The cabin was in a fantastic location, close to all the parks. The home was clean. Slept 7 of us comfortably.
The property stated the kitchen was fully stocked, it is not. You will need to bring trash bags, charcoal for charcoal grill, dish soap, the owner does provide dish soap but only 4 ounces, not enough for our party. Owner provides 1 pod for the dishwasher, you will need to bring more. There is no receptacle for the trash so a several mile ride is needed to drop the trash off at the main office where the check in is.
Extra laundry detergent if planning on doing laundry.
There are chairs for the fire but if you want a drink holder, it is best to bring your own. There were some outdoor patio chairs and a few very low beach chairs.
The Water Deer Lake is more like a big pond. It was nice to swim in and a very small community, the private dock is not sound and could use some reinforcement. The path on the way to the "lake" is very very steep and it is difficult to walk up, we are all healthy individuals and we were out of breath walking up. There is also poison ivy on the trail which should be cleared.
The drains in the bathrooms were clogged. We tried using Drano for the Master Bathroom sink but it did not work. The showers are very clogged.
The charcoal grill is not clean and the grates could be much cleaner.
The hot tub was great but the water was cloudy. I did reach out to the owner saying it was cloudy and owner responded house keeping fixed it with some chemicals but it never cleared up. The jets could use some cleaning as well, only one jet was strong.
There is no street sign for the road but there is a sign for Deer Water Lake, that is the development for the cabin.
