What an amazing place to stay when in the Juneau area. The view is incredible, and the breakfasts are wonderful. John is a great host. Will definitely stay here again if we ever get back!

A lovely stay in comfortable surroundings, with a beautiful view! John’s breakfasts were something to look forward to, and the family raved about the tour of the fish (salmon) hatchery that he gave them. We would definitely stay here again, John was a wonderful and helpful host.

We had a lovely stay. The property was beautiful, with absolute gorgeous scenery and Bald Eagles in the trees visiting. Our host John was wonderful, he was very attentive, and made us feel right at home. The gourmet breakfasts he prepared each morning were truly exceptional as well as the daily home baked cookies. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful property.

John went above and beyond during our stay . Breakfast every morning. Early check in upon request. Personal tour of the fish hatchery. Not sure this can be beat! You will not be disappointed with the view of Auke Bay either!

We stayed here as a family of six for one night and had a fabulous time. The space is homey and very comfortable. Jean George was a font of knowledge and made us feel very welcome. We also appreciated him accommodating an early check-in.

John was a gracious host. Walk out to an amazing view, fire pit, whales / seals right out front and eagles. Comfy beds, living room furniture could use update but I really loved the place and host! Breakfast was a nice touch! Thank you so much for your hospitality John!!!!

Delicious breakfast and wonderful view.

John is an impeccable host. He accommodated our late arrival and provided us a wonderful gourmet breakfast.

Great guests. Late arrivals are frequent due to airplane schedules and delays. We are happy to accommodate guests whenever they arrive. David and his party were neat, respectful and left the property just as they found it. We would love to host them again.

John was a wonderful host and we enjoyed our stay. He made sure we had all the comforts of home, coffee, chocolates for smores and home baked cookies. The property was easy to find and a great location just outside of the Juneau traffic. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the Bald Eagles and sea birds. The view was amazing and the firepit was an excellent touch! Thank you John for a great stay!

Pros: Love the porch view, this is why we chose this property. The bathrooms were well stocked with everything you need. The property was clean, sheets soft, bed comfortable, easy access shower, full size refrigerator with ice maker, full size dishwasher, dishwasher soap, huge washer and dryer with every kind of washer products, coffee maker, microwave, homemade oatmeal cookies, as well as a large variety of snacks, outdoor gas grill, and small fire pit. Sitting outdoors had 2 comfortable chairs and a bench. The dining table has 4 chairs. There are 2 leather chairs in the living room and bedrooms have a closet with hangers and a dresser if you chose to unpack, which I did because I stayed for a week. John was very knowledgeable about local activities and restaurants. He took us on a tour of the salmon hatchery. John offers breakfast every morning at the time convenient for you. We had breakfast 4 mornings. The other mornings we were gone very early.Two couples stayed at this home. I had 2 rental cars.Cons: There is a gravel walkway to the entry. Parking is in front of a garage and John's house. I did not know John resides upstairs. The full kitchen has 1 convection burner, looks like a hot plate. The oven, sits on the counter. It's the size of an air fryer. I did not use the oven. To use the convection burner, I placed a heavy skillet on the burner and added my pot, which I brought from home. There are no inside locks on bedroom doors.

Thank you for your review of your stay with us. I am sorry that the pot you brought did not work with our induction appliance. We do provide compatible pots and pans which you could have used. I checked to verify that both bedroom doors do have inside locks. I do appreciate the positive description of the amenities that we provide.

Memorable lodging over Memorial Day Week!

We really enjoyed our stay at Eagle’s Watch Bed & Breakfast! Not only did we sleep soundly & had lovely different gourmet breakfasts each morning, but we also watched whales breaching and blowing different mornings, and a pair of eagles to watch in a nearby tree! John was an amazing host…lovely place; delicious food; wonderful sleep! We will definitely come back to stay again!

We had 4 nights at Eagles Watch and our host John, was awesome. Not only a wealth of information, but a great cook who served us daily breakfast along with sharing stories and information about Juneau. The number of eagles who graced us with their daily presence was incredible. A cozy, comfortable, clean place that was the perfect first part of our Alaskan journey. Thank you John for everything!! We hope to be back!!

John the host is attentive, affable and informative. He prepares excellent and tasty breakfasts. Also fully supplies you with S'mores for the small pit fire outside and an "endless" oatmeal cookies. Definitely staying again on next trip to Juneau

Just what we needed!

Great location. Great view. Chatty host. Nice to have a freshly cooked breakfast on our time served in the unit. Rotting salmon and noisy seagulls added to the marine atmosphere! And the weather couldn’t have been nicer.

Exceptional

John greeted us when we arrived. He is very likable and knowledgeable. He made breakfast every morning and they were outstanding. John was one of the best parts of our stay. However, the lakeside view of the mountains could not have been more beautiful and the location lives up to its name because we saw several bald eagles fly close to us.

Alaskan Perfection

Amazing location on Auke Bay with beautiful views of the harbour. The place was immaculate and John was an amazing host. Our every need was cartered to and he was a wealth of information about Juneau and Alaska. He even served as our guide to the Hatchery and picked us up at the airport as we arrived after the car rental was closed. Cant recommend Eagles Watch highly enough.

Absolutely Wonderful

Our 8 days in Juneau were made comfortable and informative by our host John. The great things about the house are it is clean and comfortable and has the most fantastic view, which can even be enjoyed in the rain because its covered. John is an excellent chef and made sure our breakfast was unique everyday, he even made a birthday cake for one of the ladies in our party. John also provided us with a tour of the salmon hatchery. Highly recommend, and can't wait to go back.

Beautiful view

Property is a special place. Quiet beautiful view of Auke Bay. John has the property filled with thoughtful touches. He went above and beyond to help us with our frozen fish. We also really enjoyed his cookies and breakfasts and S’mores at night. Everything is clean and well maintained. We would love to return.
