Wonderful villa in the hills above Sarlat but an easy 20 minute walk to the centre of the old town. Beautiful heated pool that we made good use of despite the poor weather (we were unlucky). In the circumstances it was great to have a spacious house that had a well-stocked kitchen to cook in and comfortable sofas to relax in. Our host Emmanuelle was so welcoming and flexible when we had a tyre blow out on the drive down meaning we were several hours late. Would highly recommend.

We had an excellent stay. The house is clean, spacey and all amenities are there. Big plus was the fact that the house had a/C in all rooms. The pool is big and heated. The area is very private and quiet. We had good contact with Emanuelle and her brother, they are both very helpful. I can only recommend this house!

Great Fun

Really enjoyed this property and hosts!Plenty of space, very clean and a well working AC (def needed it :-)).Would come back - no probs at all. All was as described and Sarlat is a lovely town.

Brilliant. AC is perfect in every room with individual controls. Relaxing, quiet. Walk to town bit of a hill otherwise use a car. Car park just down the hill, free, walk to town easy.

Perfection in Sarlat!

This house is beautiful, clean and in a nice, quiet location, but also very close to the restaurants and shops ..... on a cool day we walked to town but on a hot day, or if you just don't feel like walking since it is a bit hilly - there are 2 very convenient, free parking lots that you can easily park in at the bottom of the hill. We had 2 beautiul weeks - either visiting nearby towns and villages or hanging out by the beautiful, always spotlessly cleaned - pool ..... with wine and books and snacks. It went by way too quickly! Emmanuelle was wonderful - took plenty of time showing us around the house (which is lovely) and always easy to communicate with. We really had no problems at all - we would love to return! Thank you Emmanuelle for everything - we loved our stay!

Amazing month in Sarlat

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for a month as a family, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The house is incredibly spacious, with large bedrooms—each featuring its own ensuite bathroom—which made it ideal for our extended stay. The kitchen and dining area were well-equipped and generously sized, perfect for family meals and gatherings.One of the standout features is the large private garden. It was a hit with our baby, and garden lovers will appreciate the peaceful setting and beautiful views.The location is also excellent. It's just a 15-minute walk into medieval part of the town - for the more active folks - whilst you still feel like you are in the countryside. And if you don't fancy a walk there is a free car park to drive to. Sarlat itself is a fantastic hub for exploring the region. It’s large enough to offer plenty of shops, restaurants, and amenities, which kept things fresh even over the course of a month. Its central location also made it easy to reach many charming smaller towns, most within a 20-minute drive.Emmanuelle and her team were outstanding hosts—warm, responsive, and always helpful. We felt very well looked after during our stay.Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a relaxing, well-located base in the region.

Tranquil, Beautiful Villa

Emmanuelle is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The villa and pool were exceptionally clean and exceeded our expectations. The location of the property is within easy walking distance to Sarlat historic centre with a steep climb on the way back. We would definitely recommend this tranquil, well-situated villa.

Great location to explore the Dordogne River area

This lovely contemporary home is nestled in a nice neighborhood just outside the town of Sarlat. So rare to find a rental home with 3 en-suite updated bathrooms. We stayed there with another couple and it was perfect for us. Note that one bedroom is on ground level and the other two (one queen bed and twins in third bedroom) are up a rather steep flight of stairs). The weather was too cool to enjoy the pool. We enjoyed the 10 minute walk to town but the return walk is very steep. The kitchen is well-equipped and we enjoyed shopping at the Sat. and Wed. markets in Sarlat and cooking our dinner at the house. The house was exceptionally clean and tidy. Note that you must provide your own soaps and shampoos. Communication with the owner was excellent! Emmanuelle answered my questions prior to the trip within 24 hours (even with a 6 hour time difference) and responded promptly to any questions or needs after we arrived. She also kindly met us at the house for our late arrival. This is the perfect location to enjoy the bustling town of Sarlat (many restaurant options nearby) and to take day trips to explore the beautiful Perigord region. Don’t miss taking a canoe trip on the Dordogne River to see the majestic castles on the hills. Take a picnic and stop on a little beach to take it all in. I hope to come back someday!

Maison très agréable

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. La maison est très agréable et les espaces suffisants pour que chacun apprécie les lieux et s’y sente bien. La piscine chauffée en contrebas de la maison est vraiment un plus pour toute la famille

Luxury modern house with great swimming pool

We spent a week in this great house in July 2024. The property is modern with an attractive character. The pool is large, clean and was warm while we were staying. There is plenty of parking a well kept garden wrapped around the property. All the rooms inside were clean and modern. There is good air conditioning throughout. The kitchen is well specced and there is a gas BBQ. The property is 1.5km walk from the old town so usually we drove and parked closer. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area.

Einfach fantastisch!

Wir hatten das Glück, eine Woche in dieser tollen Villa in Sarlat verbringen zu dürfen. Die Einrichtung liess keine Wünsche offen. Unsere Kinder haben den schönen Pool und wir Eltern die ruhige Umgebung sehr genossen, und unsere Spaziergänge ins nahe Städtchen waren wunderbar. Emmanuelle war eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Wir kommen gerne nächstes Jahr wieder!

Fabulous villa in lovely area

Wonderful

The house is lovely, Emmanuelle a caring and attentive host. We were 5 and as each bedroom has its own bathroom we did not step on each. Close to town, Sarlat just magnificent, we loved everything and enjoyed every minute, even with not too perfect weather!

Sarlat holiday

Lovely house with plenty space for 6 adults. Very clean and well equipped. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking equipment - we did buy 6 wine glasses to use while we were there as the ones supplied seemed a bit small. All the equipment worked well and we had no problems at all. Good pool for cooling off in during the very hot weather and plenty garden space for playing games or for finding your own quiet spot. Comfortable beds in spacious bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities. The air conditioning made life so much more comfortable when things became too hot for us outside. The house manager was very efficient and helpful and quickly replied to any queries. The walk to the boulangerie takes about 20 minutes - it's a pleasant walk although the hill on the way back is a bit steep. Sarlat markets are very busy during the holiday period, we found the market a Domme to be a more pleasant and less hectic experience. Plenty to see and do in Sarlat and surrounding area. Food is delicious everywhere. Thoroughly recommend this place and have no hesitation awarding 5 stars.

Sarlat Review

Very happy with the Villa and Pool, both of a high standard. Emmanuel was very helpful and friendly, allowed us to check-in an hour early and took us around the Villa explaining how things worked and gave us lots of local knowledge re supermarkets, restaurants etc. She was always on hand if anything was needed.

belle villa à Sarlat

Très beau gîte, spacieux et bien équipé (SdB dans toutes les chambres). Grande piscine chauffée et beau jardin. Le tout à 15' à pieds du coeur de Sarlat. Que dire de plus? Que Fred et Emmanuelle, les hôtes, sont extrêmement sympathiques... sans conteste une très bonne adresse.
