Nuestra casa lo ayuda a relajarse y disfrutar de la vida del lago en el momento en que ingresa. Tiene una decoración de pino nudosa auténtica y original que es hermosa y hogareña. Con un plano de planta abierto, puede ver el lago y las estribaciones de Bristol desde la cocina hasta nuestra sala "lago" a través de la gran ventana panorámica. Nuestra propiedad frente al lago de 50 'de ancho tiene una caminata nivelada hacia el lago o hacia el muelle, cuya pesca es muy divertida. ¡El acceso al lago es solo un paso o un paseo en bote desde el final del muelle!El encantador sonido del agua lamiendo te tranquiliza mientras te sientas en nuestro amplio patio con muchos asientos, mesa, sombrilla y parrilla Weber. Los patios a ambos lados de la carretera ofrecen mucho espacio para jugar. El camino, fuera de la calle principal, es tranquilo y los vecinos son amigables. El pozo de fuego es ideal para asar malvaviscos o hacer s'mores. Restaurantes, tiendas, estaciones de servicio, bodegas y senderos pintorescos se encuentran a poca distancia. Nuestros dos restaurantes favoritos en la ciudad están a solo cinco minutos de la cabaña. Con tres habitaciones, dos habitaciones tienen camas queen, el tercero tiene una cama individual y nido con aire acondicionado. Un baño tiene una combinación completa de bañera / ducha; El segundo baño tiene ducha y WC separados. Lavadora y secadora están a su disposición. This was our third trip to the lake house in the past 4 years and we continue to make memories there. The cottage has an open floor plan and still retains a cozy feel. Being outside on the lake is always relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need to make memorable meals. Reminds me of my childhood summers on Lake Shirley in eastern Mass.

Second year at the lake

The cottage is perfect for a quiet lake vacation and it is everything that the listing indicates. The owner is easy to contact and work with. This was our second year and while the weather wasn't as "Goldilocks" as 2022 we all enjoyed our stay.

Great fishing getaway

Yvonne is great to work with. Property is exactly as stated and so clean. Checked up on us when possible bad weather. Great to be able to dock our boat just steps from the back porch. Had a great fishing trip with my husband. Would definitely stay again!!

The perfect vacation!

There isn't one thing I could think that I would change about this cottage. I could live there! Everyone relaxed and just chilled. There were books, movies, games and more if you wanted. Just reading and enjoying the lake was the best.

Great stay on Lake Honeoye

This was our families first trip to the finger lakes and we could not have selected a better property and worked with anyone better than Yvonne. From a visit to Niagra Falls , hiking, swimming in the lake , and several trips to the vineyard Stay Awhile provided the perfect setting. Yvonne is a wonderful hostess and provided so many resources we had to start a list for the next time we come. Thanks Yvonne for sharing your home with us.

Great experience

The host was very helpful and went out of her way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The home is beautiful and in a great location. Expectations for cleaning at check out were unusually extensive (e.g. re-making the beds with spare sheets) but not over burdensome. Be aware that an extra cleaning deposit may be required even if insurance is purchased through VRBO.

Fantastic getaway

Yvonne is a fantastic host. She greeted us and showed us around. Answered all our questions, and she had a notebook with local attractions and directions. The place had everything you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable. The view was to die for. Cant wait to go again. We loved sitting around enjoying the view, swimming and fishing in the lake. Yvonne thank you for a great time.

Nancy and her family were a very nice group to have as tenants. They were friendly and took care of the cottage as if it was their own. Everything was in great order when they were finished vacationing at the cottage. I would highly recommend them.

7/3/2020-7/8/2020 Nice clean and quiet property overlooking the lake. Like other reviews - all you need to bring is food. Everything you need is already there. Yvonne was wonderful to work with. Nice cottage

The cottage was very clean and very well equipped-there was nothing left out. Books, music, videos and games were well stocked. The property was nice as there was a lot of room for parking and lawn area. Sunrise from the living room area was just stunning. From a fishing perspective the lake was lacking but I think it was just the time of the year, there were too many weeds to catch anything substantial in this shallow lake.-we got mostly small perch, small large mouth and some pumpkinseeds. The only downfall was that the bedrooms were very very small and the second bath was set up oddly. Fortunately the common areas had a nice open format which made up for the small bedrooms. Due to a miscommunication with the owner the boatlift was not available for renters so we had to tie our boat to the dock. Overall a pleasant stay and the owner was very nice and responsive.

Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it and will use your review to edit information so that I can make the rental better for future guests. I have looked at the description of my property and see that there is information that the boat would be tied to the END of the dock, not on the lift, so I do not feel that I gave indication that hoist is available to guests. The bathroom is also described as have a separate shower stall, which many of our past guests have really liked. Yes, the bedrooms are small, but they are average size for a cottage. As for the lake, I really have no control over it and Honeoye is known for being shallow which is why it gets warm enough to swim in so comfortably. I hope you find the perfect cottage in your next rental. I want all of my guests to have the best time on their vacation at our cottage. I'm sorry there was some disappointment for you.

A beautiful and peaceful place to relax beside a lake

The cottage is open-concept with a view from the kitchen at the front of the house to the lake at the back. Lot is flat with easy access to the water. Great place to go "catching" versus 'fishing". Host is extremely helpful and easy to communicate with.

Wish we could have stayed longer!!

We had an awesome time, everything we could ask for and more. Yvonne the owner was very accommodating, the cottage was very spacious and cozy. The lake was just right we had a pontoon, enjoyed floating and swimming. If your looking for peace & quiet this is the place, we were able to dock the pontoon at the Twisted Rail Brewery & enjoyed their clam jam, it was delicious, hope to return next year😊

Awesome getaway at the stay awhile cottage on Honeoye Lake

Owner was awesome - easy to communicate with and the check in process was very smooth. Cottage was exactly as advertised, clean and well maintained. Our family had fun swimming, boating, fishing, playing games, cooking out and enjoying the cottage life! I highly recommend this property!

A life time of memories, all rolled up into a week!

A life time of memories, all rolled up into a week! Leading up to our Family week at "The Stay Awhile" cottage. Had many texts and emails between Yvonne and I. She was amazingly detailed in all her responses. Answering all our questions on the facilities and attractions in and around the lake. Upon arrived, we met Yvonne and Terry in person, and they provided us the tour of the cottage. First observation was how much larger the living areas were. The view was spectacular from the front room. The kitchen was very well supplied, along with the bathrooms. Our Grand Child loved the shelves of story books. When I opened the chest of games her eyes lit up. Once outside we found the patio furniture, gas grill and fire pit. We even were taught the game of washers by Terry! The dock was perfect for fishing and swimming. They even have weed suppression material around the swim area to keep the weeds at bay. This place had so much to offer, and the owners are wonderful people. They even provided us a wonderful gift bag with family made items and a personal note from from our hosts! We loved our stay so much, we went ahead and booked are stay for next year! Thank you Yvonne and Terry!

Stay Awhile Cottage = Memories Forever!

A great surprise! The description was accurate. The picture was realistic...it was just that little extra outside and inside that made it even better! Great parking ! The set up perfect for family fun and conversations. A supply of board games inside brought back challenges of yesterday with a mixture of generations meeting the new challenge. The living - dining room easy to gather, move around & enjoy food & fun. Great view of lake at sunrise from the comfy sitting area inside or on the patio...12 feet from the lapping lake water. The lake satisfies all ages. Swimmers, kayaking, boating, fishing and best of all lake watchers. Even an overcast WNY day has beauty on Honeoye Lake at "Stay Awhile Cottage".

We are blessed with a great family of grown children, grandchildren and a large extended family. The major reason we bought our cottage was for gatherings of family and friends. Throughout our married life, we have traveled to many places. We've been to Mongolia, China, England, South Africa while family members lived there. We have also been to several Caribbean countries and many states. It's such a beautiful world, people are so interesting, and food is fun to explore! If we never traveled outside of New York state, though, we would be very happy too. Since we purchased the cottage, we are very content to spend a lot of time at Honeoye Lake. Yvonne was a high school English teacher for 22 years in a local district. She enjoyed it very much and is still teaching in retirement in a different way--to her grandchildren. Terry worked in skilled trades, testing units for today's cars. He has retired from that profession but still maintains a part-time job that allows him to work with older people on a weekly basis.

My husband traveled to Honeoye Lake in the Finger Lakes region to visit a friend several years ago and fell in love with the area. When I spoke to him about looking for a cottage just a few years ago, he wanted to look at Honeoye Lake again because of that experience. We visited several cottages but ours fits us to a tee. It is lakefront with knotty pine and an open floor plan. We looked at very modern cottages, worn out cottages, and those with authentic charm. Our cottage has the charm that we love. It's perfect for a couple, a small gathering of friends, or a family vacation. Honeoye is nestled at the base of Bristol Hills. From our cottage, you can see much of the length of the lake and the hills that surround the area. A short trip up any direction will show you the beauty of the area with hiking trails, farm country, and even a couple of state parks: Harriet Hollister Recreation Area; Grimes Glen State Park; Letchworth State Park.

Our cottage provides room to move in its open plan giving guests a gorgeous view of the lake come rain or come shine. Honeoye Lake is at the Bristol foothills. You have the advantage of being on water yet feeling like the mountains are all around, because the lake is in a small valley and the vista changes seasonally. The lake is shallow (32 feet at its deepest) so it is warm enough to swim in most of the summer unlike deep lakes that remain cold. There ARE weeds in the lake because it's shallow, so expect that when fishing. Most of our guests have told us that it makes for good fishing since fish like the protection of vegetation. We have weed mats in our little cove making swimming there very pleasant and, if the weeds get thick, we also rake them away so that you will not be hindered by them. Please wear water shoes, because we have zebra mussels. It's a great lake for recreational boating or fishing. Or, just gazing at it while releasing all the tensions away.
