Great house, very spacious and tastefully decorated, close proximity to the beach (6-7 minutes walk). Very nice guest house with it’s own kitchen too. Lots of pool&beach toys. And pool was great too - we enjoyed, especially kids. Would definitely stay again.

The home was beautiful and well stocked. We had everything we needed to swim, play, cook and relax. The beach was a short walk away and the canal right in front. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Only a few minor remarks, the washer gave off a musty smell when first used and the sectional in the living room of the main home had a few stains, nothing a nice cover couldn’t hide.

Pompano beach vacation rental

Cool house, tons of room for a large family. Great pool and outdoor space. Walking distance to the beach. Quick drive or bike ride to Hillsboro Inlet and Pompano Beach pier with lots of bars and restaurants on the beach.

Quiet Street with Easy Access to Beach

This house is perfect for a family vacation. There were six of us and the house was more than big enough for us. The extra in-law unit was perfect for two (although you could probably fit more if needed). And it was close but completely separate if someone has young ones that want to go to bed early or teenagers (like me) that want to stay up later. The pool was great...one day we just hung there all day and didn't even go to the beach. It's a quick 5-10 minute walk to the beach and it's almost like having your own semi-private beach. It's nice to not deal with the crowds at the main beach near the Pompano Pier. With that being said, you're only a mile from the pier and it's an easy walk or drive. Plus there is plenty of parking at the Pier. Also great for running in the morning. Location is great. The street is quiet. And you have easy access to the beach and great restaurants either in Pompano or Deerfield (only 5 miles north). Would definitely recommend!

Great vacation home by the beach

This Pompano Beach property is perfect when travelling with big family and kids. Very close to the public beach (5 min walk), short drive away from WholeFood and Publics. The house itself is very spacious. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to run around. Pool and a guesthouse are huge benefits of this place, especially if you are combining vacation and remote work like we did. Michael is a great host. He allowed us to check-in early since there was no one at the house the day of our arrival. He even made sure we have a crib and a high chair free of charge after I mentioned we are travelling with a kid. He stopped by several times during our stay to check-in if everything was good and was very responsive to calls/texts. My only recommendation for the future would be to freshen up the main house a little bit as some of the furniture is a bit outdated, as well as to upgrade the mattresses on all the beds - they are very soft. Everything else was perfect! Thank you very much for the hospitality - we will for sure consider this place in our future travels!

Great Beach Vacation

We were 3 couples traveling from Canada for a beach vacation. This house was perfect for us. Three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the main house plus another bedroom and bathroom in the guest house, meant that everyone had their own space and no one had to share a bathroom. Bonus! The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of plates, glasses and cutlery, although I would suggest to provide more plastic glasses, especially for around the pool area. There are plenty of towels, 5 beach chairs and even a cooler to use for those short treks to the beach. The bedrooms are a great size, all with queen size beds. However the mattresses are very soft and really should be replaced. Also, would recommend additional storage units or dressers in some of the bedrooms. There is not a lot of place to put your stuff, other than leaving your suitcases on the floor. Having a pool was a bonus and we used it a lot more than we thought we would. After spending several hours at the beach, it was nice to lounge by the pool in the afternoons, giving it a bit of a resort feeling. The pool was well maintained, clean and heated. The location is literally a 5 minute walk to the beach, which we did everyday. It's approximately a 20 minute walk to Pompano Beach where there are some great restaurants and bars to go to as well as the Pompano Pier. Our host was excellent and always very responsive. Overall we recommend this house and would definitely book it again.

Disappointing property

The overall condition of the property was only fair. We specifically selected a place with a heated pool however the walls/bottom of pool were covered in algae and mold and we not comfortable using it in that state. It needs to be scrubbed or power washed. The outdoor furniture was broken &/or moldy. 2 of the mattresses in main house should be replaced, there are no dressers in bedrooms, closet space was not adequate for clothing. Dishwasher is not secured to wall and would fall forward when opened. . There were no bath mats or washcloths and the bath towels were very worn. The bedroom with steps had a shower head that was black with mold. We communicated these issues with property manager at the beginning of our stay. He did have the pool swept however bc of the other issues that he could not address, we notified him after day 5 of our 2 week stay that we made arrangements for different accommodations. We requested a refund for the remaining days of our booking however he stated he would only give refund if he could book another client for the remainder of our booking. We feel we are owed some compensation /refund for the disappointing condition of this rental.

Great set up

We really enjoyed our stay at Pompano Beach. The home with the beach house was a great set up for us. Our teenagers stayed in the home so hubby and I had a little romantic stay. There was plenty of room for all. The pool was great. The walk to the beach was so very quick. Michael was very responsive to questions. Would recommend!

Beach House Stay

We had a group stay at this property and everyone was very pleased. With the additional guest house that included an extra kitchen it was very spacious. We were very happy with the location and cleanliness. The neighbors were outgoing and understanding of our group on vacation. The walk to the beach is less then 5 minutes away and restaurants close as well. Overall a great stay and no complaints.

Cleanliness catastrophe, beware...

Before arriving, we were greeted with a very kind message from the owner explaining what to expect when arriving and where to find things. To say the least, our family was very excited to get away. Upon arrival, that excitement quickly went downhill. Now I am not saying that everything there was bad, because it was not. The space was great for our family with the bedroom situation and the outdoor "gathering" area by the pool where we spent a great majority of our time together. The location was great, right on the canal, and not a far walk or circuit ride from the action of the town. Aside from these wonderful things, there were many issues that we encountered. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately hit with a wall of mold and mildew smell which to say the least was very overwhelming, especially when there are people who come in to the house with breathing issues, this was a major health concern (a few of us got sick from this problem). In fact we found a whole door covered in mold due to bags of dirty linens in a closet, which we think was a main culprit of this issue. Moving into the kitchen, there are broken floor tiles, the dishwasher was not mounted to the counter top so it would fall forward when we put dishes into the dishwasher, and there was not a kitchen towel to be found. While the pool area was great, the pool was extremely filthy, as it had lots of things floating in it and there was algae all around the edge of the pool along with a layer of algae at the bottom. In the guest house there were several lightbulbs that were not working and there were snails all along the back side of the toilet. The property manager was very kind and willing to do what he could to help, it was very appreciated but ultimately it was not enough. We were told that the pool was going to be cleaned on Sunday, then it got changed to Monday, and then it got changed to Thursday, and it was never done. If you are looking for a place to stay that has mold and mildew, uncomfortable beds, is fairly unkept and have a wonderful 8am wakeup call by roofers while you are on vacation, this is the place to stay.

Nice property, but needs updating

Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the house needs some maintenance, better upkeep and a good cleaning. The toilet in the master bathroom did not flush when we arrived. Greg immediately responded and sent someone out the same day to make the repair. I then walked out the patio door from the dining room and the lock fell off the door onto the floor. There are broken tiles on the kitchen floor with broken pieces just sitting there. There was a pile of beach chairs and a large pool float sitting in the backyard. The chairs were pretty rusty and some broken, the float was aired up, but had a hole in it. Only one of the 3 bedroom TVs were working. I could not get the master bedroom TV to even power on. The owner really needs to look into hiring a new cleaning company. I found a used bar of soap in the master shower along with an empty wrapper. The doors and doorframes were extremely dirty and the floors were not very clean. The small trundle bed/couch was very stained and we had to cover it with sheets before anyone could sit on it. We loved the pool and the location of the property and the house could be really nice with some additional updating and cleaning.

Family Getaway

The house was in a very nice neighborhood with marina across the street. The neighbors were very pleasant and the house is in such a great location. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and close to many stores, restaurants and parks. The main house was comfortable, clean, well decorated, and spacious. The beds throughout the main house and cottage were the most comfortable we had ever slept on! The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils with a large dining table that we all could sit at together. No need to bring any beach towels-there were plenty! The cottage was a really nice addition and it was nice having that separate space after the kids went to bed. As well as having that extra bathroom- most houses we found only had 2 bathrooms. With all of that being said the best part of this property was the backyard and where we spent most of our time. The pool was perfect size for our 3 kids. We used the grill almost daily, ate outside and even set up our projector for outdoor movie nights. The addition of the landscaping made it truly feel like we were on vacation. When we come back to South Florida, this is the place we will continue to stay!!! The hosts were prompt to respond with any questions or concerns throughout the week. If there is a place for suggestions of improvements: twin beds in 1 room so kids do not have to share a bed, mats in all of the bathrooms, kitchen, leading out onto the patio--- as the ceramic tile got a little slippery at times. Overall, you will not be disappointed if you are looking for a house with lots of space for large family or multiple families.

Nice Spring Break

We loved the house. Having a private pool was great. We really liked the separate living quarters for the teens that were with us. The house was well equipped. The area was nice and it was a short walk to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay.
