Enjoyable stay in central Taormina

We had a great time staying at this property as it is centrally located and close to lots of restaurants and shops. Every thing you need is within walking distance. Mike the host was great a staying in touch and recommending local restaurants and activities.

Our group of 4 had a pleasant stay. We appreciated the excellent communication from the host, as well as the thorough welcome packet. The location is fantastic, steps from Corso Umberto, shops & cafes.This is a 5-floor townhouse with narrow staircases. Moving luggage to the bedrooms is challenging. The main living room is on the top floor & the kitchen is on the 3rd. Spending time together requires a lot of stairs.The 4th-floor bathroom is spacious and nicely updated. The 1st- and 2nd-floor bathrooms are smaller with very compact showers. We noticed a septic-type odor on those floors. The 4th-floor bedroom is the most spacious. The lower-floor rooms are far smaller.The kitchen includes a kettle, coffee maker, & mini fridge. There is no microwave, toaster, oven, or dishwasher, which matters if you plan to prepare meals.We stayed in January. Each bedroom has its own heating unit, which took time to warm up but was comfortable once running.The furnishings are charming but delicate. One bed creaked, & some drawers, door, & closet handles were partially detached.Due to the central location, there is street noise in the mornings, especially in the 1st and 2nd-floor bedrooms.Amenities were minimal. Basics like napkins & paper towels would have been helpful. The in-unit washing machine was convenient.Overall, this is a great location, best if you are comfortable with stairs, minimal kitchen facilities & some street noise in exchange for being in the heart of Taormina.

This is the perfect property if you want to stay in the heart of Taormina! Not only is it conveniently located, it is also clean and well furnished. Perfect Location

We loved our stay in Taormina! The property is in a perfect location and the management team always responded quickly with any questions. Step outside to numerous restaurants and shops. Although we had to get use to the steps to the 5th floor living area, the view of Mt. Etnea is wonderful! A perfect vacation spot.

Very nice house and manager was very helpful. Stairs were narrower than expected and rooftop smaller than expected . Otherwise a good experience with a well stocked house.

Location! Location! Location! This is it!

The villa was very clean and we loved that everyone had their own en suite bathroom. Best part was that you could walk out the door and be a five minute or less walk from everywhere! Beautiful churches, roman ruins, fabulous shopping, great bistros, balcony has beautiful views. I would definitely recommend this place and go there again!

Our family of 6 loved our stay. The charm of being right in town a minute from BamBam granita next-door to an inclusive little market for every day needs We could see a view of Mount Etna from the terrace Air conditioning was greatly appreciated. Everyone in our family of six was able to sleep comfortably. The bathrooms were great responsive hosts able to set up transportation upon arrival and departure and restaurant recommendations. House in the very center of Taormina

Excellent communication with the host. The location is also excellent. There is a room in each floor, not appropriate for children and the elderly. For young people is a good choice. We had a pleasant stay. I recommend it.

Best place in Taormina!

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in my travels to Italy. It’s a beautiful place with wonderful accommodations. The apartment is in the best location to all restaurants, shopping and sites. The recommendations from the Mike and Chiara to eat were fantastic. They arranged transportation as well. This was a great experience. One that we will always cherish. Thank you for a great visit.

Elegant and Comfortable House in Taormina Old Centre

We spent great days in this elegant and very well located house in the old center of Taormina. The house is exactly as shown in the photos and is equipped with everything you need. The view is privileged. Many restaurants, bars and markets are nearby. You can go walking to the Teatro Antico which is very convenient to watch the events. Silvia was very helpful with parking and suggestions for tours. We really recommend Palazzo Francesca as a good base for a staying in Taormina. Oswaldo e Fernanda

Taormina Central - close to everything

We were 6 adults (2 parents with adult children and their spouses) - perfect location for restaurants, shopping, close to car park, close to Greek theatre, park (Villa Communale) This house is beautifully decorated and well equipped (lots of hangers and even a hair dryer). Mike is very responsive, Chiara super helpful at check-in and also arranging drivers. We had a car, but did not use it - walked everywhere (to top of hill and down to Isola Bella). As commented by other reviewers, stairs in this house not suitable for young children or those with mobility issues. Would highly recommend this property.

Taormina at its Best

This property was the perfect spot for myself, my husband, our 16 year old daughter, and my 79 year old mother in law to visit Taormina! It is located in the heart of the city. We walked everywhere. We didn't need a car at all. There were markets and many fantastic restaurants easily within walking distance. Our host, Mike, sent a very detailed welcome packet so we already had an excursion to Mt Etna booked before we arrived. Mike gave wonderful recommendations for wineries and restaurants. He couldn't have been more helpful. He told us how to set up a driver from the airport and had a wonderful young lady named Chiara meet us at the apartment. She was a wealth of knowledge about the apartment and even had some recommendations of her own. The apartment itself was fantastic for us. We each had our own bedroom and the common room upstairs was great for being together in the evening. The views of Mt Etna from that room and the roof never get old! The stairs between the floors are not difficult. I was concerned about them because of my mother in law's age. Mike was very honest and helpful in describing them. He was 100% correct and the stairs weren't an issue at all. It was a beautiful trip made more beautiful by having a fantastic location and an apartment that truly felt like home!

Sicilian Highrise in Ideal Location

Three couples stayed at this Taormina apartment in March. As previously mentioned, the apartment is in a great location for both restaurants and shopping. Roberto communicated with me in a timely and professional manner and any questions asked were answered. The welcome package information from Michael was very informative. Upon arriving and being lost, Roberto met us and led us to the parking garage, which was within walking distance of the apartment. Due to the weather, we were unable to enjoy the Beach Club or the upstairs deck, which did have incredible views. Our dinner at the Red & White Restaurant, as Roberto recommended was wonderful, as were several other restaurants we found on our own. The stairs were numerous (one person had mobility issues that were not present when booked 2 years ago), but we made it. Bathrooms were small (one person at a time) but bedrooms were nicely decorated and had ample space. Washing machine was a plus. Kitchen was disappointing in size of refrigerator and dishwasher, but doable. I failed to notice this in the VRBO explanation and reviews. The newly installed heaters/air-conditioning units were not working properly, but Roberto had someone come in to look at them. Read all the previous reviews, as they all have something important to add. I would say that this Sicilian type house, with these narrow staircases are not conducive to all travelers, but it is noted on the explanation and reviews and must be decided by the traveler.

Perfect stay - most accommodating

Our host, Chiara, was so available, helpful and lovely. She met us at a point and guided us through the streets to the parking garage. She supplied useful information and was available to answer any questions that we had. Absolutely fantastic. The apartment is in the best location imaginable. Our favorite restaurant, granita bar and arancini were footsteps outside the door. Despite the central location, it is quiet. It is comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The balconies give the most spectacular views and we enjoyed them even in December. We hope to return on our next visit to Taormina.

Great location and comfortable apartment

The apartment worked out great for the four of us. The location is perfect making it easy to explore Taormina. The apartment was clean, everything worked but there could have been a few more drinking/ wine glasses. The description was very clear that this is a vertical layout with many steps, so be aware of the necessity to be ok with the steps. We would defiantly stay there again and we recommend it to others.

Amazing location I. Taoromina

The property could not be in a better location. Property was clean and check in process was great It is five floors walk up with bedrooms on 0,1,3. Kitchen on 2, living room on four and terrace on five. Having a washer was a plus Mount etna was active during our stay and it was cool to see the red lava flow from the terrace at night. Large luggage or physically challenged may have difficulty with the stairs.. We had an amazing trip and stay

Gem in Taormina!

First, I would like to say Roberto was very hospitable and responded VERY quickly to all my communications. He is a delightful young man. It might be helpful to receive a little more information upon check-in regarding all the wall switches which not only operate the lights, but the buzzer to the front door to let people in, as well as the water heater and air conditioner. The townhouse is beautifully decorated. It is basically one room on each floor with a narrow marble staircase connecting the rooms (Note: large suitcases are difficult to manage up the staircase). The kitchen is more of a dining room than a kitchen as there is only a cooktop, mini-refrigerator and sink (no microwave). This was not a problem for us since there are so many wonderful restaurants literally outside the front door. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were well equipped. The townhouse is located in the heart of Taormina (the neighborhood is very quiet at night) and is within walking distance to many of the town's historic sites. I would definitely return to this townhouse again, though I would bring carry-on size suitcases next time. Thank you for a wonder stay!

Spacious 3 bed apartment in central Taormina. No better location!

Thoroughly recommend this property in a fantastic location in central Taormina. For sure there are plenty of stairs in the property but the roof garden & lounge make it worth while climbing them. Loved being able to step outside & grab an espresso & granita at the Bam Bar and being in the centre of town. Roberto was on hand to help make it a great stay, he is simply the best person I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with whilst renting properties. Recommended.

Top locatie.Zo gezellig uit de woning midden in de winkels en restaurants.Alleen voor wat oudere mensen is sjouwen met zware koffers naar 4 hoog is niet handig.We hebben de woonkamer in de topetage bijna niet gebruikt.Na een dag door de stad lopen is thuis trap op trap af voor elke wissewasjes wel erg vermoeiend.Voor de rest hebben we genoten van ons verblijf en de woning ziet er prima uit.
