Not a good option if you like peace and quiet

The #1 reason to stay here is the location. It's a 5 minute walk to the main gondola square and other nearby businesses. The private garage is also nice, but beware that several people (including the cleaning staff) frequently like to park in front of it, so you'll likely to have to ask people to move their car if you're going anywhere. Unfortunately, there's zero sound proofing in the unit, and it can be obnoxiously loud when people are coming and going, especially in the master bedroom. Other reviewers complained, but I figured we could brave it, but I didn't consider the fact that there were spring breakers staying in the unit upstairs. It was a group of colllege-age guys and they were screaming and yelling, playing drinking games all 3 nights we stayed. This made sleep very difficult and I had to get up on two of the nights at 1 or 2am to ask people in the common space to please be quiet. Oh, and the description isn't clear, but this place has its own private sauna!! The description says it has a "shared sauna", and it does in the main building. But in the main bathroom outside the bedrooms, there's a sauna in what looks like a closet. We didn't discover it until the last night, otherwise we definitely would have used it. The listing also doesn't have any pictures to confirm this. Just FYI...

Summer in Steamboat

Frustrated with another property and how hot it was, we needed to change locations quickly. We were limited, as not many rentals have air conditioning, but found this unit. When we arrived, there was no hot water and we did not realize until after the office had closed. I called anyways and someone got back to be that night. The maintenance man was there to fix it within the hour and had resolved the problem quickly. He was extremely friendly and we were incredibly thankful. The floors were disgusting and turned our feet black so we kept our shoes on when walking around. Other than that, we loved our stay! Within walking distance from everything from the market and bistro to the ski village!

A very comfortable condo within walking distance to the gondola. The unit was very clean and well equipped. There’s a nice pool and hot tub. The front desk staff are friendly and competent. Included indoor parking is a plus. There is also a free shuttle on call. Good restaurants are within a short walk.

Everything worked and we were comfortable at 19 below zero. Fireplace was great, just turn the thermostat up and down. Great location and the van service was amazing. Longest wait was maybe 20 minutes one time, the drivers were great. The condo had everything we needed.

Close to the slopes

Short walk (9 min) to the gondola or Christie Lift. Also, shuttle comes right by front door in the AM for a ride if needed. The garage was great. Warm, secure, and we stored our skis and poles in there every day.

Great location, ok accommodations

Location is the key here. Very convenient to the gondola and restaurants. Garage a big plus. The home itself is dated and needs work. Tubs wouldn’t drain so you were showering in a pool, convenient scald feature followed by the freezing feature. Walls paper thin, so in the master forget about sleeping past 730, as soon as your neighbors left you knew and also could hear what they were talking about. Would probably look elsewhere first next time.

Steamboat Condo

Overall, we all enjoyed staying at this property. This property is located within walking distance to the Gondola however they provide free shutlle service to the ski resort and any where in town. That is a great service so you dont have to get a rental car. The only issue, which was corrected by the management company when brought to their attention, was the listing stated it could sleep 6 when in fact it could only sleep 4. The management company did step up by correcting the listing and provided an air mattress at their cost, as there was no other places available. I would stay here again or any other properties managed by Vacasa

Great value and location

It's just 2 blocks from lift. Has everything you need. Not fancy. But good hot tub. The people working there were very nice and helpful. Surprisingly so.

Location is great

Great location. Walked to the slopes and restaurants. Spacious and functional. Enjoyed the hot tubs. Master bedroom bed needs help- very squeaky and not comfortable. Everything else was good.

Great location, comfortable stay

There were a couple of glitches with key cards and access. Management was very responsive and made sure we had all the help we needed. A couple of disappointing things--one of the twin beds was very uneven which made it difficult to sleep on. Also, the listed hours for the hot tub and pool were 10pm but depending on the night, it was closed at 8pm and 9pm when we were there. Both times the pool area was quite full of vacationing families and groups, as you might expect for mid-July. Closing that early seemed inappropriate for mid-summer. The location was great. Having air conditioning in the unit was very nice, as the temps were in the high 90s while we were there--unusual for Steamboat Springs, but exactly why AC is useful.

Ski vacation

Our family of 3 stayed in Unit 101 for a week-long ski vacation. It's a convenient location with an easy walk to the gondola. Although it is uphill on the way back and can be a bit tiring at the end of the day after a long day of skiing, but not too bad. We didn't have a car but were able to walk to restaurants, take the Vacasa shuttle or the free Steamboat bus anyway we wanted to go. The unit was comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are a bit small and a king-size bed in the master would have been nice but we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is nicely stocked and there is plenty of seating for eating and relaxing. There is also a private walk-in sauna in the hallway bath that is not mentioned in the description of the condo. That came in handy after a long day of skiing. Also, the Ptarmingan Inn is just across the street and they have a nice little restaurant for breakfast, lunch and happy hour.

Great spot

The unit is a little outdated, but it was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s also air conditioned, which was great for 4th of July weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything. The only complaint I have is that the pool is working under a reservation system, and it was almost completely booked out before we even arrived. There was only one day I could book my family to go to the pool, and we were only allowed to stay for 1 hour.
