Welcome to our home.
The studio in Les Arcs 2000 is our favorite place to unwind and spend wonderful moments with our children.
We chose Les Arcs 2000 because we can count on reliable snow conditions from December through April.
We’re a couple with four children, and we’ve made this place an exact replica of our home in terms of amenities so we can stay organized and have everything we need.
First of all, the building is called Le Fond Blanc, and it’s perfectly located in Varet on the site of the old ice rink. So everything is within a few meters.
There’s a drop-off area upon arrival, and if it gets a bit too crowded, there’s another car entrance that takes you to the other side, at the bottom of the building, where it’s quieter. This is a real plus because it saves you from having to walk through two buildings and take three elevators—like you would at other places—to get to your rental. Once you’ve unloaded, you can park in the paid parking lot at the resort entrance, but at least you’ll be traveling lighter on the way back 😜. This was one of the reasons we chose this place—as you can imagine, traveling with four kids means we’re always loaded down.
On the same square at the bottom of the building, you’ll also find a sports equipment rental shop (Intersport), as well as a tobacco shop for accessories and postcards, and a passageway leading you to the other side of the buildings onto Place Olympique.
Similarly, it’s just a few meters from our building’s entrance to the ski-in/ski-out trail—it’s very convenient. And for the return trip, there’s even a ski conveyor belt… it’s great.
As I mentioned earlier, the studio itself has been renovated for our comfort—and I hope yours, too. The walls and floors were repainted last year, and the furniture and amenities were updated this year.
The sleeping area has a bunk bed, and the living room has been furnished with two sofa beds, each sleeping two people. You’ll also find a travel crib for families who need one, so you don’t have to bring one from home. We know what it’s like—our youngest is 17 months old😂😂.
We’ve equipped the kitchenette with a new 4-burner induction cooktop, a new microwave, a dishwasher, and a convection oven/oil-free air fryer with 15 cooking programs for every type of dish. The best part is the large fridge we installed—even for a family of three, it’s impossible to get by with the small fridges found in most rentals. Let’s be honest: buying a week’s worth of groceries at your local supermarket—which you can store—will always be cheaper than shopping every two days due to lack of space, not to mention paying double at the resort’s convenience store.👍🏻
A large-screen TV has also been installed, and there’s an internet connection and Wi-Fi, as well as a small Bluetooth speaker. The signal is strong enough even for remote work (given the times).
We’ve added new storage solutions and equipped the studio with everything you need for the kitchen (dinnerware, cookware, and utensils) as well as for sleeping (6 pillows, 2 double comforters, and 2 single comforters). All you need to bring are your own sheets and towels.
You also have a real bathroom. As you may have noticed, most rentals often have prefabricated plastic bathrooms, like those in Formule 1 motels. Not here—ours is a real bathroom, and it’s much more pleasant. Of course, there’s a washing machine, and this year we’ve also added a condenser dryer. It’s pure bliss not to have to bring 12 suitcases anymore and to be able to wash and dry your clothes quickly.🍾🍾🍾. The biggest perk, in my opinion—and not many people think about this—is imagining the joy of not having to weave your way through drying ski suits all evening after a day on the slopes, because the dryer takes care of it all and has everything put away in just one hour 😀😀😀.
You’ll also have a fairly large balcony (6 m²) where you can get some fresh air or store things. The view overlooks the mountains rather than the square, so it’s nice and peaceful.
The residence is secure, and you’ll have a key for the elevator.
There is a ski locker available for your use.
Finally, as you’ve seen, we allow pets, but we really count on guests to bring clean, well-trained, and calm pets to avoid any complaints from our neighbors.
Finally, given the current health situation, as you’ll see
