We enjoyed our stay, such a quiet neighbor and so convenient to shopping and restaurants. The home is well taken care of, we were very comfortable. The host provides all the necessities for kitchen use, and the access to laundry facilities wasa plus. We felt safe and at ease throughout our stay; our senior fur baby was even very comfortable. Thank you Monica for every thing, this first time experience with a vacation home staywas incredible!

Cute cottage. Great fenced in yard for my dogs to play in. Went in Feb 2026, when FL had a huge cold snap. The heat pumps made it very comfy. Host was were accommodating, when there were some issues with the heat outside. There is no lake view, that I could see. WiFi was great.

Perfect house for your weekend!

The House is very nice, needs a little upgrade, especially in the laundry room, but other than that is great home for stay. Very nice front yard space

I definetively had a wonderful time in this property, rooms were quite comfortable and property is very clean but also very safe, location is just perfect! I was near of everything I needed to buy and the service was awesome. I will definetively come back there again. Thanks a lot!.

Perfectly non-fancy

Monica was very nice to work with. The house is simply cute. We selected because we have 3 dogs-and they LOVED it! The house is simple, clean, close to attractions (art district, downtown Ocala, Silver Springs) and even has a piano that my musical son enjoyed. We experienced a local resident Peacock while there-apparently comes annually. Very cool!

Perfect for a short stay!

I needed a quick home away from home and this place did the job. If you are looking for something upscale this definitely isn’t what your looking for. I don’t have many complaints about this place it definitely was well accommodated with everything you could need. But this place is a lot smaller than it looks in pictures, as well does not have central air or heat. And definitely a little run down with only bands aids to fix issues. Good location to the live stock pavilion as well as a 13 mins drive to silver springs which is a must see. Monica was an amazing host, there was a lovely welcoming note. And fresh flowers upon arrival. The place was definitely clean as it could get. I would stay here again

Great Location! Nice back yard! Would do it again in a heart beat

Close to Silver Springs, downtown, Ross and Bealls. Easy access to roads leading to Rainbow Springs, Whispering Oaks Winery and Hiatus Brewing. Dinner downtown at Harry's (took our dog, sat outside) and La Cuisine (only place our dog didn't go) were excellent and a lot of fun. The art show on the downtown square was packed. A lot to see. I cannot emphasize enough how convenient the location was. 10 minutes to downtown. 10 minutes to Silver Springs. Close to Publix for groceries. Almost any other neighborhood would have been loaded with traffic. The home is quite comfortable with 2 bedrooms. Some nice broken-in couches to relax on. A short block to walk the dog around. A huge back-yard well-fenced. Rin Tin Tin was one neighbor and a very friendly black dog in the other yard behind the house. There -is- a washer and (I believe) a dryer, but they are in the shed behind the house, which we never looked into. The house was very quiet. We're on a month-long road trip and this was by far the best place for the dog. For people, maybe it could have been fancier, but not by much; I probably wouldn't mention it were it not for some of the other reviews. We'd stay here again.

Unfortunate experience

I originally booked to stay for 6 weeks but checked out after 4 weeks once I found other accommodations. In general the property was dirty, run down and not in a safe location. I cleaned the house when I arrived, the floors left the Swiffer pads brown with dirt. Overall it looked and felt like it wasn't cleaned or maintained very well. When I first arrived we had some cold nights, low 30 degrees. There is a small heater in living room and a portable but it was still very cold in the house. I wouldnt consider it to meet the requirements to be called "heated". The laundry is located in a filthy run down tin shack in the back yard. I only went out there when it was light out. The neighborhood is mixed use and as a single woman staying alone I did not feel safe. On a good note, the owner was very pleasant, responded in reasonable time frames and did accept my dog, which I am grateful for. I met the couple that fix things/take care of things and the lawn mowing gentleman, they were all very nice. I just wish she had been more forthcoming about the location and condition of the property.

Hi Jacki, I am so disappointed to hear that you had these issues. The heater is the Living Room is a backup heater. The main AC unit does have a heater and more is more than sufficient at heating the entire home. I am sorry I did not communicate clearly enough about how to use the main heater. The shed out back is made of metal and serves as a laundry room. It has been completely renovated and upgraded since your stay. The location is of mixed use which many not be for all guests. Most guests do enjoy visiting the Art and Downtown Districts but I understand this may not have been for you. As you can see from past reviews this is not an issue I have had with any prior guests. I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you had during your stay. I hope you will come back and try my home again as I have hired a new cleaning company to deep clean the home after every check out.

Don't recommend

I was disappointed in this property. The place is a little run down but the two biggest issues was that the back door leading to the back yard had half the screen missing so frogs and lizards were entering the house because there was a gap in the wood door. We stuffed it with plastic bags which solved the problem but refused to go in the back yard to the laundry which appeared to be housed in a small shed so obviously could not do any laundry. The other huge issue was the sewer smell coming from the bathroom which got so overwhelming especially after it rained that we literally had to put towels over our faces to use the bathroom. There were other small issues but I'm a very adaptable person so no need to mention. I did speak with the owner and advised her that although these were not quick fixes I wanted her to be aware for any future renters. She wasn't very receptive so my guess is the issues won't be corrected. In any case I would steer clear of this rental, there are many more out there for the same price which are much better quality.

I am very disheartened to see this. I have taken all of this into account and had the back door and screen door replaced. It was a metal door which the new one is as well. There is now a new large washer and dryer and the shed has been renovated and updated as well. It is very common in Florida to use these sheds as laundry rooms. You are honestly the first guest to have had an issue with this. I take a lot of pride in maintaining a quality stay for my guests and take all feedback provided into consideration while improving/upgrading the home and property. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
