the owner was sweet to make sure everything was ready for our arrival. Even left some yummy muffins to enjoy.

Beautiful Cottage

This property is an amazing place to stay. The property itself is very comforting and the hosts do a great job making sure you have everything you need to feel comfortable and more. Location is great for nearby trails but you could easily spend your days at the house and be quite content watching animals in the yard or looking at the stars in the evening. Only note - there is a fire ban in the county it is located in so outside bonfires are not curre tly permitted.

Wonderful Stay at Peterson Cottage over 4th of July. We had an unforgettable stay at Peterson Cottage in Pine Valley over the 4th of July holiday. The location is perfect, nestled in a beautifully shaded grassy outdoor space that provided a serene and relaxing environment. The cottage itself was delightful, with comfortable beds ensuring we all had restful nights. The hosts clearly paid a lot of attention to details, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We loved the charming touch of having a record player and art supplies available, which added to the unique and cozy atmosphere. My husband, teen daughter, and I had a fantastic time and felt right at home. Peterson Cottage is truly a gem, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway. We look forward to returning in the future!

The Pine Valley 'Punch'

It is not just the clean streams of pure water which traverse PV that hit you with a special 'punch' of delight. It is the place itself, and the special people there. My stay at the Petersen cabin was a cozy, rustic, nostalgic, 'cabin-y,' and an emotionally provoking experience. (Like always for my times in PV). And my hostess, again, as usual, was the best! Perfection

I cannot say enough about this place! If you are looking for an "escape"; this is it. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and quiet. They have thought of every single thing you may need and things you never thought of. The special touches are everywhere from the locally made bread to the hot chocolate bombs. We have stayed at several Vrbo properties but none of them have come close to this. Thank you, Mitzi, for a relaxing and memorable weekend getaway...you can be sure we will be back!

Best VRBO rental ever!!!

This was the most wonderful VRBO rental my husband and I have ever stayed in! It by far exceeded our expectations in so many ways! The house was immaculate and came fully stocked with everything you could possibly need during your stay in the bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, laundry and kitchen. The extra touches that are provided really make you feel special during your stay.. mints by the bed, bath robes to use, extra kitchen supplies, etc etc. The location was very private and the town of Pine Valley is so very beautiful. This cottage will exceed your expectations by far as it did ours! Mitzi was the most amazing host you could ask for.. she will answer any questions that you might have and will make you feel right at home when you arrive. The Peterson cottage is a 5 star rental and then some - we will definitely stay here again!!! Thank you so much Mitzi.

Beautiful Cottage

This cottage was perfect for our girls getaway. The decor and ambiance were so welcoming and the beautiful trees and yard so relaxing. Loved everything about it!

A great getaway

The cabin was a wonderful getaway. Lots of little details were seen too. Kitchen was well stocked as I finished cooking Thanksgiving dinner there. We brought and burned 7 bundles of firewood for the weekend. Enjoyed the coloring book for adults. Wi-Fi was spotty. Not the best for Black Friday shopping or sending pics to family. The only wildlife we saw were the cute and very friendly neighborhood dogs that came to play with us. The cabin is in a neighborhood with the neighbors very close. Would book again.

short get away

We really enjoyed the property we stayed in.. It was nice to have all the amenities there. The only suggestion I would make is the lighting seems to be dim. It is my preference to have certain areas brighter.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

The Peterson Cottage is amazing! It is beautiful inside and out, located on gorgeous property, and very cozy on the inside. We felt "at home" and didn't feel like we were missing anything. From the first step in the booking process, all the way to checking out - everything went smooth. Mitzi is very informative and responded immediately to all our questions. She even helped us with a jumpstart when our car decided it hated the cold weather! We highly recommend this place and plan on returning late Spring/early Summer!
