Hill Country Lake House on Lake Travis, Lake Front w/Private Dock

Welcome to the Hill County Lake House on the Pedernales arm of Lake Travis!

**Lake levels are low and there is currently no water at our dock. Guests may take the kayaks and paddleboards to where the water starts in the cove. No boat access. The house and fire pit still have great views of the open channel.**

**Lake Travis lake levels fluctuate and cannot guarantee water level. Please feel free to contact me first with questions. **

We hope that our lake home will be your home away from home. Anytime is a good time of the year in The Texas Hill Country!

Take in expansive Hill Country views at our 3-spacious bedrooms, 2-full bath Hill County Lake House on the banks of the Pedernales River! Bring your boat, we have a private, floating dock.

Features of the Lake House:

Spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath. Sleeps 10 (maximum of 6 adults) — King, Queen, 2 Fulls, Full sleeper sofa and Twin Bunk with Trundle. Back of house is mostly windows with amazing views of the water.

Amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, Margaritaville margarita machine, eating area for 9, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.

Outdoor living includes rocking chairs on the front porch, a covered bar with ceiling fan on the back patio, patio table with chairs, Weber gas grill and fire pit.

Includes a boat dock and a slip for you to park your boat.

Great fishing right from the dock. Don’t forget your fishing poles!

We have a Paddle Boat, 2 Paddleboards and 3 Kayaks that are perfect for a relaxing trip around the peaceful cove (bring your own life jackets).

Great Stay!

I hosted my brother's bachelor party at this location. The owners were amazing! The house was the perfect size, very clean, lots of activities! Highly recommended

Really nice place with lots of room downstairs, great outdoor space

Quiet spot up along shoreline (when lake full). Great deck and outdoor space. Super firepit with lots of space for all to stay out of smoke. Easy checkin and checkout. Fully equipped kitchen, nice outdoor grill.

Perfect lake getaway

This was a great property. Unfortunately the lake is low so we did not have the water view but it was still a perfect getaway. House was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Making smores on the firepit was a perfect ending to the days! We will for sure be back!

Beautiful Place

Very Nice place, Host were very accommodating. The place is very quiet, beautiful views from the master bedroom. The house is comfortable and clean, Kitchen was very well stocked. We would highly recommend this place.

Great little spot!

The house was super cute and comfortable. Nice big backyard area too. There was no water when we were there, but that was expected. We definitely made use of the fire pit though!

Excellent spot for families in Spicewood

Easy check-in. Property is great, especially the lower fire pit, where they are very accommodating with chairs and accessories. The hill to the water is steep but a rail is there to help kids and older adults. I’m sure the water is great when the rain allows. Lots of run around space for kids. Only knock is the gas grill was sub-par in its heating ability, but it did the job. But caveat to my comment—I dislike gas grills generally.

Aside from the lake being down about 30’ due to catastrophic drought, it was just as advertised. We weren’t there for the lake, but was disappointed to have it be so low and not know about it beforehand

No water (then), no problem

We had an excellent time here, even with the water level being low. The fire pit was fantastic for hanging out with visiting friends. Great views from both decks and the living areas. The arrangement of the neighbors meant you really did not even notice there were other houses. It was a fantastic stay all around.

Nice location, but

We booked the house very early on in the year and was not prepared for the severe drought in Texas in July causing there to be no lake water at the location. The owner of the property was very transparent and obviously not within there control. With all of that said, I would have expected the house to be in better shape than it was. The house was not well cleaned upon our arrival. There were cobwebs throughout the house, dead bugs, dirty towels, spiders in the towels, old coffee grounds in the coffee pot, dirty utensils inside the drawers and stained sheets. For the cost, and location, you would expect better quality. I hope they make the necessary adjustments as this house has a great potential.

Peaceful weekend getaway

We were in town for a wedding, the property was close to the venue, which was perfect for us. The home was comfortable, had a well-equipped kitchen and was very clean. The owner was very quick to respond to all questions and upfront with us on the level of the lake. We will definitely book a return visit when the lake fills back up. As for our stay this time, it had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing/very clean

This house is lovely and has everything one would need for a weekend. Lots of kitchen stuff, the beds are comfortable, A/C works great. There is no water near the house because the lake is so low, but we were told that before we rented.

Cosy warm house perfect for family

This little house was perfect for our family weekend. It never rained this season so the listing that the boat dock is on dry land is accurate. That was a little disappointing we had hopes of lots of rain. The picture on the listing with the gazebo is almost false hope. While we did enjoy the house it had everything in the kitchen you ever needed. It was also tastefully decorated. The kayaks and paddle boards became useless to us as boat dock is on dry land and we weren’t going to drag them all the way to the Lakeside. The house could’ve been a little cleaner, mostly the floors needed extra attention. The outdoor trashcan was full of trash, flies, and stink and was not emptied prior to our arrival. We had to store trash on the patio and take it somewhere to dump to avoiding critters getting into the trash. Other than that we had a wonderful weekend at this home.

Wonderful Family Get-Away

Our family chose Texas Hill Country to visit for our Longhorn daughter's graduation. It was close enough to get into Austin, but far enough away to enjoy the beauty of hill country. The house was perfect for our family with beds for all, huge bathroom (picture 5 girls getting on makeup and doing hair at once!), large and well-stocked kitchen, large dining table, and beautiful views from the deck. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, swimming and picnicking at nearby Krause Springs, and visiting a local vineyard. Our hostess let us know ahead of time about the low water level, but I wouldn't let that deter anyone from staying at the property. Use of the kayaks and paddle boards would be a great plus when the drought is over! We would love to stay again.

Great location close to wineries and brewies

The property was just as advertised and the property manager was prompt to answer all my questions! Loved the property and the location. We had six couples and we had plenty of room. WE enjoyed local wineries, breweries, and pickle ball courts at the Soul sister winery. we will be back!

Family Fun

Our family enjoyed this property during our stay. It was very spacious and well stocked with what we needed in the kitchen. Our kids enjoyed the stroll to the lake and fishing. One even had a nice catch! The location was perfect distance to the parks we visited during the day.
