A winemaker practicing organic farming, Marguerite-Marie welcomes you to a historic 18th-century farm outbuilding, completely renovated into a beautiful characterful home, nestled on a former vineyard which she has lovingly revived (Domaine du Mérac / tastings and sales available by appointment). Located in the heart of a small residential hamlet nestled on the edge of fields and vineyards, in the peri-urban Mâconnais countryside, in a bucolic setting of rolling hills and vineyards, it is just a stone's throw from the charming, typical market town of Charnay-les-Mâcon, a place of many facets, both urban and rural (the ideal compromise between town and country), boasting its own AOC/AOP ("Mâcon Charnay-les-Mâcon"), a rich heritage (10th-century Romanesque church, numerous castles, 19th-century icehouse, restored old oil mill, etc.) as well as all modern amenities. The gîte offers excellent comfort and is exceptionally spacious. Spacious rooms. Elegant contemporary country style blending tradition and modernity. A peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Full of charm. Large sunny and shaded terrace. Pleasant small shared garden with exotic umbrella pines, adjoining a large gravel courtyard, a veritable "natural pétanque court." Access to the owners' above-ground pool, which is "private" in summer. Beautiful unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside and vineyards. Compositoin: House comprising 1 gîte + 2 permanent rentals (completely independent) next to the owners' house. Wi-Fi. Electric heating. Duplex gîte. Ground floor: living room/kitchen/lounge, separate WC/laundry room. First floor: 2 bedrooms (one with a 160x200cm double bed / one with two 90x190cm single beds + one with a 100x180cm single bed), bathroom (bath/WC). Private terrace and parking. Shared garden and courtyard. Bicycle storage. Above-ground swimming pool belonging to the owners (4.5m diameter / 30m behind the building) reserved exclusively for guests from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm (July 1st to August 31st). Amenities 2.5 km. Comfortable cottage with a contemporary spirit nestled in an old agricultural building of character from the 18th century steeped in history, carefully restored & revisited into a gentle holiday resort, adjoining the town center of Charnay-les Mâcon, a charming wine-growing & shopping town (very many amenities on site including supermarket), gateway to both Mâcon located 3.5 km away and the landscaped jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labeled Grand Site de France nestled 6 km away. In a small residential hamlet nestled on the edge of fields & nestled on the borders of the Mâconnais vineyards (including the famous & magnificent "Val Lamartinien" nearby) and Haut Beaujolais. Ultra privileged location on the routes of the "Burgundy Wine Route", the GR76, several hiking trails marked as "green walks" (very rich network of hiking trails of the same type to discover in the surrounding area), the church circuit romanes (historical heritage unique in France) & a referenced favorite bike loop of 17 km, 700m from the greenway & 5 km from a marked mountain bike route (vast marked mountain bike area to explore on the massif) . Ideal for easily traveling throughout southern Burgundy: 3 km from the A6 (exit 29) & the connection to the RCEA, 2.5 km from the Mâcon Loché TGV station, 16 km from the Touroparc Zoo animal park, 20 km from the famous abbey city of Cluny, 35 km from Tournus, 35 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 38 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 41 km from Bourg-en-Bresse & 52 km from Charolles.
