Rock Ridge Log Cabin
A medida que avanza por el largo carril, verá Rock Ridge Log Cabin sentado sobre una cresta con vistas a un valle. En este entorno apartado sin vecinos cercanos, puede apreciar la belleza del condado de Brown durante las cuatro estaciones. Sube los escalones hasta el amplio porche cubierto con columpio, mesa y sillas estilo bistro. Es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de un café temprano en la mañana o relajarse con una copa de vino al final del día. Ingrese por la puerta principal al área principal de "concepto abierto" que permite a una familia o grupo socializar juntos. La cocina es nueva y está totalmente equipada con una isla para la preparación de alimentos y una hermosa mesa de madera donde puede disfrutar de comidas familiares o juegos.

El espacio de la sala de estar tiene un sillón reclinable, dos sofás y una mecedora donde se puede ver la televisión por satélite o el fuego que chisporrotea en la chimenea de leña.

El dormitorio de la planta principal está amueblado con una cama queen y camas nido dobles con baño adyacente. Las ventanas del piso al techo bañan la habitación de luz, y la vista panorámica de las copas de los árboles en la cresta es increíble al salir de la habitación a un balcón con vistas al bosque.

El dormitorio de arriba con vigas a la vista y techo abovedado rústico tiene una cama queen y love seat, y es perfecto para relajarse y ponerse al día con su lectura. Hay un baño completo contiguo a la habitación de arriba. Ambos baños están recientemente renovados con bañera / ducha completa. No se moleste en empacarlo, hay un secador de pelo disponible.

We loved our Christmas in the Cabin! We were so happy to see it was already decorated for us and all we needed to do was hang our stockings.It was nice to try new board games we hadn’t played. The game shed was a blast. The hot tub was a great way to relax. The fireplace was beautiful. The kitchen had what we needed. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us. The cabin is plenty close to a grocery to stock the fridge upon arrival. Check in and out was quick and easy. We may make it a new tradition to spend Christmas in the Cabin.

One of the most beautiful places you could ever stay! The town closest is Nashville and it’s so cute! My teens enjoyed fishing. We enjoyed the quiet relaxing nature. Very comfy beds there is no better place to stay!

Family Gathering

Beautiful getaway. Worked well for attending 2 IU graduations although a little further of a drive than expected. Great lawn for lawn games and beautiful evenings by the fire pit. Nicely stocked kitchen and adequate towels. Home feeling. Did not disappoint!

Cozy cabin

We really enjoyed this cozy cabin in the woods away from it all. We spent time reconnecting as a family getting into the holiday spirit. We baked Christmas cookies, watched our favorite holiday films, and enjoyed the crackle of the fire. The cabin was both roomy and cozy. We made good use of the hot tub during the cold evenings and tried out at least a few of the games the property had on hand. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Perfect change of scenery

Rock Ridge was even better than we had anticipated! During this safer at home year, we just wanted to get in the van, go on a road trip with the kiddos and have a change of scenery. Our stay was over the Christmas week, so the holiday decorations and holiday music playing when we entered the property was a very nice touch! The cabin was a perfect size for our family: mom, dad, 14yo, 12 yo, 9 yo, and 1 cockapoo! We loved playing games, putting a puzzle together, enjoying the air hockey and arcade games in the "game shed", hiking the area trails, and warming up by the wood fireplace indoors after a soak in the hot tub. The location is definitely off of the beaten path, but worth the beautiful hilly drive. We highly recommend staying at Rock Ridge!! We loved every bit of it--huge success! Very clean and the reservation process and communication was amazing!

Extremely disappointed

Hills O’ Brown uses VRBO. Weather was sketchy. Rain & Wind. Cabin very nice & secluded. Lost power fifteen minutes after we arrived. No generator. Drove to get dinner & trees down on roadways. Had to get out and help locals clear path to get through. No big deal. Nashville had power. Just outside properties did not. I have sleep apnea so I didn’t sleep but a couple hours first night. Went to Hills O’ Brown office in morning. I asked to be moved to another property that had power. Answer in short, No. okay, can I get a refund because I don’t want to go through another sleepless night. In short, No. woman was rude, acted like I was bothering her, huffed & glared, acted like she hated her job, & definitely has no idea how to treat customers. Her customer service skills were the worst I ever experienced within a business. Not the first time I’ve heard of employees being rude to their customers. As much as people pay, you would think their employees would treat their customers better. Will not use HoB ever again.

We will be back!

Overall, we had a great time! the property was beautiful. I really enjoyed how the cabin was off the road and you could not hear a single thing. Peace and quite! The appliances were were very nice and easy to use. How ever a few things I would like to see changed. First the Timer on the fire place, I understand why they have it and it makes a lot of sense, however it has a SUPER LOUD tick as it counts down, When you are reading a book or even watching TV all I can hear is the tick of the timer. They do make some that are silent. Second, the shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom makes the shower very small due to where it was mounted. If it was mounted on the other side of the wood beam it would of added 3 to 4 extra inches of space to move around in the shower. Last the check out process, I have no issues of having to make sure things are picked up and put back, however depending on witch check list you read in the binder it asks you to set the thermostat back to different temperatures. Also when doing the dishes there was a great dishwasher however useless because there was not detergent for it so that you could use it. I understand that some of these are "nit-picking" but I try to do an honest review. Overall, I will absolutely come back and we have already talked about coming back. You would not be disappointed, and everything covered in snow made it extra beautiful out.
