Also, just minutes away from the beaches of South Padre Island. Located bayside, with access to the Gulf of Mexico for great fishing and a short drive to SPI (beach). This Sea Cottage is perfect for your vacation getaway.
A fee of $94 .00 is due at registration as per LIV at the Welcome center. This gives you access to the resort amenities, a parking permit, gate access and pool wrist bands.

Pictures are deceptive and outdated; no Elevator, no outside Umbrella and view of SpaceX is virtually non existence. There are better options keep looking.

Great Location, Needs A Little TLC

The house is in a wonderful location, right at the beginning of the bridge that takes you to South Padre. The neighborhood is nice & people are very friendly. The house itself was comfortable, although the outside could use a little attention--about half the Edison bulbs are burnt out, the owl meant to scare away the birds has no head (haha), and the grill is completely rusted (maybe unavoidable on the coast?). The inside was fine, but there was no body wash or bar soap. The instruction manual definitely needs updating to include elevator operating instructions (only way to access the loft) and the TV. Owner did not send access codes to neighborhood or cottage, we called him on the way to the property. That said, owner was very responsive once contacted. With just a little bit of TLC, this property could easily be 5 stars.

Very relaxing and clean with all the amenities

We enjoyed our stay at Long Island villages. The sea cottage was perfect for the 4 of us. The sea cottage was clean and well equipped. We spent every evening on the porch watching the sunset, dolphins, birds, boats, ships and barges. We spent the day fishing and bird watching. Gabriel was an awesome host and answered any questions we had. Very easy access instructions to the cottage and while staying in the cottage. During our stay we observed Purple Martins, Snowy Egret, Common Egret, Great Blue Heron, Little Blue Heron, Barn Swallow, Double Crested Cormorant, Brown Pelican, Laughing Gull, Osprey, Logger-head Shrike, Blackburnian Warbler, Black-bellied Whistling Duck, Red-breasted Merganser, Redhead, Staling, English Sparrow, Herring Gull, Royal Tern, Great-tailed Grackle, Boat-tailed Grackle, Turkey Vulture, Caracara, Cooper's Hawk, Rock Dove, Eurasian Collared Dove, Morning Dove (27), Little Green Heron, Red-winged Blackbird, Golden-crowned Woodpecker, Tree Swallow, Kiskadee, Great White Heron, White Ibis, Ring-billed Gull, Wiltet, Solitary Sandpiper (10), Greater Yellowlegs, Black-necked Stilt, Merlin, Least Sandpiper, Roseate Spoonbill, Tri-colored Heron (43), Coyote and many Dolphins.

False advertising

I will be very honest the experience of check in wasn’t that great. For one we were not given detailed instructions of check in and two the security at the gate had no details of us the renters coming in there is also after hours list advising security that guest will be arriving… we weren’t on that list . The security was able to speak with the host was able to confirm that we in fact were renting, security later advised us that we must go in and get checked in at the main office between 8-4pm the very next day. The next day we check in and we had to pay an additional 100 for us to stay at the property (amenity access with wrist bands and parking permits). When getting to the property and going up the stairs there is a palm tree and the leaves kinda hang over and get in the way while going up the stairs especially with luggage I was very scared to fall down the stairs. It was told that there is elevator access but no elevator in sight and no key or code to use elevator. Code was also not given at the time of check in for the main door.Balcony looked a little warn out and some lights worked and some didn’t.Barbecue pit was also a little warn out as in leaning and hanging on by a thread. The property was clean and host was able to be contact right away. Pictures are very misleading and expectations were not met at all.Overall disappointing experience.

This place was great and the host was very responsive. The check in process was kinda clumsy but we figured it out with a phone call or two. The location was awesome. I kinda wanna live there now.

Great Stay

We had a great stay Jan-April 2021. Gabriel and his wife are great hosts and were simply a text/phone call/email away to assist us. The property was clean, the views of the ship channel were great and the neighborhood was quiet.

Wrong contact information for reservation

Everything was good till check out and we found out our car was towed. The front office had the wrong contact information and they contacted the wrong renter. They kept saying the reservation was for a Mata.

Sorry to hear that. The resort has very strict rules about parking.. If you park on the wrong space, they don't hesitate to call wrecker.
