Situado en una posición estratégica a medio camino entre Florencia y Siena, el castillo de S. Andrea a Cellole tiene fácil acceso a todos los sitios turísticos más importantes, pero está inmerso en la tranquilidad del campo donde los pájaros cantan y en las calurosas noches de verano las luciérnagas. resplandor. Lejos de las carreteras y autopistas principales, el único sonido que escuchará es el extraño tractor que ara las vides.

Con Florencia y Siena a poco más de media hora en automóvil, lo que podría ser más fácil que visitar los maravillosos tesoros artísticos que la Toscana tiene para ofrecer, regresar en la última parte del día para disfrutar de un chapuzón antes de cenar en el jardín o una incursión. a uno de los muchos restaurantes típicos de la zona ... de los cuales todavía tiene muy buena relación calidad-precio.
Una acogedora casa de campo adosada en dos plantas ideal para una pareja o hasta cuatro personas. En la planta baja, ingrese al amplio salón a través de uno de los dos juegos de puertas de vidrio, hay un sofá para 3 con un sillón y estanterías a juego, TV satélite y reproductor de CD. Sube dos escalones a la cocina totalmente equipada con vitrocerámica, horno, campana extractora, nevera / congelador, lavadora y chimenea. Una mesa cuadrada y cuatro sillas conforman el área para comer en la cocina. Arriba, dos habitaciones dobles, una con dos camas individuales y baño con ducha, la otra con una cama doble de matrimonio está al lado del baño con lavabo con tocador, bidet y w. C.. Desde todas las ventanas de arriba hay vistas espectaculares sobre el campo. En el exterior hay una pérgola muy sombreada con muebles de jardín de madera, la barbacoa se comparte en el jardín principal cerca de la piscina.
Wi-Fi gratis. Ventilador en la habitación de la cama. No hay extras ocultos, solo impuestos turísticos locales 50cts por persona por día a pagar localmente.

Extraordinarily beautiful location, very helpful and attentive host. The two-bedroom apartment is a little odd, with one bathroom (sink, bidet, toilet) at the end of the hall, and a second “bathroom” (consisting only of a shower)accessible only by way of one of the bedrooms!

Magnifique panorama. Accueil très gentil. Petit mais belle décoration. Toutefois l’eau chaude était plutôt tiède même trop tiède pour laver la vaisselle, probablement la raison pour laquelle la vaisselle n’était pas toujours propre. Surtout l’annonce indiquait 2 salles de bain alors qu’il n’y avait qu’une seule douche dans l’une des chambre avec une salle d’eau commune. Un peu de fausse représentation même si dans le détail c’était indiqué.

Outstanding

First of all, Marzio was hands down the best host we have ever stayed with. He was very helpful with recommendations and giving us information of the area. We ate in some outstanding restaurants on Marzio recommendation and he was right on the mark. The house is exactly what we were looking for, a beautiful Tuscan retreat, close to Florence and Siena. The pool was an added bonus that we used every day to cool off. We would really want to stay again. We did happen to stay in July and it was unusually hot. The A/C did have a hard time keeping up with the extreme heat at night so we may choose a Fall or Spring trip next time.

Beautiful, just beautiful!

More than we imagined for our Tuscany vacation. Spacious, well appointed and clean. Marzio was an excellent host with knowledge of the area and its history. He gave wonderful suggestions for wines, restaurants and touring excursions. We highly recommend this historical villa for a Tuscany vacation!

Perfekte Betreuung

Das Haus liegt idyllisch hoch oben auf einem Hügel - mit einem freien Blick auf Zypressen, Weingüter und Olivenbäume. Hier ist man wunderbar für sich. Zur ehemaligen Kirche, in der man wohnt, gehören drei vermietete Wohneinheiten. Der Eigentümer wohnt auch vor Ort, aber gut abgeschirmt. Bei hohen Temperaturen ist der große Pool ein echter Hit. Die Appartements sind gut ausgestattet, es gibt auch eine kleine Bibliothek. Toll ist der Support durch den Hausherrn Marcio. Eine Glühbirne ist defekt - wird sofort gewechselt. Ein Schlüssel ist abgebrochen - hier ist ein neuer. Marcios Ausflugstipp sind Gold wert, vor allem passend dazu, wo man am sichersten sein Auto parkt. Und Marcio kennt alle Restaurants in der Umgebung - und reserviert gern einen Tisch. Das ist echt nötig, denn die Restaurants sind oft komplett ausgebucht. Wir haben toll, lecker und sogar preiswert gespeist, das ist in der Nachbarschaft tausend Mal besser als in den großen Orten. Der Hausherr lädt auch gern zu einem BBQ für alle Gäste ein. Das lohnt sich sehr und trägt sehr zur Kommunikation mit den anderen Gästen bei. Und gern kann man vor Ort auch hausgemachtes Olivenöl einkaufen. Mücken hatten wir keine, obwohl davor sehr gewarnt wurde. Dafür unseren Nelson. Der alte Hund der Besitzer kam abends immer zu uns und ist bei uns eingeschlafen. Den ruhigen Gesellen hätten wir gern mitgenommen. Kurzum: ein cooler Urlaubsort, eine perfekte Betreuung und ein toller Startort für Ausflüge nach Pisa, Lucca, Florenz+ Siena

Ce fut un séjour extraordinaire et inoubliable, un accueil très chaleureux du propriétaire Marzio avec qui il fut très agréable de discuter et d’apprendre de sa région et de sa formidable demeure. Great place

The property "Sant' Andrea a Cellole" is located in the middle of Tuscany, just as you would expect it to be. Marzio is a smart guy who is very concerned about the well-being of his guests. He is happy to advise on which excursion or restaurant to visit. The reservation is then made immediately at the desired time. We enjoyed the peace and tranquillity. A refreshing pool invites you to do this when you are not travelling through Tuscany. Two friends for life are also quickly found. They are the two four-legged friends Nelson and Bounty. You just have to like them, they are lovely dogs. All that remains is to say that we look forward to seeing them again and can highly recommend Marzio's place. Don't miss to take home his own olive oil, which is awesome. Thomas and Anna

Rundum empfehlenswert

Wir haben im August 2020 mit unseren beiden Söhnen (15,17) eine Woche Urlaub hier verbracht und haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Die kleine, aber gemütliche Wohnung liegt sehr abgelegen und ruhig und doch recht zentral, so dass sich zahlreiche Highlights der Toskana von hier aus sehr gut besuchen lassen. Dabei ist das Anwesen selbst so schön, dass man es am liebsten gar nicht verlassen würde: Der Blick in alle vier Himmelsrichtungen ist makellos und zu jeder Tageszeit unbeschreiblich schön, so dass man am liebsten gar keine Ausflüge machen möchte. Ein großer Pluspunkt: der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit – seine Tipps und Restaurantreservierungen sind Gold wert. Er spricht hervorragend Englisch, der auf dem Gut lebende Vater des Vermieters sehr gut Deutsch, so dass die Verständigung überhaupt kein Problem darstellt. Besonders geschätzt wurde natürlich der Pool, der sehr großzügig und gepflegt ist und eine tolle Wasserqualität hat. Die beiden Hunde auf dem Anwesen haben uns viel Freude gemacht, sind sehr lieb, bestens erzogen und haben für uns den Urlaub perfekt gemacht. Der Abschied fiel sehr schwer. Vielen Dank, Marzio, für deine Gastfreundschaft!

Lovely cottage in an outstanding setting with amazing views of the Tuscan countryside.

We stayed in cottage Murlo which accommodates 4 people. There were 3 of us, my husband, myself and our 18 year old son. We arrived at Cellole after 5 full days of sightseeing in Florence so the peace and tranquillity were much appreciated. The family who own the house, and live in part of it, are really friendly and helpful. They are there if you need them but never imposed on our holiday. Marzio will book restaurant reservations for you if you want which was really useful for us, he'll also give you advice and tips on where to park etc when visiting the surrounding areas. We went in July when it was very hot so the pool was fantastic for cooling down. One of the features that attracted us to Cellole was the fact there could only be a maximum of 10 people there at any one time and no children under 14. The pool was never busy! The cottage itself had everything you needed. The bedrooms are huge. The bathroom is actually in the master bedroom but it didn't cause us any problems because it was to the side and the room was so big. Outside you have a lovely covered seating area with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. This was my first visit to Italy and I don't think I could have found a nicer, more welcoming place to stay. Total peace and relaxation in beautiful surroundings with a helpful family on hand. What more could you wish for?

Nous avons passé dix jours agréables ,dans un environnement magnifique ,calme, avec des lumières extraordinaires le matin et le soir . Le Logement était comme sur les photos, juste ce qu'il faut pour quatre personnes. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine dans la soirée après nos visites à Florence . Un grand Merci à Adela et Marzio pour leur accueil chaleureux, leurs conseils .. on a envie d'y retourner

A wonderfully relaxing stay with brilliant hosts who could not have been more helpful and welcoming.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen a real gem! S. Andrea a Cellole is reached via quite a remote little lane which winds down through olive groves and fields of vines, and about 15 mins drive from the local village where you can buy all the provisions you may need. You arrive at a beautiful ancient and typical Tuscan building which invites you in immediately. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and welcoming, offering advice on places to see and restaurants to visit. The owner's son even invited us to a get together with other guests one evening and cooked for us around the B.B.Q. A delicious supper had been prepared for us which was very enjoyable. This is a place for relaxation and getting away from it all. You are completely immersed in stunning countryside. If you require a lively resort then think again. The web description and photographs were an accurate reflection of the accommodation. A rural treat for those who like a quiet and relaxing holiday. Can't wait to visit again.

Full of character !

Well equipped cottage in a unique former church building. Cottage pino has a Sweet little private terrace for eating al fresco. lovely shared pool area with lots of loungers for sunbathing or shade for relaxation. The shower was a bit temperamental but plenty of hot water once it got going. The drive from the main road was a bit scary in a little hire car the first time we did it and it's not a quick one for getting fresh bread for breakfast as it's takes a good 20 Minutes into Tavernelle. we had a lovely week there. Marzio, Mario & Adela were most helpful at recommending little gems for us to visit like the Badia al Passagnano and the various chiant highlights , villages, restaurants etc. Tuscany is very close to heaven !

Perfect

Wonderful idyllic castle in the Tuscan countryside, so quiet you could hear a needle drop. Really relaxing in an amazing area of Italy, perfect distance from Florence and Sienna. Couldn't recommend it enough. Will be returning in the future.

Une semaine trop courte !!..

Un havre de paix au milieu des oliviers et des vignes, le chant des cigales, une maison magnifiquement restaurée, une piscine accueillante et un point de vue quasi à 360° degrés ... le tout idéalement situé pour découvrir ou redécouvrir la Toscane : que demander de plus ?.. Si une seule ombre au tableau : le temps y passe trop vite et on en reprendrait bien une semaine de plus !!.. En clair, nous ne pouvons que conseiller cette location où l'accueil de Marzio et d'Adéla est des plus sympathique, merci à eux pour leurs conseils de visites, de restaurants typiques et pour leur excellent repas. Une caresse également à Bounty et Nelson qui nous rendaient des petites visites câlines. Nous reviendront à coup sûr, et pourquoi pas dès l'année prochaine. Pascale et Didier.

Perfect rural retreat

Our stay here couldn't have been better . If you want to get away from the husle and busle this is the place . Picturesque peaceful charming and the owners Adela and Mario were lovely hard working people . We wish them all the best for the future and the dogs Nelson and bounty very cheeky but well behaved . S.Andrea a Cellole: A Delightful Cottage

The meticulous care the owners take with this cottage was immediately evident with their prompt follow up to the booking and accurate, easy to follow directions. The location of the property is stunning, tucked away and private with outstanding views. The cottage is of good size yet cosy and well appointed. The shared pool is only a few yards walk away and of adequate length, complete with diving board. Cellole is blissful place to stay. It has a magical, relaxing atmosphere. It acts as a good base for touring Tuscany, whether the obvious draws or its furthest reaches. There was far too much to do even for a fortnight's holiday. The owners are welcoming, experienced hosts and run an efficient operation conducive to a very pleasant stay.

It took an age to find the right property. There was always something wrong with each one we found until this one. Our guidelines were, no near neighbours, no main road, no through road past the property, no electric pylons , fabulous views, near enough to nearest town for comfort. We found it!!!

Peace and quiet are the best way of describing Cellole. In the summer months the odd tractor ploughing the vines can be heard in the distance otherwise its just the crickets chirping in the garden thay you can hear.
